Hey dude Just want to say I like your videos. It's about time. Someone put up what a garbage man does or R basically roll. If you need help with anything or any advice, I drove roll off for 30 years. I love It just shoot me a line. Keep up the good video and enjoy. Stay safe and keep up all the good work, buddy.
Love these day in a life videos. Great hassle too! As for the cordless impact, I’m with you…can’t beat the pneumatics with class 7 and 8 trucks, especially with 10 stud/lug wheels.
Superb Dave, excellent content. This is what makes YT so watchable. It is the mundane stuff. What we get from it is....what you do is a very demanding and difficult job. It is very interesting and educational to see what is involved. Your new pad looks brilliant!!
Since you love Stewart’s so much you have to get the meatball sub. I too am in upstate ny (Adirondacks) Stewart’s is definitely my go to in the am, great videos btw. Keep up the great job.
Hey Dave get yourself a good set of Milwaukee cordless power tools, they offer a 5-year warranty plus they have a charger that can charge up to six batteries. It's a very nice unit , make sure you get the Milwaukee batteries. Do not, I repeat. Do not buy aftermarket batteries. Make sure you buy the good lithium ion batteries for your power tools....
Those roll off trucks always seem like they have a lot more manual work involved in comparison to the hook lifts we see over this side of the pond. Also interesting you can still 'Scrap' a fridge/freezer over there. Here they are now considered hazardous waste and scrap yards won't take them. You have to pay to have them sent to a recycling facility to be degassed.
Yea there definitely more work involved with the roll off trucks, if I fill a 30y with refrigerator and a/c units plus stoves I get around $400 in scrap
Guy in my town that makes dumpsters by cutting down shipping containers--adds some bracing and supports and sells them MUCH cheaper than regular dumpsters !!
Hey Dave, loving your vids lately! A little side note: I think you are using your drone in "D-Cinelike" or some other flat color profile. The footage looks a bit dull, hazy and a lot less vibrant than the Gopro footage, or whatever main camera you are using. You should play around with the settings and set it to standard and also you could add a just tiny little bit of contrast and saturation to match both cameras better. Once you figured it out you can save a preset and just apply it on all the drone footage. Won't take a lot of extra time that way. Cheers
Do you think an Isuzu NPR or similar with a hook lift and 12-15yd dumpsters on a single axle class 4 cab over truck would be a good truck to start into dumpsters with? I see you have a similar cab over single axle in the background of this or one of your other videos. I got out of junk removal a while back, but this is inspiring to get back into it but with dumpsters.
Would you ever get a pickup truck style roll off (F550, Ram 5500 etc) for those smaller dumpsters? I don't know if it might be cheaper in the long run vs a full size rig and would be easier in more rural, tight areas.
You ever dump at a landfill? Around my area the landfill is roughly 35 miles away so 99% of the time the trucks go straight to landfill to dump. We do have a small transfer station, but mostly that is used by the general public to dump so they dont have to drive to the landfill.
Life of a bin truck f*cked tires and more f*cked tires, you are lucky you dump mostly at a transfer station I was in the local landfill up to twice a day 5 days a week. I used to contract haul for Waste Management when they needed it so I was in their yard good place to get a nail in the tire. Nice you have a bigger yard it will make a big difference/improvement more room to work.
How much does your insurance run thinking of getting me a older truck in good condition. I could get a swap loader but missing out on lots of 30s right now running 15s and 20s
someone I know who has a company with trucks that work with sandblasting. He had an accident in a truck on the highway, and hit a bridge pillar because a front tire on the truck blew. he will never work again.
Dave is the exact definition of a hard working man. The world needs more hard working men I can tell you that. Also I am not a big fan of american cars, but god damn they trucks are something else ... very very sexy.

Great video, you're a quiet Achiever👊
Is that a "Peterbuilt" truck?
Nice refrigerant release. I'm sure that makes the EPA happy.
The crazy part is, in the scrap yards that how they drain every A/C unit

That’s cool, I’m surprised it’s cheaper.
I felt that “it’s always something” 😂

I would buy a tandem right off the bat. That way your not limited

I think I’m going to sell the Mack and buy a single axle Roll off truck, probably a international with 22’ rails
Nice to be in an area that still has some acreage for sale. The planet ain't making anymore land so it seems we got to go further and further out.
Dave Cool Video

Maybe need to put a dumpster on a mound of dirt so it can be seen from Highway & paint you Co logo & details on it 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I actually was thinking the same thing.

I’ve never dump at a landfill
living the dream ,
Great video. How did you get into the business?
8 years ago I bought a 1987 Mack and a 40y dumpster, I was using it for my general contracting business, people were asking if they could rent it.

Tires suck, they take all of your money

About $3500 per truck plus liability insurance
MORE of this type of content will grow your channel.
I can definitely put more of this type up
Down side is it will bring the Arm Chair Experts in that have no idea what there talking about.
with those fronts you put on you'll be able to make another video in 3 months@@Dumpster_Dave
I need to know more about that red FJ.
My dad sold it for $2500
@@Dumpster_Dave 😩😩😩😩
Can you use a broyhill lpad n pack?
I’ve thought about buying an iPad for the truck
did you sell the 335 Pete
Suprised u don’t separate the ac units and save the copper cords
I can say this,if i ever built another truck,it would be a tandem, automatic.I bought what I could afford, but auto is nice.
It’s nice but seems to shift a lot up and down on back roads
Which transfer stations are you using in upstate NY
Catskill
you work smarter not to much harder than you need to
Come on Donald Proof read!!!
More of this
I can put a couple more of these videos up
Is sorting thru a load mandatory at the dump site?
No but they charge a lot of money for the extras
Thanks for giving me a glimpse and a ride.
Thanks for watching
you should get better tires on that truck.
Yeah I would like to but there very expensive, my rear tires are 315’s they run around $450 a piece.

Thanks, I’ve been working hard sense I was 12 years old. I should be rich by now lol.
11:08 IS THIS IN CHINA, OR IS IT OKAY TO VENT FREON INTO THE ATMOSPHERE IN YOUR CITY....... BECAUSE.......?
That doesn’t usually happen, I’m sure in China they are cool with it.
Hilarious They don't want AC Units because of the Freon then they dump the Freon out when they load it back on your truck
Lol
They do the same thing at my local dump 😂
you wouldn't have this problem if you bought a Mack...
Lol I have a Mack
@@Dumpster_Dave and you didn’t have to fix the Mack haha
I hope you sort that scrap your loosing free money scraping it all at steel prices
I do
what're you up to for dumpsters/ trucks. good luck with everything
I have 3 trucks and a little over 80 dumpsters
