- After last weeks Boeing 747 review it` s now time for an Airbus A380 review of year 2019. In this video I only included clips I filmed in 2019 like this awesome go around at Amsterdam Schiphol of an Emirates Airbus A380. Pilots had to deal with wind speeds up to 45 knots that day. The A380 crew got caught in some windsheers and initiated a go around.
I also included is the beautiful Airbus A380 of All Nippon Airways. The special painted turtle A380 performed a test flight at Finkenwerder earlies this year before its delivery to Japan. Soon the last A380 of All Nippon will be delivered to the japanese company and it will receive a red turtle special cs this time. Can` t wait to see it.
I hope to get some new footage soon, I am just waiting for better weather and especially for a later sunset.

I am awed by the engineering and the incredible mass of the Airbus A380. Just looking at it makes me wonder how it holds together with all of that weight. It is an awesome sight. All of that said, I am old fashioned, I guess, but I still think the Boeing 747 is about the most beautiful and graceful passenger aircraft I have ever seen, and I hate seeing it fly into the history books. It is simply a beautiful aircraft.

I never get tired of watching these behemoths take off and land. What a testament to man’s God-given brainpower; to figure out how and make such a thing fly!

THE A380"SUCKS" 20% less fuel than an older 747....3.5 Liters of fuel/passenger for a 100 KM....Faster and quieter and up to 800 Seats for high commercial Cie"s.

A wonderful aircraft, I have had the (dis) pleasure or flights in so called dream liners, but boing have to catch up, the 380 must be the best plane ever.. always preferred Airbus to Boing.

Dread Pirate Roberts apparently not as profitable. Not selling any new ones, and even heard one was ‘returned’ and dismantled for parts as the airline wasn’t interested in using it anymore. I’ll see if I can find the source for that

Great from outside, impressive technical achievement! Too bad the feeling in eco class doesn’t let passengers feel in what wonder they are flying. The shape of the body makes it less aerial for eco passengers, than other planes.
Airbus test flew the A380 at midnight the night before its maiden flight, it came over our house in France and almost scared me to death.

Layla Sweetman To the best of my knowledge, once the aircraft assumes a positive rate of climb, and the Pilot Monitoring calls out "Positive Rate", the Pilot Flying may call "Gear Up" for the landing gear to be retracted, but I gather it's not the highest priority. The first priority is to get the aircraft stabilized, and following whatever Missed Approach Procedure is required at the particular airport. On quite a few of the go-arounds I've seen on CZcams, the crew did not seem in a particular hurry to get the gear up.

Wow, the landing gear can take a diagonal hit to them. The B52 can line their landing gear up with the runway while the plane is faces into the wind. Surprised they didnt do something like that for this huge thing. I guess building the gear stronger rather than add a crabbing system was lighter?? Man........
