One time we had a football match with the Kohima village football team and the match went on till they won. Our 40 minutes went to 3-4hrs. Our leg became their ball too. Bishi bhutani ase KV khan. Backwardness in individual not the tribe.
My dear brothers, I want you to know that the issue here is not of which tribe but rather of the wrong influence that has been passed on to the youths, while in high school I often encountered brawls taking place between the native villagers and people who were not from there (including myself) the words that stood dominant were “ tumi moikhan la mati tey asey, moikhan la hawa pani khai asey, bishi hala kurile morai tiwo” and needless to say the same happened with me whenever I got into an argument with my peers who belonged to the same locality, I’m positive this happens everywhere regardless of whichever tribe it may be, when we reside in the comfort of our own people we gain the false confidence to assert dominance over other tribes or people who do not belong to the same community as we do. It’s high time we realise that this is not the way to go about, AIR? WATER? LAND? it’s absurd how we claim authority over what God has provided for all of us. This incident under any circumstances should not have taken place, it breaks my heart to even think of what his loved ones must be going through. If we don’t educate the people around us be it our elders, peers or younger brothers and sisters, our Naga society will never take a leap towards prosperity. Let us learn to realise that decisions taken in anger can cause havoc and destroy lives both ours and of our loved ones. Let this incident be a lesson for all of us and the last of it.
This is disheartening, us Naga's especially younger generations including me are so disrespectful these days, we have no respect for elders and have lost all morality. This news really came as a surprise for me, being from dimapur where driving is no easy task as 90% of the drivers drive with the ‘Motto: Moi eh first javo-laki’. Added to the taunting heat and humidity, followed by the free gift of the yellow-three-wheeler which comes from north-south-east-west-left-right-middle-anywhere-wherever-possible. So, kinda understandable if it had happened in dimapur because all of the said factors can cause the rush of blood to explode.( though by no means i encourage the murder or the violence that took place, but i guess you get what i am saying right #heat of the moment, men being men). So, from personal experience the news really came as a big surprise because when even i go for some certain works to kohima or visit family members. I often come across very patient car drivers, who would literally wait patiently as i turn my car around and what not. I often use to acknowledge to my friends and family about the people of kohima and their sense of car driving ethics. So my point is, to have this incident occur from a traffic tussle is indeed really shocking. (P.s: #IMPO) #RIP for the departed soul. And as per the law that is laid out #Justice should be served.
