As someone who hasn't read the books I found Season 1 fairly dull and uninteresting, but I've been blown away by Season 2. Kudos to the team. What a turnaround - it's easily become one of my favourite shows this year and I can't wait for Season 3.

The really crazy part is that the filming for Season 2 started before all of the feedback for Season 1. So they turned it around without receiving feedback. Season 3 is going to be amazing!

I started this serie because of Rosamund Pike, and I'm completely blown away by her acting skills and personality. The best part is that I fell in love with each character in the serie❤
From reading the books I find the casting for the main characters of this show to be ridiculously good, spot on!🙌

Prepare to find out how terrible the show writers are at adaptation. At least you will get to enjoy the truly epic story and not this Prime drivel.

I haven't read the books but I enjoyed the story they tried to tell in season one and I really enjoyed watching season two, both have some seriously breathtaking moments. All the Actors are so freaking talented and play off each other so well. Some of the scenes this year are heart wrenching and non stop pounding on yer soul, kudos to you all for bringing this together, especially Madeleine Madden (Egwene Al'Vere) who's scenes this season made me want to serve the water for her and just be over with it. My only complaint is there are not enough episodes, 12 or 13 a season would be gold. I look forward to season three as these characters come into their own as a team.

I hope Maddie is nominated for some awards, she did amazing work on Season 2.

The first season was kind of meh for me at first, I initially thought the first season was over but I missed the final 2 episodes! When the 2nd season came out, I realized and watched those and then the rest of it. I'm blown away by season 2 and it brought me to read the first book which I enjoyed a lot. I rewatched the 1st season after and liked it way more. They both feel like great stories, just separate tellings and I can picture the actors when reading the books which is nice! Definitely looking forward to season 3.

I don't know about this video specifically, but judging by the rooms and outfits this was from the press junket day a while back where the cast did interviews with dozens of different publications and streamers. Most of them got maybe 5 minutes with each. Possibly Perrin didn't have anything to say in that one (and might have been super tired from answering the same question all day), or didn't have anything new to add for topics like audition stories since he's a veteran on the show, as opposed to Donal and Ceara who are new.
There is Perrin in this show, just some anorexic looking weakling.

you seriously think the CASTING is on point in this show!?!? Clearly someone hasn't read the books at all. Casting is easily one of the largest failures of the show; some are choices are alright, a very few on point, but most absolutely dreadful.
@@Hesoprimaltho I read all the books multiple times. The first time as they came out. Is it POSSIBLE that each reader has their own experience? Yes. I think the casting is 95% perfect. I think that because obviously they see the characters the same way I did when reading. I don't say YOU must not have read the books because you imagined these characters differently. Go make the show you think this one should be and let those of us who like it have this. I'm not saying this first adaptation is perfect. There were always going to be things we didn't imagine that way for all of us. I think they have nailed the basic emotional truth of the storylines and characters overall. You don't like it. Okay. That does not mean we are objectively wrong. Or that you are but why spend so much time on hate? Go write your own adaptation!
The only shocking secret would be if they actually stuck close to the source material in Season 3.

It was a great season 2, I liked it a lot (and waaaaaay better than ROP and season 1 of WoT). Still there were some visible weaknesses, like filler scenes, badly done, while not enough character development for some of the main characters.
I enjoyed the show enough to get me to read the books. I’m always looking for a new good series to dive into. I should’ve waited to get into the books so that I can continue to enjoy the show… now all I can think about is how much the show has deviated from the plot in the books, and it gives me flashbacks of Eragon (if you know you know) 😬
The acting has been great in my opinion, and I really enjoy the way connecting to the One Power has been visualized. I love the costumes and world design.
I hate the made up romances and promiscuity of some of the characters where that seems to be non-existent in the books (or it is significantly milder than in the show). There are a number of friends that I would’ve suggested this show to that I won’t now because of the unnecessary sexual stuff that Amazon just HAD to include.
I also really dislike how they seem to have ignored to dual nature of the One Power (Saidar and Saidin for the female and male halves of the source). That is pretty essential to the world building, history, and plot throughout the books.
They aged up the main characters a bit so them having sexual relationships is believable. How are they ignoring the difference between saidin and saidar? Logain mentioned that Rand needs to seize it instead of surrendering, and men and women can't see each other's weaves.
The fact that they aged the characters in order to add sex is a change to the story. That’s my point. I don’t care about it being believable, I care about them adding raunchy stuff to the series to make money instead of sticking to the source material.
SPOILERS below (maybe 🤷🏼♂️ you’ve been warned)
Saidin and Saidar have barely even been eluded to. I don’t remember them explaining that there is a female half that only women can touch, and a male half that only men can touch (or the reason why male channelers are “bad”). It’s been a while since I watched the first season, so maybe they did and I just don’t remember. But them suggesting that the dragon reborn could’ve been one of the women is in opposition to the story. The Dragon was a man, and the dragon reborn will always be a man, never a woman. That’s a big part of the fear behind the Dragon being reborn; a man will eventually go mad because of the taint on the male half of the Power, so having the strongest channeler being a man is bad news.
If this was an original story, then I wouldn’t have any of the complaints that I do. But it’s not. And the woke pushers can’t help themselves but to put sex, lgbt, and “girl power” (which is not even necessary in this story since the women are the most powerful characters in it, besides the Dragon) in everything they touch. They are like the taint on Saidin, corrupting everything they touch!
@CarbonFiberSwan They didn't add nudity other than Lan's butt, why does a fade to black sex scene bother you that much? The only thing they changed regarding the Dragon prophecy was whether Moiraine believed he had to be reborn as a man. Moiraine mentioned that she can't teach Rand because it's different, and it's very clear that men who can channel will go mad because of the taint on saidin. Also Moiraine and Siuan canonically were pillow friends in the Tower, they just extended that relationship.
I can’t be more clear than I already have. It wasn’t in the books. Fade to black sex or full nude is not the point. The point is that it was not in the books. The writers of the show took a perfectly fine story that had no sexual content, and changed it to fit their own desires because “sex sales”. It’s pathetic.
Moiraine and Siuan were called pillow pals in the prequel, and that was the extent of it. You are free to let your imagination take you wherever you want, but it was unnecessary to add full on gay scenes between them in the show because of one statement that can be interpreted many ways. Me and my friends slept in the same beds growing up, but we never did anything sexual. We just slept. I’m sure if that was written in a story that Amazon decided to make a show out of, they’d have me and my friends having full blown orgies!
@CarbonFiberSwan lol it was absolutely implied that they had a sexual relationship, RJ just didn't spell it out. There is also sex in the books. Nynaeve asks Lan if there's any way to make Myrelle know he was with Nyn via the bond. They're adapting the show to draw in non-readers, and it worked. Chill.
Imagine how good season 3 would be if they had followed the books just a little bit.

U guys complaining about the show seems don't really care about the actor feelings. They do their best to bring their given role alive and u guys need to put some respect on that. No shows adaption will be great and the reason is every reader has their own pov on the books which is in the way we picture the characters, places and others. The show just symbolised a pov from one person which is the director. If u guys think u guys are good enough, go make one on your own. No need to hate if u don't like it , simple. I was okay with season one, not thrilled. Season two not so much and not even sure I am interested in a season 3 if they can't get back to the source material. Yes, they are huge books, but the writers and not improving the story. At this point I have grown to dislike characters I loved in the books.

As someone how has read all the books. All I can think of is "The Sword of Truth". RAfe has fucked this up on so many levels. I'll just stick with the casting failfest. This is obviosly another DEI shitfest. There is plenty of diversity in this massssive story without the need of creating for just the sake of. Season 1 is horrible. Season 2 is a lot better but still bad and inconsistent. Can see that they were trying to get back to the books in season 2 but damage already done. Honestly, who wrote these craps for the show? Moiraine was beloved in the books but hated in the shows. Guess Rosamund's acting is really bad.
Rosamund was the only capable actor on that show. It's sad that they made her the main character while simultaneously making her unlikable.
