Dollar Tree actually sells ALL the jewelry pliers for making jewelry in the craft section. I have the entire set from them and they work really well. They also have the spring in them to help with handling and creating. They do sell the earrings, necklaces, bracelets making kits in multiple color metals at Dollar Tree as well. Rubbing Alcohol will remove super glue and paint from your skin. I hope this helps.
Yaaas, I laaahve these types of Matt videos!!! 🔥🔥 I use nail polish on beads a lot. Toothpicks are my bestie for fine detail painting (brush & a holder) and gluing (especially nasty superglue & E6000). Also, my Dollar Tree has jewelry pliers (I got a backup pair of round nose) and earring/ jewelry findings. However, I would avoid the findings since they'll probably rust/tarnish quickly (plus metal allergies). And usually nail polish remover will dissolve super glue on your skin.
I just found your channel..not only do I love your style. I LOVE your messages of positivity and encouragement, BRAVO!! I will definitely share this channel 👏 from one artist to another 😊
Thank you! Matt. I always share your videos with my young nieces & nephews who love art. 🥰 They make jewelry to give children in Dominican Republic mission trips they go on.
This is awesome & just what I needed today! And now I want some of those wooden pink beads the Dollar Tree has & some sparkly red polish! I'm gonna paint hearts on ALLLLL the pink beads!!!
I love your channel because it gets me thinking more creatively. I watch more technical videos too, but I love how you think outside the box. You just inspired me to make something out of some miniature colored tiles I've had sitting around for ages.
LOVE IT!!!! Thank you for sharing!!! INSPIRATION!!! Right now I'm working on my side hustle as a jewelry designer. I make statement earrings. I live around the corner of a Dollar General and a Beauty Supply Store. My Sister and Law work for Dollar Tree 🌳. Time to get MORE CREATIVE!!! Keep up the good work and have a wonderful day and stay CREATIVE 😊 Robin N.Otis-Clayborne
Love your philosophy on art! So glad you are speaking out on it! Have just stared to follow you. Watched a playback on your sales from last Friday! Will try to catch your next live! Keep up the good work!
I love when friends of mine come to see me and tell me how many people loved their jewelry - all because my friend was a walking billboard by sporting something I created!
Just found you on here. I have the wooden shapes like the butterflies to use for scrapbooking. Thanks for showing me another use! Cool video with great ideas! 👍 and subscribed!
Hi, love your ideas💡, thank you for sharing 💞 small itty bitty piece of fabric around your jewelry pliers and you won't scar up whatever you're working on 💐
You must be a mind reader Matt, lol. I've made Dollar Tree jewelry for years. I take the glass pebbles in the floral section and paint them, then wrap them with the hardware gunmetal colored wire, link them, and make bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. Great tips Matt, and the jewelry really came out like stuff you could sell for decent money 👍 😀🎉❤ Thanks!!!!!!
@cintiapollock2486 Hi Cintia! I make ear wires myself. Out of 20 or 22 gauge wire, then I harden them by hammering. And I file and round ends going through ear. Hope that helps
@dreamweavingbydiane5771 Yes, Diane, he is wonderful to capture our imagination too. BTW, I was just joking with you today, teasing you, trying to make you laugh. 😜 . Well, I'm always here for you if you wanna talk, or vent 🙂
Been making funky jewelry & off-the-wall sun catchers out of $1 store stuff, resale stuff & hardware bits for around 30 years...catering to a niche customer base, for sure! But, BOHO is back, so wonky stuff is selling better, lately. Btw...you can use a hand held can opener to open those tougher clear plastic packages.
Ok - no brush and no paperclip to use as one - find a couple of cotton buds :D They work really well too :D Ive been making my own earring hooks out of the same wire /and same colour too, and gosh since I was 13 I was making earrings with paper clips and my earring hooks were paperclips. That is probably why I can no longer wear earrings althe time unless they are at minimum 18k gold or 925 silver - On my paperclip earrings - it was '86 so big bright colourful stuff was in. Ok my favourite pair of earrings was the ones with the glass tiles, then the Paperclips in second, the butterflies in third and hearts last. I too despise that glue - I use E6000 now or another very similar to it. I always thoroughly enjoy your tutorials as they give so many ideas on what I can do with objects and things I know Ive seen places that are cheap or free that I can use to be creative with - and the best bits are the ones Ive saved for 'that will be handy one day' and my mother has rolled her eyes at me or someone else with a 'oh god you are so like your grandmother' hehe see, it came in handy, i didnt have to go buy it, now its useful, and I can get another group of stuff ready to photograph and put up for sale.
The use of the tip of a pencil, tooth pick, or stylus stencils will make better dots using nail polish. These are just some of the things & hacks that nail technician uses.
I'm currently your Newest Subscriber, but I really don't think that will last long! This is the 1st video of Your's that I've watched & I ALREADY LOVE IT!!! ~🙏💙🙏Much Graditude From The Carolinas🙏💙🙏~
I opened my first craft bead container and dropped 3 beads out was difficult but I can do. Love the diamond shaped beads. I want butterfly ones we don't have 😢. Tyty for your videos .
I am truly inspired, and the one technique I probably will try is the one you use with those mosaic tiles, I love that. I think you could do some lovely rings with that. And just to prove I watched this video, I would have chosen the Reese’s (I also appreciate your little air fryer tip). Also, you must have a bottle of acetone to help remove the super glue. And I highly recommend you go down the rabbit hole of watching water marble nail art videos, I think you will be inspired. Essentially you drop different colour drops of nail polish onto the surface of a bowl of water, you could incorporate this technique for coating wooden beads.
The Dollar Tree stores in Baltimore City & Baltimore County look like a tornado went through them. Matt, your area seems to do a nice job of keeping the store neatly displayed.
This is great! I end up buying more craft stuff from the thrift and dollar stores than the craft stores, but I never thought of using the brightly colored paperclips. I wonder if putting thin cloth or a paper towel between them and the pliers would keep the coating intact? Matt, I'd love to see your take on creating displays for a craft fair!
I never thought paper clips could be used. The wood butterflies are fun if painted with dollar store paint. I also have never even thought about making post earrings.
I love the tiny heart earring back idea! I recently, quite foolishly, squeezed a tube of E6000... all over my kitten. My poor kitty! She's totally fine now and the hair we had to shave off has since grown back... be careful! Lol
My doallartrees are now carrying earing and bracelet findings and the different jewelry making pliers that you were using. So keep an eye out for them coming to your stores
It's always a trip into the unknown with you, love it, Yes supaglue sucks, the gel is great, and here in Australia we now have it in a bottle with a brush like nail polish, which is much more precise.
I'm a new sub, glad I found your channel. Grab a piece Styrofoam and some toothpicks, stick the toothpick in the Styrofoam for easier drying, also the beads don't spin on a toothpick. Love your art, keep doing you 👍
I think the wire colors in a bomb have to do something with electric codes. My husband is an electrician I thought the easiest way to make jump rings is to spiral the wire around the pliers then cut it at the overlap. Can do a bunch the same size at once
Basic Pliers - amzn.to/48dZeX7
Earring Hooks - amzn.to/4aNWvFm

These are really great prices!

Knocked it out of the park! Great creative and cost effective project ideas.
Love your jewelry-making style and your fun videos! Happy New Year, my friend. 😀

You are the only guru for jewelry for me. Always have been. Always will be. Me and mine with the least expensive or scavenged and upcycled parts.
Use nail polish removal to get unstuck from super glue. Keep up the good work!!!
It works about 50% for me. That stuff sticks on for a day no matter what I do
MATT yu you're AWESOME 👍 AND I'M NOT KIDDING YOU'RE SUPER AWESOME 👍👍

My favorite is the butterfly 🦋 although I would have added them to the first one in the middle. But that's what is so exciting about this! Thanks 👍
me too! would have been super cute!!
Matt Yu you're too AWESOME BRO I LOVE YOU'RE JEWELRY 👍👍❤️ Awesome idea with the paper tray Matt 👍🤣

Carly where do you get your earring wires for dangly earrings?
Matt is so creative, he is the one that got me started on this stone journey.

I'm always in DT for cool stuff! You gave me more ideas!
Love the paper clip idea. I already have a ton of different colored ones and had never thought about twisting them up and using beads.
I loved the funky butterfly's the bestest! oh yea!
Right up my alley! Subscribed 🎉
those earrings are great!!! I'm torn between the gray and silver and the butterflies as my favorite! I think the butterflies. See you next time!

On a side note... those colored paperclips also make excellent miniature straws for mini drinks ha ha

Hey MATT i got 6mm beads for Christmas and ive done made a Necklace and I also got some i think they're 2mm or 4mm beads too for Christmas MATT 👍
Yes, valentines day, coming!❤
Acetone on a cotton bowl or a Q-tip and it’ll rub off the glue
Heading to the buck twenty-five store soon
I know, right???
Still love your videos!!!😊
Brilliant!

No way!
Thank You MATT for the info at tge dollar Store much appreciated 👍😃 Thanks alot MATT 👍😃
It would be cool to see you do this from a thrift store too.
The things I make I like to say they are perfectly imperfect.
Love, love, love!

❤❤ The nail polish is the best hack. I'm gonna push my tryer more.😊
I ROck dollar Tree! Slept on the Clips..Thanks for the DABADEE DABS!❤
Use nylon jaw pliers on the coated paperclip or dip your tools. Or use finger pro tape on them. Keeps from scratching the wire. You are so creative!
OHMYGOSH. I just found this channel and yay. : ) .... and don't forget the 2nd grade painted macaroni bead necklaces.
add nail polish drops to a cup of water and swirl it around with toothpick then with your beads on their little paper clip stands.
Have to try that
Fun and Economic Stuff!
And ...the essential hersey bar😂
Swirly metal bits are cute on earrings but wear your hair up if you don't wanna spend a century untangling them from your hair.😄
Mat you could use a toothpick too
but it still looks good MATT 👍 I love how it look Matt with the plastic messed up a little it looks like it was made that way 👍🤣
Very nice.
Put that candy back Matt lol
What did you make with the candy bar ? 😊
Matt, Harbor Freight has small pliers for $1.99 each which would make perfect beginner jewelry making sets
Yup, have used those. Just make sure not to get the ones with the teeth
Nail polish! I should be watching these in order, ha ha.
Very creative ❤ that super glue gave you a hard time Sir 😂
It is my family's ancient enemy
Cool
I saw a tutorial where she used resin to glue her stuff together..and our dollar tree carries that too
They have them now
I'm a new sub, glad I found your channel. Grab a piece Styrofoam and some toothpicks, stick the toothpick in the Styrofoam for easier drying, also the beads don't spin on a toothpick. Love your art, keep doing you 👍
Best art/jewelry mentor in the world! You rock Matt!! Thank you so much for sharing all your tips and ideas!!! And your positive encouragement ❤😊
the song made me laugh.
Ruben's songs crack me up sometimes
I think the wire colors in a bomb have to do something with electric codes. My husband is an electrician
I thought the easiest way to make jump rings is to spiral the wire around the pliers then cut it at the overlap. Can do a bunch the same size at once
The pliers are tapered so they'd never be the same size.
You could wrap them around a small wooden or metal dowel and that would work
I think i used Phillips head screw drivers to make my jump rings
When I saw you grab those seeds beads I'm like "Oh no, not the horrible packaging." Honestly they need to stop doing that packaging.
It's the criminal underworld that does it
Let the glue dry on your fingers then use a nail file to file it off your fingers.
Good tip!
