Umaga was Jacob Fatu before Jacob Fatu joined the business, the speed and agility he had for a man of his dimensions was mind blowing
I almost agree with that. Umaga was great but didn’t talk. That’s the key difference. Jacob Fatu is an excellent promo in addition to his athleticism.
Long sentence to say that Jacob Fatu is the "new" Eddie Fatu.
I would even say that Jacob is better than his uncle. It's almost a shame that Jacob chose to stay in MLW with a light schedule. I said "almost", because there is no shame at all to choose to stay close to his family instead of favoring his career.
His real name is Edward Smith Fatu, He never went by the name Jacob in any wrestling promotion
Umaga was underrated as hell, one of the most talented 'big man' wrestlers there's ever been
Saw him face Jeff Hardy for the IC title at a house show when I was a kid, still my favorite match I’ve seen live :) he was awesome, RIP Umaga ❤
Umaga One of The Greatest Big Men Ever
Yes, he was. I remember his matches with Jeff Hardy (Mainly One Night Stand) were fun as Hell.
Eh
Umanga
One of Jay Lethal's big moments in TNA was the "wooo!" off with Ric Flair.
I didn't even remember Umaga was in TNA 😳.
I see so much of Umaga in Solo Sikoa now.
RIP Umaga 🕊️🌹🙏🏼.
There is a good reason for that. Solo Sikoa is Umaga's nephew. Umaga was the brother of Rikishi (Solo's father).
@@stevegallo8483 There's that, but also how he is booked, and using the Samoan Spike.
Same person
I would argue Roode’s TNA run was far better than his WWE run. Sure he was great in NXT but since then he’s become forgetful. In TNA he was the guy for a long time
Being "Glorious" is one thing. But it's nothing on being "The It Factor".
Completely agree with you hell I do t think I seen roode in a while
@@luisvilla799 He's been injured and has been working as a producer behind the scenes. Even then, his WWE acolades are throw away tag teams and a US title that at the time meant nothing. In TNA he was part of THE tag team in TNA for years and a World Champion when they really seemed to want to run with the younger roster and home grown stars.
To be fair, the list is about reinventing themselves, not that they got better. Though, some of the entries are talked about as having more success.
@@timothygraham4304 Fair point. Roode's just seemed to be more about his success rather than reinventing due to his character, prett y much being the same
I remember seeing Umaga absolutely launch someone into the air before a Samoan drop & 6 year old me was terrified
I can see that while also finding it impressive AF 😅
I really thought Nick Aldis would be on this list too. He was nothing special as Magnus, but in the NWA he was the first champ to mean something for them in decades.
It's a list of 10, not a top 10 list. That's how they do it these days. Partly to prompt comments like yours for engagement, and partly so they can potentially make a "10 more..." list.
WASNT HE CHAMP AS MAGNUS TOO!!
@@THEREALLORDJ He was but it was a nothing reign.
@@bloodsimple94 THERES NO SUCH THING!!
@@THEREALLORDJ You're wrong, but at least you're confident with it.
Fun Fact: Archer & Hawkins (as The Gatecrashers) were undefeated on TV until they lost to The Dudebusters (Caylen Croft & Tren Baretta), who hadn't won a TV Match throughout 2010. Both teams dissolved shortly after, and Archer was released later on. Croft was also let go at the same time. As was Luke Gallows, if I remember right.
In fact, both Gallows and Archer were cut after they wrestled a match on Superstars in November.
Robert Roode is now retired but I'll never forgive Vince on how he treated Roode on the main roster 😢. Sure he had a US Title win and multiple tag title runs but he was one hell of a NXT World Champion and should've been a IC Champion and a WWE World Champion
Love seeing the Mil Muertes drop here…more Lucha Underground talk, please!
Talking about the brother of Abyss makes me think of the proposed 4th Face of Foley...."Son of Abyss".
I came here to say that Roode was wayyyy better in TNA than he was in WWE. I feel like his WWE run was kind of wasted.
Eli Drake was amazing in TNA and I was waiting so long for WWE to stop wasting him.
Umaga should go into the Hall of Fame. have Roman&Usos induct him in
Possibly have Solo accept in his honor, maybe? If we going Samoan at HoF Ceremony, might as well go 💯
Good to see someone giving positive opinions of Zelina 🙂
Feels nice, IMHO. Almost had me tearing up again when they showed her in Puerto Rico. It was such a big match for her and everyone in attendance was showing their love 💕
3:02 That was Rosey, the one that became a tag team with Hurricane.
Roman Reigns brother
I understand LA Knight is the big thing rn but AJ should be #1
2:57 , Here's the truth on Umaga. Edward Fatu had his first persona name spelled with a k not a c so it was Ekmo (Short development contract in 2001), He then debuted as apart of "3-Min Warning" under the name Jamal & Anoa'i was named Rosey, WWE (2001-2003). Then he went to TNA & used his Ekmo Fatu persona (Sept-10-03/Aug-11-04). Spent some time in 2005 in All Japan. Then he made his reintroduction to WWe in 2006 under the name Umaga. Leaving WWE in 2009 & spending his remaining time appearing on the independent circuit before his death later in that year (2009).
Eli Drake and Drew Galloway were in The Rising with Camacho
After TNA ditched the hexagon ring they went downhill that ring is what made them unique compared to WWE
I heard the 6 sided ring hurts more than the standard ring
Facts
Nick Aldis being left off this list is very strange.
If it was a top 10 list, I would agree.
It BLOWS MY MIND you did not do anything with Okada when you had him.
IMO, “Consequences Creed” is SUCH a harder name than “Xavier Woods”.
Austin Watson wrestles publicly(outside of WWE) as “Austin Creed”, but WWE should at least name him “Xavier Creed”, or even “Apollo Watson”. If he goes to AEW, it’d be too easy to give him a name like
“Apollo Ezequiel Watson”, so he can do a whole “I _AM_ AEW!” gimmick.
Austin Creed is better than Xavier Woods.
I feel like he’s a WWE lifer now
I think Adam was just butchering the “Green Hornet” reference on a news video the other day? 🤣😂
Consequences Creed was awesome. TNA Frontline baby
Styles was one of the only reasons I watched TNA.
Thank For the Top 10 Video 🙊🤯🥰😍😁💗💐🌟🥇🏆
6:43 i thought a mouse was in my room
good video
I remember Vance Archer back in svr 2011 game with a generic ass theme 😂😂
thanks!
Jay Lethal is the man.
Punk must top this list
Man I miss Umaga.
❤️
Why does no one mention umagas time as Jamal in 3 minute Warning? Lol
IT WAS MUST SEE TV AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN LONGER AND BETTER PLUS I WAS SAYING AT TIME (AND YEARS BEFORE) THEY SHOULD A BEEN A BLOODLINE WITH ROCK AND RIKISHI!!!
Another day another list
good video, but you have to remember that many wrestlers became known in TNA and went to WWE for the dirty money and now some of those wrestlers are no longer in that company, I'm sorry but you were missing some like: Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Sting, etc.
but many of them are mid-career We must also remember that many WWE wrestlers have gone to TNA and have reinvented themselves and have come out as main eventer and it turns out that now they are mid career as: Ron Killings(r-truth), Cristian Cage(cristian),etc
Greetings from Ecuador, a TNA fan
Rip Umaga one of the most underrated workers there ever was😢. I would one day love to see Xavier Woods Impact gimmick return one more time but for WWE.
I get the hype around LA Knight but AJ still should’ve been #1 the resume speaks for itself
Bobby roode in tna was wayyyyyyy better than WWE, NXT included, and you can ask cm puls on that shit brother
This is my birthday🎂🎉
Happy Birthday!
Funny Woods wouldn't be on this list if New Day wasn't created or if they split up, he floundered in TNA and he would WWE on his own😂
I’m Adam percheaty 😂 what a great surname.
I believe Roode has been let go from WWE. Could've heard it wrong though
He's still with WWE he's just not an active in-ring superstar anymore as like mentioned in the video after his neck surgery he retired from in-ring competition and went into a backstage role as a mentor and trainer at the Performance Center.
@@derrickhaggard you're right, i was confused because he had gotten removed from the active roster while all the recent firings were happening
AJ was already a legend before entering WWE at the rumble
Umaga is one of my favorites man! Miss him man he really gave Cena some of his best matches!! 💯
Jimmy Rave's most memorable stint was in India. It was a show called Ring Ka King 😂😂😂😂
Bobby Roodes TNA run was astronomically better than his WWE run
Bobby Roode tna run is better than his wwe run, he won the world title and held it for a while.
5:47 is that a Ricardo Milos from Temu?
Maybe im the only one but i honestly think Aj have better match in Tna the match with Daniels and Joe, Those few match against Kurt angle and Sting.
say you want but we need tna for the better
Beer Money is goated
did not know that’s who judus mesias became
The bad thing is these will get chance to hold wwe titles cause they guy like Roman don’t loose when he can’t even wrestle
All of these were “a lifetime ago “
I honestly hope WWE puts Umaga in the Hall of Fame next year.
why? Eddie Fatu never really had a HOF type career. whether he was known as Jamal from 3 Minute Warning or Umaga The Samoan Bulldozer he never really stood out
@@mattalan6618"Umaga never really stood out." Did you even WATCH any of his matches against Jeff Hardy, Lashley, John Cena and his reign as the Intercontinental Champion before typing that? He was one of the best big men wrestlers back in the RA era.
@@AutoArtemAuto meh. never took me by surprise
@@mattalan6618 Meh, I'm sorry you got sadly bored and missed out on some really good matches by a late, great big guy wrestler. Rest In Peace, Umaga
@@AutoArtemAuto i dont like watching big guys. even though im a big guy myself they just seem boring to me
Roode was presented way better in Tna
TNImpact 👍
Loved TNA From 2005-2010 After I Stopped Watching In 2014 I had a Lengthy run In with Bellator MMA continuing my MMA Incursion after UFC left Spike TV In 2011 and ended my run there In 2020 during the Pandemic
Have you checked out any ONE FC? Definitely doesn’t have the pomp of UFC but it’s pretty good and the Friday Night Fights on CZcams are pretty cool (& free)
If Only Dixie Carter Listened To The Fans And Her Employees Instead Of Hogan And Bischoff At The Time TNA Would've Been A Whole Different Place Back In 2010.
Aj Styles Prime Was In TNA
Luke Gallows
LA Knight was 100% right to refuse inter gender wrestling. It kept his brand strong in the long term.
It didn't hurt him that Tessa Blanchard turned out to be a Karen, either.
Bro you forgot to that Jada Messiahs is very successful in Mexico wtf man show us some love 😒😒😒
Bobby Roode had already reinvented himself in TNA, the WWE version was a poorly handled version of the IT Factor reinvention run imo.
RIP Jimmy Rave
Adam PacMan Jones
How is R Truth not on the list ...smh little Jimmy is sad 😢
I recognize the name Eli Drake but I never made the connection. Didn't realize he was that big of a deal for Impact
Aj should be number 1
Lance archer is the goat
2025 zelina Vega will be champion. She's got so much potential.
Bobby Roode had a better in TNA than in WWE in my opinion.
Rip jimmy rave
Sorry, Roode TNA run was/is way better than his WWE run.
I disagree with Bobby, he was a bigger star in TNA than in WWE
No Samoa Joe? No young bucks?
Hats off to la Knight for not accepting inter gender match..
What about Samoa Joe? I would of definitely put him in the top 10 who reinvented themselves once he left TNA.
TNA Bobby Roode >>>>>>>>>>>>> WWE Bobby Roode
And I woudn’t call LA Knight reinvented. Is the same gimmick as TNA Eli Drake but as a face and without the button calling people dummy
Umanga
Cody Rhodes
11:14 = Yes indeed folks in case you all are wondering, that is indeed the legendary Paul Bearer standing alongside the future LA Knight. The late great WWE Hall of Fame manager mentored Knight during The Megastar's days wrestling for the nwa-affiliated promition Wrestling from Hollywood. Knight would be the last wrestler that Paul Bearer would manage as Bearer would pass away a few years later but not before he set some material aside for Knight to inherit to help his career as Bearer predicted that Knight was destined to become a huge star and he was 110% right.
11:37 = I wouldn't call Global Force Wrestling's world title a 'major' title.
Anyone who thinks Bobby Roodes WWE run was better than his TNA run needs to put down the crackpipe... I never understood how these CZcams marks could bash TNA and then turn around and slow jerk AEW... AEW is nothing if not a less entertaining knockoff of TNA.
I'm so sick of the new day.
lol knight over styles 😂
I wanna know so bad how they come up with all these top 10 ideas. Like is there just a list.. a long list of video ideas? That’s goes on forever or are they redoing videos or how the hell have they done this for so long?
I hope Punk is not #1
Perc Angle
Lack of Ron Killings makes this list laughable.
No. Tna Bobby Rude..... far more rude lee awesome than glorious mid card garbage
