I miss when I was twenty with my friends in the dorm on Christmas morn.
I miss the first few years when my husband and I were starting our life together on our first Christmas morn as husband and wife.
I miss my little ones around the tree, at five am and as excited as can be on Christmas morn.
I miss my grandchildren's laughter ring out on Christmas morn as they have grown and gone.
It is in these rooms my memories come to life and I am thankful for such a wonderful life. Every year on Christmas morn I remember how blessed I truly am and true happiness fills me again.

Thank you Ruby for reminding me of all the wonderful things that comes with Christmas. This is the first Christmas I've spend in 30 years without my husband. How he loved this season of the year! So I've been sitting hear, a little lonely and blue thinking about all the good times we had when I came upon this station. I'm so grateful to be reminded of all the good things and memories that this time entails.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. It has been 9 yrs for me on December 17th. I am glad my note helped in some way, my husband said to me before he passed that he wished for the rest of my life peace and happiness, for that is what I gave him all these years.
When I see him again I want to be able to say your love helped me to be strong and I have found peace. Happiness is still a hit or miss, but then that's how it should be.
Aren't we lucky to have a love that makes a difference everyday of our lives. May your heart in time smile again when you remember. Blessings and in my thoughts and thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.

Surprise side-effect of anorexia recovery: insomnia. No one warned me about that one. Your videos have helped me so much. I’m a grad student, and I love writing. Your videos are perfect for soothing me when I can’t sleep and for blanketing out noise when I’m busy writing and researching. Weirdly, I'm in the exact same situation of recovering from this disorder while being a grad student. I think it's a thing where perfectionism can help you succeed academically and enter grad school, but too much of it can be so harmful. Too much perfectionism can mean eating issues+fear of failure+avoidance of responsibility and important assignments, etc. It backfires big time.
It's been like a year since you commented, but essentially what I'm saying is you're not alone and I hope that you're doing ok/doing better (not that you always feel perfect! 😉)
