You know, call me an idiot, but seeing people be so humble and so awesome, and then seeing them win some money and hearing what they plan with it, it makes me gain faith in humanity and smile.
Me too. I'm glad he won. He looked like a really nice old man, and it was really sweet the way he said he was giving it all to his mother and sisters. You rock Kevin! :)
By all honestly, I thought he looked a little odd at first sight but now that I heard him speak he is very humble and an all around good person. You learn not to judge a book by its cover. Cheers to you Kevin. May your dad rest in peace, sir.
I remember seeing this show, and I thought Kevin was so wonderful as a contestant. Like other viewers who saw this moment, I, too was thrilled that he won the million. I hope the money came in handy for him and his family. It was revealed that his father had passed away sometime ago, but it's for sure that his father witnessed it all from the other side and was beaming from ear to ear. Congratulations, Kevin!! -Matt
Good for him, you can speculate the difficulty of the questions all you want, but this is the type of person that deserves to win 1 millions. Grats to him and his family.
That "Asian Gentleman" he mentioned was Stan Wu from Yale University, who was a $0 winner on a previous episode of Millionaire. Poor Stan...he came back on the "$0 winners episode" but didn't even get in the hotseat :(
wikipedia: syndication is the sale of the right to broadcast radio shows and television shows to multiple individual stations, without going through a broadcast network. It is common in countries where television is scheduled by networks with local affiliates, particularly in the United States. In the rest of the world, however, most countries have centralized networks without local affiliates and syndication is less common, although shows can also be syndicated internationally.
syndicated means a non-prime time rerun or different version of a show... in this case a different version The questions on Meredith's Millionaire were much harder from 32,000 on, making it much harder to win the million. This guy aced it, and is pretty much the best Millionaire contestant ever.
it basically means that no network runs it like deal or no deal is by NBC. basically it is done independent of a network, and local stations run it, so like in one area an ABC network may run it, where in another NBC and CBS might
not really, lots of people did it just as fast if not faster. Kevin Olmstead, Nancy Christy, Dan Blonsky, John Carpenter, and Bob House just to name a few.
@LiGhTwOlF1308 just because you know the history of America, doesn't necessarily mean that you'll know these details.. It's only easy because you were exposed to this historical knowledge and were fortunate enough to remember the answer.
@Mikealike92 Trivia games are based on a wide area of knowledge with very little depth. Most high paying jobs are in a small area of knowledge with a lot of depth, thats why I think housewives and things do so well on game shows.
lolz!!! thats so awesome in so many different levels...at least to me cuz you could've come at me with some stupid reply but what you wrote was pretty amusing. its like me saying "hey, im writing this response to complement you in your cleaver reply" instead of typing that paragraph on the top. cool come back, you got my respect. lol
Syndicated millionaire aired during the daytime instead of at night (Primetime, largest audience) and as such had a tiny budget. The questions were harder, though I believe Kevin got easier grade questions as he was a leftover from the 10th Anniversary specials so that's what he was locked in for.
I dont know why, but he's just one of those guys i'm even more happy for... he's just sympathic

what is the difference between syndicated millionaire and the normal one?
Syndicated millionaire aired during the daytime instead of at night (Primetime, largest audience) and as such had a tiny budget. The questions were harder, though I believe Kevin got easier grade questions as he was a leftover from the 10th Anniversary specials so that's what he was locked in for.
Actually that was some easy question. If you know the history of america and stuff.
I bet he's Einstein's grand child
