Love how the truck turned out. But as a operator of an 05 F250 6.0 crew cab long bed I'll can tell you from experience with the one I drive that the 6.0 came with catalytic converters and not a diesel particulate filter (i.e. DPF). The DPF didn't become an oem device on the super duty until 2008. Also note that a DPF on a super duty is roughly half the length of the pick up box, half the size of a beer keg, weights a cr@pload and costs between $3800 to $4000 to replace if damaged. The newer ones are worst. Also the last I checked MBRP doesn't offer a 4" Downpipe unless you put in a custom request. The only companies I am aware of that offer a 4" Downpipe upgrade for the 6.0's are Pypes, Flo-pro, Diamond Eye and Banks.
Nevertheless still sweet sounding.. The 05 6.0 I drive I had a ton of work done to it over the years. Such as:
    ARP Studs
    Cometic Head Gaskets
Bulletproof Diesel H-Core EGR Cooler & Aluminum Radiator
BD Diesel High Idle Control/CCV Filter/Coolant Filter
FASS Titanium 125gph Fuel Pump w/sump kit
Driven Diesel FASS Pump service Priming Kit and 75psi regulated return spring
Banks Intercooler with intake elbow and charge tubes
    190amp alternator
    Gear Reduction starter
    MBRP T409 5" Cat-Back with 3.5" Turbo Downpipe
PSC Big Bore Power Steering Gearbox
And a lot of others that made it impressive.
But a little tip to help improve power and efficiency.. checkout new south diesel TK-7. I've used that stuff in the 6.0 I drive and it really keeps the pistons/valves and turbo vanes clean and running smoothly. Just note it is not cheap nor a joke and they do have test videos here on CZcams of their TK-7 comparing to other major brands.
    Have fun & cheers

      6.0 vans 2008-2010 had dpf

    • @jbussey5301
      @jbussey5301 Před 3 měsíci

@rileykirk11 never heard of a 6.0 platform nor seen any documented 6.0 running a DPF since the initial build & designing of the 6.0 pre-dated the requirements of utilizing a DPF. The exhaust based emissions devices that the 6.0 is supposed to be installed from factory per requirements is as follows:
      EGR Valve & EGR Cooler
      EBP Sensor
      Catalytic Converter
      Muffler
I can't imagine how often one has to replace the factory Variable Vane Turbocharger or factory EGR Cooler due to the immense flow restriction the DPF would cause. The 6.0 wasn't built designed to utilize a DPF. Anybody that straps something like that on a 6.0 it would not meet requirements made by Ford Motor Company/Navistar-International and the E.P.A. & S.A.E.
The aim with the 6.0 was to improve horsepower & torque output while implementing a smidgen of additional emissions devices revolving around the actual engine. The engine met requirements & demands in early 2002 to proceed straight to mass production. Problem is as we all know a thorough stress & strain test to 6.0 alone or mounted in any chassis was never properly performed prior to sales, which resulted in the catastrophic fallout of failures. So, to add a DPF to an engine that only had to meet the requirements of the kickoff of the 21st century sounds not only like a daily catastrophe.. but also about as equivalent as to putting a DPF on a Detroit 8V71. At which point the only purpose that DPF would serve as is an assisted destructive devices. You can correct me if you'd like. But after understanding the requirements the 6.0 was brand meet or exceed in the early 2000's.. the DPF was never on list of required parts the 6.0 was supposed to have from factory. Now since I am referring to the requirements in the United States, I will every other country has their own different requirements & restrictions.
