- In this video I show what is involved in applying the Stickerlicker Area 51 vinyl wrap body set for the Tamiya Lunchbox CW-01. I also show a few sticker fitting tips and tricks!
This set is one of many that are available for the Lunchbox and other RC car kits from the website stickerlicker.co.uk
The sticker kit was an awesome Birthday present from my good friend Peter Smith @cw-01creations46 so a massive thanks to him! - Auta a dopravní prostředky

He he, what a cool idea, this! Looks really nice, those very thick stickers, and I think they made a good choice the leave the gaps in between, so they won't overlap. And as always, Mark, I think you did a great job demoing these on video, very nice!

Its amazing that our minds seem to be on similar frequencies, it must be our shared previous professions 😂😂😊😊 the Lunchbox looks great in the wrap from Sticker Licker 😊 and with your hot tools (not jewels 😂) in your hands, those vinyls wrapped around nicely 😊😊well done. It just so happens I’ve a Holiday Buggy project that I’ve been doing too, and yep….i purchased some full size vehicle wrap vinyl and decided to give the wrap a try from scratch though. I’ve managed to do it and it transformed the Holiday Buggy body 😊😊 it’s coming soon to my channel 😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😊

Looks pretty neat and it is a good way to do a full body set in the dead of winter and/or bad weather! No need for stinky paints and a ton of masking off stuff! It turned out really cool looking!

Love how that turned out, you made it look easy..... which it certainly isn't!!
We done the police forensics wrap from stickerlickers on Taylors box, quite a fidly job..... the roof was the hardest part with all those grooves!
They have some awesome designs, but the area51 is definitely one of my favourites.
Such a shame that it's on a rig that spends 50% of its running time on its roof..... but hey, that certainly didn't stop Rob did it?!! 😂
The stickers are actually fairly durable, though do tend to lift a little with climate/humidity extremes, sometimes they need a very small dab of superglue on the edges if they start to lift.
That thing would look so good with working LED lights, and perhaps a little alien driver figure!

It was actually a lot easier than I expected, they are so easy to reapply if it's not quite right.
Oh yes, of course I remember Taylor's Box!!! Haha, good point, most 'Boxes run upside down! At least Robs was on grass and soft leaves! Good to know the stickers are tough, hope mine don't lift up though!

Was trying to get something similar up for Green Hawks over Christmas, but Taylor who does all the editing didn't have much enthusiasm for it.
In the meantime I've been messing about a bit with some video footage and an editing app on my phone on my own channel (yoda darkside of Green HawksRC)..... Just trying to learn how to edit and upload myself so I have an alternative means of releasing videos separate from the main channel.
Should keep me occupied until the others come out of winter hibernation, also give me a chance to try some different things.
Anyway bud, hoping things pick up health wise soon. 🤞

Hey nice job mate and hoorah for young Peter for sending you that. That's a really cool set from Sticker Licker. I didn't do much with the hairdryer on mine as they didn't mention it on the instruction video and I thought these were too thick for it to make any difference but it obviously helps as you have shown. I don't know if I should try using a naked flame in case I burn the house down again! Great result and a really good alternative shell for your Lunchbox. I had only just applied the sticker when I filmed this, and peter said to leave the clear film in place for a couple of hours until the adhesive has set. So that's why it was still on! So cool you noticed though mate, can you be a proofreader for all my edits?!?!? 😁😁👍👍

I have got some of the black stickers but they'd be too big if everyone puts something that size on a Sand Viper shell? I really ought to get some stickers made. I did change my little Lunchbox logo to a more cartoon style with a thought that it would make a better sticker. Do you know if there is a particular sticker web site that people use?

Awesome! Thank you Fil! Yeah you don't see many of these body wrap sets about. We only know of them through the generous Mr Smith! The lighter trick is used on nearly every sticker job I do, it also takes the sharp edges off the cut edge of the stickers making them look less obvious! Give it a go but BE CAREFUL!!! I must say, your black wheels look cool. My mate and I both have HPI Wheely Kings, and his later "black chrome" rims look much cooler than my ordinary chrome ones, but back in the 1990s I desperately wanted chrome rims on my Midnight Pumpkin, so I painted my wheels in Humbrol silver and told myself they looked like chrome.

Very cool gift from Pete..👍🏻👍🏻. I've gotta say that, that is arguably the best Lunchbox I've ever seen and I fully agree about having those black wheels. At the real Area 51 the security are known as 'camo dudes' and if you stray too close to the perimeter they'll approach you in big 4x4's in an attempt to intimidate you. They should change the scheme of their 4x4's from plain white to this...😂😂 - I'd love to see that. Top job mate and a great tip with the credit card too...👍🏻😀.

Hi Mark! Area 51....lol....cool idea from Stickerlicker! I love the design! As you will know, the test of stickers and decals is how long do they stay stuck down?! Some adhesives will make you think they are stuck down then 4 weeks later they lift. You are very skilled with using heat mate......highly impressive! 👍

Decals and me are not a good thing as I do struggle. I think this looks OK but a base colour could be needed, I think silver might have looked better before they went on.

I used a einhell drill I bought came with the bigger battery and charger took the drill apart and cut the handle off and soldiered the connector to the car on add it to any of your cars
