This is from the old days of the show. Since the show was syndicated the questions have become much more difficult. So difficult in fact there hasn't been a winner in years. Usually theres only one person who even sees the $1 Million question each year. What Regis would consider a $1,000,000 question, the show would consider a $100,000 today.

Of course, when Lyn Payne had her audience Lifeline at the million dollar question, they got it wrong, and she walked.
Well because the syndicated version has very little money they had to make it harder so they didn't go broke.

The first 13 questions were elementary school questions, ...in Peru the program had way harder questions

Either this game is too easy in America, or the American people are just very intelegent. In Britain the questions are so much harder, why aren't they so hard in the US?
in the usa they have to say FINAL ANSWER??? im from austria...in austria it´s called "wer wird millionär?"...that means Who becomes a millionaire?
Do they have to say: "Final answer." every question again? I don't know this from the German version.
