Except that as the pilot, you can’t bail out of the chopper. The way it spins when out of control and the blades will get you. When did you ever hear about a chopper pilot parachuting to safety?
The future will be hybrid drones with lot of redundant safety features. If ICE engine fails, enough battery power to land safely. Redundant electronics.
Some things you just don't skimp on and helicopters are one of them, you get what you pay for, kinda like Robinson's which are notorious for mast bumping due to low force load limits that are exacerbated by the choice of 2 powerful engines that the frame and body aren't durable enough in my opinion and others with 145 hp which is derated to 131 hp for five minutes at takeoff and 124 hp for continuous operation. A powerful engine, a lightweight steel-tube airframe. The R22 uses a horizontally mounted Lycoming O-320 (O-360-J2A on the Beta II), flat-four, air-cooled, normally aspirated, carburetor-equipped, reciprocating engine. It is fueled with 100LL grade aviation gasoline and for such lightweight material used in the construction if continuously flown beyond the load limits you will most definitely end up dead like so many other previous Robinson owners.

That means you could clock the hours needed to be licensed and at the cost similar to another car in the driveway you’ve got your vehicle you can actually use and that thing looks like once you take the rotors off it’ll fit in the garage almost. I do remember watching camp flying around with hella weed stuffed in a net being flown around by a helo to a burn pit people would follow them and grab what was falling out it was like raining weed here at that time lol

The turbine option is sweet, but the belt and pulleys really should be enclosed. Pigeon flys by, gets sucked down through the main and into that belt, jamming your rotor drive train...💀 It is a nice looking aircraft though.

Dont expect to get the turbine powered one in the video for 40k. That will put it over 100k and you'll need to be turbine certified.
