Kaylee Rowlett , I’m here getting ideas for next year. I have always had everything done by July 4th. I hate fall back to school shopping. Most people aren’t happy to be shopping and let everyone know too. So we skip that.

@@user-lu2rx9nw3s I'm about to be in 9th grade and in 6th grade my teacher told me "I got all the wrong supplies" and that "I only needed 1 folder thing" i had 8 folders 2 binders and more stuff and i used my own money and my teacher told me to stop crying because i was being childish and that I could use it the next year so I had to go and waste 20 extra dollars on that "1 school supply"

Sugar Kitty because the erasers are done in two days and they break every five minutes but ppl like to use them so after five days at the most u need a new one (only mechanical pencil users would know)
Sugar Kitty this is why i spend more money on lead pencils than notebooks because for some reason wat reason within a week half of them are gone.

It’s funny how even after 39 years after high school I gravitate to the school supplies at back-to-school time. It was always fun to start fresh each school year. I loved, loved, loved school!

Don‘t teachers allow you to write with pens in the US? In Germany literally not a single person writes with pencils. 🤷🏼♀️🤔
Pia i mean, it depends on the teacher. It’s standard practice for it to be heavily discouraged for math class (because you could make mistakes). I’m surprised Katie said some teachers don’t allow it, at least in my high school most teachers legit don’t care which. In fact, some teachers REQUIRE pens for short answer/essay tests.
I started 12th grade last week and it's really fun but also really stressful. I hope everyone has an amazing school year!

Emily Mae I’ve noticed that too and I think that’s part of why Ryan likes hanging with his older brother more then his sister which I don’t blame him. It could also be because Katie is a teenage hormonal girl now with mood swings and attitude (which as a girl myself I am very guilty of😂). I’m not making any excuses for Katie but as a girl myself I understand as well cause I get in those easily annoyed moods or I’m very mean which I don’t mean to be it’s just part of a girls life when it’s the time of month or when that time is coming.

I just finished college (together with high school it's like 9 years of school to shop for) and the last 4 years I only bought like 4 notebooks, because almost everything is on the computer and pens are found everywhere around the school xD

I’m going into 11th grade too and they give us iPads at out school and it’s $40 for optional endurance then you get a cheap pack of pencils a folder or two and a couple cheap notebooks and youre set for the year so I’m sure my parents don’t miss the days of spending bucket loads on school supplies😂😂

My school starting in 6th grade did not give a supply list. For the first day you bring paper and pencils then each teacher gives you their list of what you get and you get that . Same with high school. So you like guess what you will need then go back to the store if you forgot anything that the teachers added on their list.
(Edit) idk if this is just my school district but we get our own planners. Like they have our school name on it and you have your name in it at the beginning of the year for free. You get it k-12.

The backpack Ryan tried on 😂 at my school, it’s actually trendy for seniors to use children’s backpacks (last year finding Nemo and spongebob backpacks were all the rage) but I can’t because I’m actually taking academic classes and they won’t fit all the things I need in them :(
We where not aloud to use pencils after 5th grade in most of our classes we had to write with a fountain pen !
If your machanical pencils run out then just go and buy the mechanical pencil re-fill lead. There is no need to buy more mechanical pencils.
I wish they had erasable colour pencils when I was at school. I look art as a GCSE and there were times when I made mistakes and wished erasable coloured pencils existed.

Wow they buy a lot of stuff. I reuse from the year before. The only things I got where a good planner, pens, binder dividers and a locker shelf.

Why on earth do you need so many mechanical pencils (or pens, pens last a pretty long time)? Are single-use mechanical pencils a thing? I had one mechanical pencil through all of high school, in addition to a few pens, and used refill lead whenever needed. Seems like a massive waste of plastic.
