Skrill fun fact: While Night Furies are said to be the fastest dragons, that title would actually belong to the skrill.
Skrills have been known to ride lightning bolts during electrical storms, able to dissappear in the blink of an eye, faster than any other dragon. Skrills are able to travel extreme distances in only a blink due to this ability.
Actually, the title of fastest dragon is the deadly Nader. As seen in dragons riders of berk, S1 E10, Astrid was feeding chicken to storm-fly making storm-fly faster.
@@jedmorris8458 It made her faster, yes, but still not faster than toothless's top speed. And also not as fast as the almost teleportation-like speed of a skrill riding lightning.
So no, it would not be the Deadly Nadder. While Stormfly did get faster by consuming chicken, she still wasn't as fast as a night fury, the the skrill, as stated before being able to almost teleport via riding lightning, is much faster than even the fastest night fury.
@@Dinologan1015 alright that is true, however, lightning is attracted to metal and water. Hence the fact why storms start over water. So if the Skrill is teleporting over water using lightning wouldn't the Skrill be slower? In fact wouldn't a speed stinger be faster than a Skrill; since, speed stingers run on the water.
Fun fact about nightfuries: They have a special ability where they can conduct lightning and once the lightning coats their body they can blast it and disappear for about 6 minutes but this uses up a lot of their power/energy

Night Furies can use echo location. Toothless did it in a episode once. I cannot remember if it was an episode from Dragons Riders of Berk, or Dragons Defenders of Berk.
He uses it many times in both shows
I remember that episode, it was in dragons riders of berk S1 E19, the cave entrance had closed behind them and toothless found another way out of Bork’s “fake” cave that mildew set up to catch hiccup and toothless with the help from the outcasts.

Fun Fact: monstrous nightmares can light themselves on fire with a special gel that coats their entire body the gel is great for some explosives for defence or offence during a battle.
Fun fact pt2: singetail dragons don’t like high altitude even with 4 wings they get out of breath and head back down to a lower altitude.

fun fact about zipplebacks they can bite there own tails then coat themselves in there own gas before lighting it on fire and rolling around becoming a flaming wheel also one about deadly nadders if a rider presses a certain spot at the back of there neck instead of firing all there spins on there tail they will only fire one

Fun Fact: There is actually a dragon that can move as fast as a night fury or skrill even though it can't fly. That is the Speed Stinger of course. At their top speeds the can easily catch any flying dragon (minus Night Furies)
Here are some fun facts about my personal favorite dragon, the Whispering Death.
• These serpentine dragons have six rows of rotating teeth, able to destroy earth and roots like they're not there, although metal, and especially cast iron, are too strong for them.
• Their fire attack is an expanding ring of fire, and they actually rotate their teeth when firing
• They can fire spines from any part of their body
• They're incredibly agile, and can dodge attacks easily due to their body shape
• They have poor eyesight, even for a dragon, and are sensitive to light
• They are extremely difficult to train, as they tend to be rather aggressive. Capturing one and bonding with it, raising it from an egg, and saving the life of it or its family are the ways to do so
• They are one of the few dragons that can actually hold its own, and even win, against a nightfury
You should do Pokémon how to catch them and battle with them

Once a dragon is tamed it will show emotion and protection whenever they are not around their trainer.

they made a series on it a few years ago but the lightning dragon wasnt added at the time
The gronckle is known to fall asleep mid-flight! But don’t worry you won’t fall off it will just hover in place until you give it a quick tap to wake it up and continue your flight!

#part2 , fun fact, this is regarding the deadly nadders, nadders are so precise they can, with their tail spikes, hit a mosquito on a yak tail from over 100 yards away.

fun facts about night fury’s they can regurgitate fish they have retractable teeth there fire proof there very smart and goofy they can sleep on the ground or upside down in a tree like a bat they breathe blue fire and there very fast
As much as this info is all true the retractable teeth are passed down from one alpha night fury to the alpha night fury’s offspring.
