    Nice historical reference to the circular galley port

    Hi Rahdo...good video..as part of setup, I think the rule says to pick the influence disc from any of the residence column and put on the empty harbor space. So you start with 3 disc next to your residence at the start of the game.

      It was already noted. Please turn on the Klingon Subtitles (like Richard says at the start of the video) to see when he makes goofs!

      Yet another ship games! It's been all boats lately... well he does live on an island, he appreciates them (-: I've yet to purchase an Eisenstein game. It is pretty attractive, action wheel looks fun. Game has a lot of options.

      I am not a fan of his games either, but mostly because of the not so attractive artwork (subjective of course). Peloponnes however is an exceptional design and I regret having sold it tbh. This one attracts me because the mechanisms look rock solid, production seems to be better than all of his earlier tittles, and the artwork is absolutely beautiful here imo.

      The Glass card cracks me up. But with some seriousness, the drawings in the Actions are awesome. They really captured the old, wonky style of human figures, but made it clean and really nice to look at.

    Is that a prototype? It looks like the cards are not rounded corners?
    Also, it looks like the round tracker fits inside the not-rondel. Does it?
    Thanks for this runthrough. Definintely interested in looking for it at Essen.

      i talked about the card edges in the final thoughts (prototype). and yes, the round tracker gets punched out of the rondel-ey thing :)

      I saw the mention in final thoughts, but of course only after i left the comment.

    Hi, I don't think you spent a trade card when you performed a warship Dock delivery around minute 40 - unless I am mistaking the rules of course. ;)

    • @PauloRenato23
      @PauloRenato23 Před 6 lety

      he paid at 34:29

      Thank Paulo! Isn't that lumber the goods he pays for the commercial delivery? I am under the impression that after that, when you choose to perform also a Warship delivery (as second part of the Harbour delivery action), you also have to discard a trade card of your choice. Thanks for your help!

    • @PauloRenato23
      @PauloRenato23 Před 6 lety

      from the explanation from Richard you get to do both things with one action/payment

      Thanks Paulo. I spent some time on this, and while the rules are not adamantine, there is one sentence at the beginning of the Harbour Delivery action, beside the section title, which IS clear: "Deliver ONE good to each harbour in whichever order you choose.". I just say this to help people like me, who rely on your and Rahdo's work, to learn new games - which is what I usually do, and the reason why my question arose in the first place. Thanks for your answers Paulo, and keep up your great work! :)

      @@Niceghoul When using the Warship delivery you must discard ONE goods card of your choice. If you use the Harbour action you discard a MATCHING good. Either way, each delivery is one card - so if you maximize your action (doing both deliveries) you must deliver 2 cards.
