I missed flights before being searched down in such places like Frankfurt and they take no responsibility after they make you miss your flight. U yell at them after and they look at u as if to say so what, U are just a african that could be doing illegal. That type of dismissive rude attitude that I hate the most. In 1982 I stayed at the Jolly Hotel downtown Rome, the hotel served me a beautiful continental breakfast and I pitched a fit in the dining room because it was a croissant, coffee and fruit, the staff was so nice to me and tolerant of my ignorant behavior, the staff took the time to graciously explain to me what continental breakfast is, it gets better while I was at the hotel it was the first time I ever saw a minibar, I drank the liquor, beer, soda,I ate the snacks. Upon checkout the hotel charged me for the minibar and I pitched a fit at the front desk, they kindly explained to me about the minibar, the people in Italy were nice to me in Rome,Livorno,Pisa,Florence and Naples. I'm sorry about the difficulties you experienced at Leonardo da Vinci airport. It sounds like the security personnel caused you to miss your flight, and then you had to purchase a new ticket at a higher price. That must have been frustrating and inconvenient for you.
Unfortunately, situations like these can happen when travelling, and it's essential to remain calm and respectful to the people you're interacting with. It can be challenging, but showing frustration and anger can worsen the situation.
As an ex-airline agent, I understand the challenges and frustrations travellers may experience. Therefore, I request a live educational session to discuss and explain the nuances we can avoid for future travels.

I have a company in Naples, I travel through Italy, and I give thanks that these things have never happened to me while traveling. I suggest you really make a vlog with Michael Ponte to raise the issue while traveling through Italy. Because there are many more victims like you who lack a voice. You have seen what happened to Wode Maya in Uganda. He was recently invited by the government, which expressed its concerns and demanded to be excused. So the more people talk about issues like this, the sooner we will see changes. Another thing Africans, men and women, will gain the respect they deserve when Africa unites and controls its own rich soil. Peace be with you, brother.

Basta cosi

When in Rome, do like romans do.
NEVER GO CHAT the customs & declaretions guys. Doesn't matter if you are black, as italian i've learnt the hard way to just avoid them. Walk through, don't look at them. If they stop you, answer as shortly as concisely as possible. If you went through some border-line tax heaven countries, get ready for questioning.
Never show attitude. Know what you can have on you: less than 10k euros worth in assets and cash. Including laptops, gopros, ANYTHING. and that's across europe, so if you have more declare it when leaving the origin country and show the declaration. You should know this if you travel.
Never show attitude. You clearly did, probably you said it's because I am black and all.
When you buy a ticket it is on you to make sure the luggage is included or not. Anyone who ever took an internal flight (Ryanair, EasyJet, etc) knows that. Again, it is on YOU, not them.
Surprise surprise: I got stopped like you did many times. I am white. The difference between me and you? I know my way around, i know how dismissive and terrible they are, and I make it easy for myself.
You clearly identified the main reason why italians are emigrating so much. The Racisms part? your interpretation.

I requested to be moved inside to get away from their bad vibes and to avoid any confrontation. We were the only blacks at the restaurant. And another time, when i was in line at the colosseum, this white mother and daughter was in front of me (they were from south usa can tell by the country accent) mother kept looking back at me, looked me up and down, from my shoes to head and shielding her daughter from me even tho i was far from them lmao.
