Great video Dom! Is that a Dutch pot I see? You wouldn’t happen to be Jamaican would you?😜 Hot oil treatments are great for relaxed hair, especially while using penetrating oils (olive oil, avocado oil and coconut oil).

Hey girl I really want to relax my hair but I’m scared aff.. but do you relax your hair at home or at a salon?
hey love! & I relax at the salon. I used to relax at home, but it was always uneven & I use to always burn my scalp-my scalp is really sensitive! So once I got a good paying job I said I won’t relax at home anymore. Getting it done at the salon for me is $65, it’s somewhat expensive but it’s every 2/3 months so it’s okay for me. Of course getting it done with a professional, you know your entire head will get relaxed & it’ll come out nice!

Anywhere from 10-15 minutes is good, under a dryer is better. Even overnight is great also! 😊
Wait. Did you just rinse out the hot oil with conditioner or did you use shampoo after the oil?
It’s best to use conditioner to rinse out the hot oil so you can retain moisture as shampoo strips the hair which reverses the effects of an hot oil treatment.
