why do so many buzzfeed employees act like not being able to cook is a personality trait...
Sarah J clearly you’ve never met anyone that lived in New York or Los Angeles because most everyone from there is like this
@@hotinmybags Lol i live in NYC
we get it Sara you are better than us!!!! ( im joking but like idk many people here in LA that actually know how to cook... )
Sarah J also a lot people just work intense hours, like if i was working 60-70 hours a week i would not want to come home and cook a whole meal and clean
@@hotinmybags For me there's a big difference between not having time to cook (which I totally understand) and actually not knowing how to feed your self and acting like that makes you quirky and relatable
Low carb doesn't translate to a healthy diet, pls dont spread that... carbs are not unhealthy or make you fat.
Great comment!
However, actively lowering the amount of processed and refined carbs you eat is a super easy and satisfying way to lose weight. I lost 75lbs this way
@@user-st6ui7oy1p I'm not talking about processed carbs, I'm referring to complex carbs like potatoes, oats or bulgur.
I can't see eating low carb unless you're diabetic like myself. And even I throw a few extra carbs in there because it's hard to eat low carb.
Lena Wolperding exactly! Also, things like beans and lentils are loaded with antioxidants. Studies actually show that women who ate diets that included beans (not refried and filled with crap) had healthier reproductive health, and went through menopause later in life.
I hate this idea of carbs being labeled “unhealthy”. Also not a fan of Buzzfeed feeding into that false idea, and encouraging that behavior
Lit what I was about to say! Carbohydrates are essential
Exactly.. Your brain needs carbs to function.. That's why people struggle to concentrate when they cut out carbs
i dont think they did that... i think she just wants to eat low carb.. she ate beans and grains so i dont think they demonized carbs anywhere.
There's carbs in veggies too though
I know, right?? Carbs are unhealthy, but drinking a smoothie that has more powders than actual things in it is so healthy...for some reason....I just can't wrap my mind around that.
If you have a nutritionist, trainer, chef, housekeeper and millionaire home and lifestyle it's alot easier to eat well.
Suzanne Snow not really. It’s a choice. I work full time and go gym after work and usually meal prep every Sunday for the week. Works for me
It doesn’t have to be too much work to eat healthy
@@bjewel3751 that still requires more effort than having someone whose a professional come and do it for you, work outs at your house, its still easier, but congrats tho i guess
Registered Dietician' s are better than a nutritionist. Nutritionists don't require a college degree and RD's do : )
It’s not that hard. There are so many resources online nowadays, you can eat healthy on a budget even if you’re time poor. allocate some time each week to meal prep. You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on a gym or a personal trainer, you can easily go for a run for free or do a CZcams workout at home. You don’t need fancy ingredients, buy all the organic produce or superfoods in order to eat well. Keep it simple and balanced.
you should eat like gordon ramsey
melissa ! Yeah, take two bites and send it away in anger.
Raw
Bland
OMG this is me 24/7. I cook constantly and I get overwhelmed by it ALL THE TIME. The frustration of never ending cooking and dishes then cooking again and then having even more dishes is too real. Way to go with this challenge!
Gwyneth takes health and overcomplicates it to such a level...
You don't have to do all those things in order to eat and live healthy, make it simple for yourself and make it a lifestyle. Consider it something you could do for the rest of your life.

Does anybody else ever wonder why the employees of buzzfeed seem to pay for the supplies for a video out of pocket? This is for their job, shouldn’t they be getting reimbursed for the things they need to make a video??
a lot of times, they buy the products, keep their receipts and turn them in and get reimbursed
I think they have a company card? On one of the lady likes trying trader joes video they said they forgot the company card so had to use someone else’s, or they just reimburse them after the videos?
it depends on the video, but usually before production on any video begins Buzzfeed producers need to submit a basic premise/outline for the video and list of supplies/equipment needed and the budget for the video.
Even on basic, self-produced videos like this where obviously the subject of the piece is also filming/directing/writing the video, the video proposal is the basic premise for which content is approved.
Money for the budget is given before filming and I’m sure any other expenses incurred during the production of the video will be reimbursed after the submission of receipts.
These people basically never pay for anything out of pocket when it comes to the videos, which is the benefit to working for a corporation like buzzfeed rather than being an independent creator who pays for all overhead costs.
BUT buzzfeed owns all the videos and Intellectual Property associated, and also all the profits if a video goes viral.
I think that for the video they're given a budget, which they'll either use a company card for or be reimbursed for - but if they go over then they pay for the excess amount themselves.
I've had friends who work there and gotten sort of mixed feedback on how that works. But seems like usually they turn in receipts for anything like whatever powder this lady spent $60 on to make smoothies and get reimbursed. Something like almond milk it is more like well you would be buying it anyway. But I never worked there and only can go one what two people said. In general they didn't like the job and have since gone on to start an independent CZcams channel.
How often does she eat out? I cook a lot and it's never really a chore unless I just don't have the time for it
Literally my thoughts every time Buzzfeed comes out with a "I ate like x for a week" xD
I think most of the buzzfeed employees just deliver food or eat out, or they cook only like basics
I like cooking but its definitely a chore for me due to my schedule. Some people just don't have the time or would rather use what time they have doing other stuff. Balance is difficult.
Cooking + cleaning up would take 1.5 -2 hours for me. Much easier to grab something to go. Meal preps dont seem appetizing to me.
@@niccolom4556 It doesn't take me long to cook and I clean dishes in bulk. I just make sure to wipe down the stove and counters in the meantime
I wouldn't eat anything gwyneth paltrow recommends
happy skeleton why?
@@divyaawasthi2845 because her company scams people and most of the stuff she claims has no back in actual science
happy skeleton ah that’s interesting. Didn’t know much about that

Cordyceps is a fungi (grown on insect larvae in case y'all needed to vomit) and it's similar to activated charcoal in that you have to be cautious if/when you consume it. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have a blood disorder, an autoimmune disorder, or are going to have surgery, it can cause some complications.
www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-602/cordyceps
I'm all for eating healthier and whatnot, but if you're going to try out new things that celebrities (or health blogs) recommend - *PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE* do your research first! You could unintentionally harm yourself by taking/eating something that you shouldn't.
Anna Gump 🤢
Not a single mention of feeling better, more energy, weight loss.... any of the benefits one expects when eating healthy!
Well eating healthy doesn't always mean weight loss, if you're undernourishing yourself, it'll mean weight gain. But you're totally right about the other things! :)
Instead she's got migraines, overslept, and "feels like crap"
I've cooked 3 meals a day for the last 30 years for hubby and I and our daughter when she was little. I cannot believe how much it surprises me that so many people don't cook more than they do. I know a lot of people eat out but it's so much better and fresher when you cook it yourself and you know exactly what's going into it.
Agree, I always say if you want to eat you have to cook, eating out wasn't a thing when I was growing, up, everyone cooked and ate at home, I'd rather my own food, not wasting money on sub standard food, and I never eat fast food or takeaway, don't like anything sweet, eat plain simple food as that what I was brought up on and that's the way I I like my food
Like some people already say, Paltrow's way of eating is no more than Orthodexia which is an obsession for healthy foods, lifestyle and clean habits. And it costs a lot of money.
Gwyneth is crazy. Why would anyone do what she recommends? Lolol
jesus christ your lives are purposeless.
I don't think she actually uses or does any of the stuff on GOOP. I think it was Jimmy Kimmel but some talk show has a video where she couldn't identify products from the site. That being said she does have a short term memory issue.
Eating should not be this stressful and upsetting. This is called orthorexia.
For anybody with few cooking skills, cooking for a week will be stressful.
@@recoil53 it's a survival skill
where'd you get orthorexia? orthorexia is over exersising. she might have disordered eating but i think she's just stressed because she has to cook for a week. don't throw around those words so lightly
@@mj-yo7vt Which doesn't make it less stressful for somebody unused to it.
@@sophiemerissa3302 orthorexia is actually a fixation with 'healthy' eating, not over-exercising.
Why wouldn’t you just make a green smoothie instead of buying all those powders? Also...why wouldn’t she use frozen corn? This whole video is confusing
And why would you make a tiny salad for lunch and then complain about it not making you full. You can have a huge salad. It's all food your body needs. There is no need to portion control greens.
Moderation is ultimately the key to a healthy diet. I don’t actually do this but I know I should. Don’t completely cut things out of your diet (unless your allergic to it or something) but eat less of it. We should also be spreading out when we consume food throughout the day, rather than eating a lot in three individual sittings.
Spirit dust legit sounds like another word for cremated remains
Miss_Kisa94 I honestly thought the same 🤣🤣
😂 this is now what I’m going to call cremated remains
Pretty sure I have a pile of Spirit Dust in at least 7 of the video games that I play. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
so glad to see that the "using a plate as a pot lid" concept is universal 😂
it's so strange how people from different countries have such different relationships with food. i'm european and lived in the states for over a year and at first it surprised me how often americans ate out/postmated their meals (it influenced me a lot when i was there as well, i ate out 3/4 times a week which was unheard of for me). now that i'm back in europe i usually eat out once a week (sometimes not even that) and i make every single meal from scratch. way better for my bank account than when i was in the states lmao
Do they just hire employees based on how much they complain? Asking for a friend
Cordyceps sounds like a creature from The Last of Us.
It's the fungus that grows on the brain
Alice Kury ah okay
Omg! That’s what I was thinking. I was all “No don’t ingest that!” Lol
@@Iheartsylvia haha same it sounds nasty lol
Honestly, I eat three meals a day that I cook myself, but I have the routine down. When I cook dinner I freeze the leftovers into individual portions. Then I have several diff individual size meals to choose from for lunch. I also cook big batches of stuff on Sundays and individually freeze those. I usually have a vitamin and protein shake for breakfast, as well as an egg. EZ.
Does Gwyneth have a reputation for being healthy? I thought she had a rep for running a brand that peddles BS...
sPiRiT dUsT
She should have made larger portions so she could have had leftovers.
I enjoyed this! I feel better and look better when I am mainly consuming what I cook myself. That way I can control what additives, oils and allergens are in it. Unfortunately, it takes time to cook and not everyone has the time to be in the kitchen and washing dishes 3 times a day, lol. To deal with that, I end up just making minimal ingredient meals, eat the same thing often, or make a base dish myself and buy pre-made items that have short and healthy ingredients. For example I might buy fresh guacamole and blue corn tortillas, then make green rice and pan fried fish (a little olive oil) in my kitchen to add to it.
The recipes I have made from GOOP all turned out pretty well. I did her winter detox a few years ago, it wasn't anything crazy like the master cleanse. Just 3 days of smoothies for breakfast, soup and salad for lunch and like salmon and vegetables for dinner. I wasn't starving and it was kinda just a few days to recover from all the over eating of the holidays.
Pssshhh, girl please! You know ole' Gwennie doesn't cook ANY of these meals herself LOL. Don't feel bad 😂😂

Anyone remember Shallow Hal when Jack Black saw a morbidly obese woman as a stick thin Gwyneth because of hypnotism. Yup those were different times indeed
Goop is just Gwyneth Paltrow's initials with two Os between them because someone told her that all big companies have two Os in their names.
My dinner party dish is actually goops korean sticky chicken. You can make it with fried and battered tofu too and it’s even better
Isn't she the gal that's convinced you can be healthy on 300 calories a day?
Should probably follow someone who's not just eating enough food to stay alive.
She said she only needs 1-2 squares of toilet paper too, so she's gotta keep the intake down. Otherwise we're KILLING THE FORESTS TO MAKE TOILET PAPER!!!
“I was eating low carb: lots of fruit” lol
Good video, but honestly psyched for whatever zombie steampunk thing Chloe is doing :)
It sounds like you have a food intolerance, the first day you got a migraine and then digestional distress. Normally happens to me when I eat something that my body doesn't like
Taking the phrase living through someone, literal
Wow you did it girl. It didn't look too bad and I would totally skip the weird breakfast smoothie and probably that lunch too.
I have all 4 of GP's cookbooks and as a trained chef i can attest that they are well researched, tested, and most of the recipes are delicious! This person clearly doesn't have a lot of cooking knowledge (not that you should need much, the recipes are easy to follow), so I would say don't blame GP, blame the person cooking them. FYI - in all fairness, if a recipe calls for corn and you don't add corn, and if it doesn't turn out, it's your fault - not the recipes. Common sense would say that that was way too much onion in the first salad, did you measure? Was there a dressing? Did you even spring for a cookbook or are these just random recipes off GOOP; some of these recipes can be taken out of context - they may be intended for a cleanse etc. I'm so sick of people criticizing recipes and cookbooks who are clearly disasters in the kitchen to begin with.
Most of these recipe portions are wayyyy to small. If you're having a salad without any protein as a meal it should be the size of your head.
Omg I totally wore that steampunk costume like 3 years ago.!
Cordyceps...as in that fungus that burrows into ants brains, takes over their minds and then kills them? cool cool cool cool cool
People from the USA seem to have a fascinating relationship with food, you like it and need it to function, but you feel bad about eating it. Carbohydrates, sugar, fat, these are not unhealthy food-stuff per se. And then there's this notion of "not eating processed foods", while at the same time putting powders produced in labs in your "healthy" smoothie. Why not just eat fruits? Is it because there's too much sugar in natural fruits? I'm not saying everyone in the USA is like this, but that's the impression I got from watching CZcams videos ;)
then there's me who eats food i enjoy without giving it second thought cause we're all gonna die some day anyway.
"never made my own dressing before"??? - I think I never bought a dressing in my life
Everything kind of looked yummy😍
I would add lean ground turkey to the cilantro, onion and bean bowl. I know beans have protein but that needed a meat to fill me up till dinner!
Would live to see chole do a meal prep video ...ask Mike from lady like to help ya . It truely helps cause your not cooking all day every day and encourages healthy eating
too late now, but for the future..you're supposed to slowly stream in the oil until it congeals/coagualates; once it does then you can more, quicker.
also, i see you stepping up the makeup & hair game! #WerkBitch 😍
What she should try is hello fresh! I bought 3 months for my mom as a Christmas gift last year! They send awesome recipe cards that yare easy to follow and laminated so you can keep them and all the food you need delivered to your front door AND has recipes from all around the world!
As/Is is my fav YT channel 🥰

She’s so Americanised that she says “I’m from Britain”
We don’t say that 😂
Either “i’m from England/wales/Scotland”
Or “the UK”
xoMehh and the way she says tomatoes as well!
Easy for Gwyneth to eat "healthy" as I'm sure she has a chef doing all the cooking.
Blend a banana, a handful of strawberries and a individual bottle of apple juice to get a much tastier smoothie.
A coffee, a sandwich, and something low carb for dinner?
You gotta be eating more than that to be staying alive.
I'm in my late twenties so probably her age. Learned cooking from both my grandmas in my teens. Cooked for myself and friends during both my under- and post-graduate degrees. Never understood people who could a.) afford to eat out more than twice a week and b.) who aren't willing to invest in their own palate/health aka learn how to cook basic stuff.
yes I agree! This woman is lowkey a littler pretentious/annoying
LOL That costume-awesome!
Gweneth has a health brand yet she smokes cigarettes lmao the logic
Erin tbh I bet Gwyneth doesn’t eat shi and just smokes cigs to curb the appetite and stay petite
Mark Jones YUP. So stupid
CORDYCEPS EXCUSE ME SIR?!?!?
Honestly I think if you want to be healthier and don't want to over complicate things just buy ready prepped veggies, frozen healthy foods as well as plenty of spices to make it taste better, then just make lots of leftovers you can repurpose, like the meatballs she made into pasta sauce, pasta sauces like ragu can be made into a stew with some broth it's not too hard
The way she described her kitchen... Girl, it's HUGE!
“I have to cook some more!”
Lol, well yeah. That’s how it works.
Didn't know my ability to cook three times a day with a superpower.
How does cooking three meals a day prohibit your social life/being able to do other things? These buzzfeed employees are sometimes are not only out of touch but just plain silly sometimes.
I remember Gwyneth trying to survive on foodstamps and failing. You can only life the Goopy life of you have the moolah
What do you mean you couldn’t find corn? Anywhere? Not even frozen?
I cook my food all day and everyday coz I love cooking.
Great job Chloe!!! Please do another person!
Yeah I think "crazy" healthy (emphasizes on the crazy), is a fair assessment on Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle, but she's Uber rich so let her do her.
It's not just that she's rich. Gwenneth grew up in Hollywood to parents in the business, so she buys into a lot of snake oil.
So we're not gonna talk about Goop
Make weekly challenges 7 days
life is too short to not eat like it's your last day on earth
how do you just not find corn
Right haha same place she got the canned beans
Enjoying your food and the preparation of it is part of eating healthy. Whatever diet you want to follow adjust it to your taste and lifestyle. Recipes are guidelines, if it doesn't work change it.
Yum
How can you not find corn?? It’s fresh, it’s canned, it’s frozen...
I think the diet videos are really interesting, but I also watch them and wonder if I'm the only one who still remembers all of those My Healthy Plate models? I'd love to see BuzzFeed make a "diet" video about it!
carbs are an important nutrient as well as sugar an salt. You should eat less refined carbs and substitute it with grains and use grains to make bread. Low carb is not healthy and so is sugar and salt free. You can sub white sugar with healthier alternative which is better and use iodine free sea salt (pure) or himalayan.
Can't find corn???
I was expecting a model bf but he is such a normal bf. U go girl! Glad not everyone of these vloggers are not superficial.
you cant find corn?
This girl is damn goodlooking and the accent 😊
I just want to be good."
I demand the pancake recipe.
Chloe looks like the wife from “Living with Yourself” on Netflix
Well Gwenyth probably doesn't cook all her own meals every day so that probably makes it easier to stick to.
Ivy Black I’ve always said that I wouldn’t have any issue being completely healthy if someone else made it for me and made it delicious 🤷🏻♀️
What a fun idea for those who want to reclaim their health. Make the recipes your own. Gwen is a rockstar of good health and yes, she can afford to do so. But, the average Jane and Joe can revamp her ideas to suit their budget. Not too difficult.
How can you hate onions?
actually i doubt it
Finally, someone else who doesn't like breakfast!
Lmao make your own croutons
As a Mexican female I can never relate to these videos since I was 10 I always got stuck in the kitchen learning to make basic things like rice, beans, chicken, meat, a couple of salsas. So I can make pretty basic things. Do I have to ask for help since I dont do them often? Yes, but once I get my questions answered it's like mental mechanics. Also I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food so if I have an idea for something i always want to try it out and see if it's good. Like once, I came home and I wanted chinese food but I'm poor and too lazy to buy the food. So I used some vegetables in my fridge that were about to go bad, sauteed those, boiled some spaghetti, and added some sauces and spices and bOom, the poor mans stir fry. The only thing that weird me out is when people get those pre-made meal kits and all you really have to do is mix stuff and cook and they think it's hard? Like its literally all cut, measured, and you have EVERYTHING that's needed and you sTILL cant cook it properly?
The avocado bowl looked good until the onions and cilantro
Ok now, waiting for the Vjayjay candles by GP, reviews......
Isn't cordyceps the fungus from the last of us?
Alice Kury indeed it is
