  • China is advancing in aircraft manufacturing with a recent focus on wide-body passenger aircraft, the C929. Hangzhou announced the completion of the "domestic wide-body passenger aircraft fuselage composite parts development and production project," elevating China's role in the global aviation industry. The C929, with a seating capacity of 280 and a range of 12,000 kilometers, is the answer to China's need for long-distance, intercontinental air travel. China aspires to create a full-process international advanced aviation composite material development and production line and ultimately mass produce wide-body passenger aircraft fuselage, with an annual output of 45 aircraft. This marks a significant milestone in the drive toward realizing the local aerospace industry's potential and turning Hangzhou into China’s ‘Seattle.'

I wish all success in the Chinese aviation industry. Chinese people are very intelligent and hard working. Chinese leaders are very sincere and dedicated to the development of the country under able guidance from President Xi Jinping.
Despite all sanctions and non cooperation from the USA, Chinese will definitely overcome and move forward through innovations.

We again have people complaining about Chinese made products. If China can lead in 37 out of 44 core technology, it means that China is now leading the world in technology. I didn't say that but a study by the Australian Strategy and Policy Institute did. People are so jealous and frustrated with China's achievements.

In China, the one who should be rich is the country not individuals like in the USA. In Asia where majority of the richer are entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs only concern themselves. Hence when Soros came, they flew away and left the countries with huge debts. This will not be happened if the country is rich just like Singapore and China.

Although all these major achievements are great (amazingly fast and effective constructions of infrastructures, high-speed rail, airports, space station, Chang'e lunar explorations, EVs, battery technology, AI leadership, aircraft carriers, C919/C929, shipbuilding, money-less payment systems, excellent treatments on the people in Xinjiang/Tibet, etc., etc.), however the most important aspect and characteristics of China is its peaceful nature in its global policies. The friendliness of its population toward visiting guests is another beauty of China. The tasty and affordable food variety also helps to make everyone to love China.
Okay I know, the western media will report just the opposite (or deliberately not to report on these achievements).

  • @josepht822

China should add another 1,000 to 1,500 km to her C929 range. For example China Southern is going to fly non-stop from Shenzhen to Mexico City come May 11, 2024 for a distance of 14,147 km for 16 hours non-stop and a return route of 21 hours 20 minutes with a stop for refueling but passenger to stay on board in Tijuana using Airbus 350.
    Considering C929 current proposed versions:-
    C929 - 600 - 280 pax at 12, 000 km
    C929- 500 - 260 pax at 14,000 km
    & C929 -700 - 300 pax at 10, 000 km
So even with the current proposed C929 - 500 China Southern Airline is still unable to fly from Shenzhen - Mexico City non-stop,

China will certainly do more research to make the bigger versions more fuel efficient by using composite materials and lighter metal alloys to build lighter body frames and more fuel efficient but powerful hi-bypass engines while increasing flight range up to 16,000 km. This is what China is doing now without making any PR and it is simply a matter of time for China before reaching that goal and close the technological gap with the US and the West.

Bro, China can produced a nuke bomb from scrap papers thrown by Russia. So this is so easy for them to do it. They can do reverse engineering from the existing planes they have. the problem is the USA cannot forbid every American to work with China. So as long as everyone has a price tag and China has big population, all good for China. Their invention can be sold to the world at cheap price like all South Asia countries do. China copies what Japan and South Korea do.
Remember China was one of the richest country in the world with massive technological inventions. East Asia people are known for their capability to copy and sophisticate their copy cats. For example Japan & South Korea.
