Peach and pink color correctors for the undereye area have been around for only a relatively short time. For many decades yellow was used to correct dark circles. I have found that yellow still works best for my very dark circles and very fair skintone. Peach or pink correctors look fine when applied and do neutralize, but not enough. When I put my concealer on top of them, the circles show through, but when I use yellow under the eyes the circles don't show through. I use Ben Nye's Yellow Highlight No. 1. Edit: I forgot to mention that my skin has a pink undertone and my circles are bluish. As Shana points out below, a yellow concealer may not work on anyone with a yellow undertone.
Yellow is the best I’ve found too….until I figured out my dark under eyes are more of a dark red and then started trying out green which never worked because they were way too green for my fair skin then I found a really light minty green one….like almost white with a hint of mint green to it and it works perfect to counteract my dark red under eyes. But I still use yellow for my sun spots because it’s perfect for them!
@@selah6335 There are a lot of yellow color correctors out there in a variety of shades. I am very fair and the Ben Nye one I mentioned is the lightest I've found. It's also less creamy than many, so it stays put and doesn't crease. More medium skintones would want to use a darker yellow corrector. I have no idea how it would work on darker or olive skintones.
The blue corrector is a fantastic one if you have a neutral or pinker undertone and your foundation or concealer is to yellow. If you mix it in a little it’ll change the undertone of the foundation or concealer for you 😊

I’m the late 1980’s I wore Mary Kay makeup. Their concealer was straight up yellow! Of course back then, concealer was always applied before foundation, so the yellow was covered up. It looked so pretty, as this was the makeup I wore on my wedding day!!
I love Elf and after watching this I definitely want to pick up the bronzer, SPF primer and, dare I say it, the peach colour corrector! I’ve never used them but you could really see the difference on your under eyes. One thing I love about Elf is that they tend to release new things in the UK at around the same time as the US 😊👌. I have a similar skin tone to you and yellow works beautifully with concealer to brighten. And the blue works AMAZING if you mix it with a concealer or foundation that is pulling too orange or pink for you and you want to neutralize it. Such a charm!
I'm older and use very little concealer so what I do is take a drop of the lighter peach color corrector and mix it with my concealer and it makes such a difference I got a compliment from a woman in Dollar General telling me she thought I looked 15 years younger than I am she made my day I love watching your channel
Back when I was in cosmetology school in the early 1980’s we used color correctors. But instead of peach we were taught to use reddish pink lipstick under the eyes.

Yes! Color corrector really is a must! I prefer the Bobbi brown stick in bisque or tartes color corrector! It’s made such a difference for me! I’m able to use so much less concealer!

I absolutely adore the peach one! I use color corrector often because I have dark purple/blue under eye darkness, so the light peach works really well for me. Especially if I want a flawless look.

Hi, Kelly - the peach/salmon cancels blue under eye circles, while yellow helps neutralize purple under the eyes. I have always had issues with this, so …. I’ll be trying these bad boys. Love elf so thx for the video!
Yea I was confused as to why they labeled the yellow as for dullness. I do the yellow and pink on my under eyes(thanks genetic dark circles and allergies) depending on how bad my allergies are that day. I use purple to highlight if I'm feeling dull and red for my blemishes when needed. The blue I do mic into foundation when it's too yellow.

It's so funny about saying your routine was backwards because before I started watching CZcams beauty content I always used my concealer before foundation and everyone I saw in person did this also. If you were to go a little too heavy on the self tan mix peach and green together with a dab or two or yellow, works wonders for me!!!! Even did this during pageant weekend last year and my under eyes were flawless 🥰
Hands down the absolute freaking game changer color corrector product that convinces people of everything they are missing without it ! I’ve tried a lot of correctors and nothing works like the Becca X Smashbox Brightening Under Eye Corrector in the light / pink shade .. nothing else does what that one does … looks as good as it looks … brighten and bring to life a tired under eye like that ! On lighter days I just use the Becca corrector and when I’m going full glam I will layer it under concealer … it is actual magic in a jar 🪄
Two years ago I bought the Peaches N Cream (light peach) Concealer from Moira Cosmetics. I enjoy playing with colorful eyeshadow, but whenever I use cool toned shadows it brings out the dark circles & veins under my eyes. I'm also very fair skinned so they are more noticeable. Therefore, whenever I use cool toned eyeshadow I don't put any foundation near my under eyes (too many products/layers = more creasing), I use a little of the light peach concealer from Moira (blend), and then use a little of my regular light concealer over it. Overall, the light peach concealer removes the dark circles/veins and makes me look more awake! 😃

I’m a fair skintone and I use light yellow correctors like that elf shade to counteract the dark marks around my eyes when I’m doing more glam makeup. My dark undereyes are much more blue than purple or brown, and the opposite of blue is yellow! So that’s how I’d recommend using it to people with a similar complexion
@@lexijones8019 You’re right the opposite of prime blue is orange. But technically the true opposite of yellow is violet, which is a mix between red and blue with more blue in it, or a very warm blue. That particular shade is what I’m referring to

I wear a bb cream so I think I am going to give the elf sunscreen tint a try! I am going to mix them together and see how it looks. I really wanna try the peach color corrector it really did a nice job! I love the elf lash and roll mascara at the moment it’s my go to! And yes I have one eye lash side that is better than the other side! They are not twins they are sisters!
I have a Milani color corrector from years ago is a small round case. I don’t even have much breakouts but the seldom times I get anything popping up on my face it’s been so good and I don’t even know how to use them! I just pat a little bit after warming it up on my pinkie. Lol! But it hides any surprise well. It has different skin colors shades so good!
I understand everything has gone up in prices. But I’m bummed that ELF prices on some things are as high as they are. I just don’t have the budget for expensive makeup & feel like things are getting too pricey 😒

The blue color corrector can be applied to foundation/concealer that is too orange to tone it down (color theory, color wheel), green could be added to a foundation if you have olive undertones but your foundation doesn't. These formulas are not just to apply directly on the face but to adjust foundations and concealers. A bunch of ppl complainin their foundation don't match 🙄 just use these from Elf or those from L.A. Girl color correction mixing pigments 👌
I love a corrector when I’m super busy at work and I’m starting at 4am so up at 2 and I don’t get much sleep. I can get quiet dry and grey under eyes but using a corrector helps with that grey finish that my usual concealer does when I’m not getting enough sleep. It’s fine usually but on days I’m super tired and haven’t been drinking enough water etc it makes a difference to how much concealer I need to use and the neutralising of the skin.

I don't always use a color corrector either. I usually will wear one if my concealer is thin like the Tarte by the Sea concealer because it provides more coverage. When I use a really thick concealer I don't usually need one unless I feel like it. I have deep skin so I use yellow or the peach color one from Milani. If I use the Glossier stretch pot concealer I don't use a color corrector because it's so thick that when I use, it looks too thick and horrible. Thanks for the video!

The way I understand green is for redness, peach how dark blue veins and yellow to brighten like dull under eyes. You can do both peach and yellow on the eyes in light layers.

The color corrector are good! But I wish the peach was a lil bit lighter. So I use the yellow cuz it's brighter. It works for under eyes as well. But I don't use corrector everyday either.

I'm going purchase everything in this video. The green color corrector I go in with primer to cover up my acne and then go in with the Halo Glow Liquid Filter Glow to cover to up all my acne scars. I normally use the blue corrector to mixi in with my foundations to make it more natural. The Luminous Putty Bronzer I'm going get next time I'm at Target. All the shades in the O Face Satin Lipstick are so pretty but I might pick up the shades Dirty Talk, Effortless, No Regrets, No Doubt, and Own It. I've been using the Maybelline Cover Stick, Corrector in Green and I use it as a contour after primer and then apply my foundation. Another trend I saw on Tik Tok and Instagram reels is that doing your complexion makeup backwards, actually makes your makeup more natural and chisled. Elf's Big Mood Mascara in both original and waterproof are the best mascaras from Elf that I ever tried.
I use the bars color corrector under my eyes and it took a while to incorporate it into my routing. But now I feel like the difference is so huge that I dislike not using it.
Never used color correctors either unless it was a green one for a blemish when younger. So glad to know many others have one good eye for lashes. Ughh. Lol. i think with just color correctorr, ur skin looks perfectly " my skin but better" ...it doesnt look heavy or cakey but very smooth and nutralized
You can also add any color corrector to the eyelids to camo veins etc

The blue helps If you have a foundation that is too orange, you can mix it with the foundation to adjust the color

The lash n roll is absolutely my new favorite mascara! And the roller lash used to be mine....until lash n roll! It's not only a dupe, it's better!!!

You can Mix the blue color corrector in with your foundation if its too warm/ orange.
I love a corrector when I’m super busy at work and I’m starting at 4am so up at 2 and I don’t get much sleep. I can get quiet dry and grey under eyes but using a corrector helps with that grey finish that my usual concealer does when I’m not getting enough sleep. It’s fine usually but on days I’m super tired and haven’t been drinking enough water etc it makes a difference to how much concealer I need to use and the neutralising of the skin.

I don't always use a color corrector either. I usually will wear one if my concealer is thin like the Tarte by the Sea concealer because it provides more coverage. When I use a really thick concealer I don't usually need one unless I feel like it. I have deep skin so I use yellow or the peach color one from Milani. If I use the Glossier stretch pot concealer I don't use a color corrector because it's so thick that when I use, it looks too thick and horrible. Thanks for the video!

I actually tried a wet n wild lipstick I was amazed. It’s called clothes off. It’s really pretty and moisturizing too. I was so surprised I liked it.

The way I understand green is for redness, peach how dark blue veins and yellow to brighten like dull under eyes. You can do both peach and yellow on the eyes in light layers.

The color corrector are good! But I wish the peach was a lil bit lighter. So I use the yellow cuz it's brighter. It works for under eyes as well. But I don't use corrector everyday either.

I make my own tinted sunscreen. Sunscreen, n foundation mixed 2gthr in a pump bottle. That way always wear sunscreen.

I have a new o face lipstick I got the other day. Now I need this shade you got. So pretty!
I'm going purchase everything in this video. The green color corrector I go in with primer to cover up my acne and then go in with the Halo Glow Liquid Filter Glow to cover to up all my acne scars. I normally use the blue corrector to mixi in with my foundations to make it more natural. The Luminous Putty Bronzer I'm going get next time I'm at Target. All the shades in the O Face Satin Lipstick are so pretty but I might pick up the shades Dirty Talk, Effortless, No Regrets, No Doubt, and Own It. I've been using the Maybelline Cover Stick, Corrector in Green and I use it as a contour after primer and then apply my foundation. Another trend I saw on Tik Tok and Instagram reels is that doing your complexion makeup backwards, actually makes your makeup more natural and chisled. Elf's Big Mood Mascara in both original and waterproof are the best mascaras from Elf that I ever tried.
I use the bars color corrector under my eyes and it took a while to incorporate it into my routing. But now I feel like the difference is so huge that I dislike not using it.
Never used color correctors either unless it was a green one for a blemish when younger. So glad to know many others have one good eye for lashes. Ughh. Lol.
