I used to watch this every Saturday night with my much loved Grandma. I would’ve been 14 when this episode aired. My Grandma passed in 1992 and I miss her kindness, warmth and wisdom and humour every day. This has been such a warm reminder of those times when I *thought* my life was complicated, deary me! Yes bring back Come Dancing, Opportunity Knocks and New Faces to replace Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and The Voice Who csres if people think those shows were so 1950's to 1980's. They weren't boring.

My word that was a blast from the past. What a contrast to Strictly. I must say both are worth looking at but the modern show is better and more engaging due to far superior camera work, warmer interaction with the people involved and better choreography. Some of the older show was a bit dull and starchy still it had its moments of fantastic dancing that would have got scores of 40 in Strictly.
This always seemed to be on late at night when I was a kid; if Come Dancing came on it was past bedtime! My mother loved to dance in her younger days in the 40s and 50s, and loved to watch this show. I always enjoyed the Latin American section, for some reason! Shame this seems to be the only bit of the original Come Dancing online, the feed is just full of Strictly rubbish.
I used to love this program. Those beautiful costumes was so inspiring to me and the dancers were so talented weren't they 😊
