  • Somali pirates appear to be making a comeback. Attacks around the Horn of Africa have risen sharply - adding to the risks posed by Yemen's Houthi rebels targeting ships in the Red Sea.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
Since November pirates have tried to hijack more than 20 ships - their highest number of attacks in more than a decade.
We went to the port town of Eyl, the ancient capital of Somalia, to find out what impact their return is having on people there.

Perhaps this piece didn't go deep enough to answer an obvious question. If illegal foreign fishing trawlers are stealing from these fishermen, then why don't the fishermen go after the trawlers? Why is international shipping their target, their "only choice"? Whatever it is, the justification for going after world trade is weaker than ever. On the flip side, any company that sends unarmed container or tanker crews is just asking for it.
