  • After the Top 251 of 1982 songs in USA (you can see the video here : • Top Pop Songs USA 1982 ), here comes volume 2, including songs which mostly peaked Billboard between #50 and #100 in chronological order. These songs were unsuccessful in America and stayed at the bottom of Billboard. Videos are short because of copyright restrictions.
Missing "Start it all over" from McGuffey Lane (peak #97) : not available on CZcams when I made this video but available now : • Video

So many classics that weren't "hits" like Closer to the Heart, I Know What Boys Like, What Do All the People Know, I Want Candy, No One Like You, Planet Rock, Situation, The Message, Talk Talk, You've Got Another Thing Comin', Valerie, and Goodbye to You.

Hard to believe the cover of 'Its My Party' wasn't a hit there, neither was 'A Night To Remember' nor 'Cat People (Putting Out The Fire)' and they're not the only shocks! That The Carpenters video looks like some cheap late night teleshopping advert! 'I Know What Boys Like' deserved more too. I do like 'All Night With Me' - a very typical early 80s ballad but Laura really belts out and it's a romantic song. The Pia Zadora song is funny for the breakdown at the end of the song! Carly Simon's 'Why' my favourite. It was big here in the UK! A shame it was never a hit there. Perfect song on a warm summers day despite the bittersweet concept about bad love and a happy tune. Yazoo's 'Situation' pretty cool too. 'Talk Talk' cool as well. I do prefer the 1982 version to 'Valerie'.
1982 isn't a strong year musically, but there are some good songs here. Many ordinary ballads amongst the mix.

I believe Larry Lee was the drummer/vocalist for the Ozark Mountain Daredevils.
Fantastic line up of songs here Francis, even if most weren't big hits.

    - Certains noms des 60's/70's s'accrochaient encore (The Carpenters, The Kinks, Carly Simon, Petula Clark, Carole King, Gordon Lightfoot, Santana, The Temptations, Sparks, Oak Ridge Boys, Kansas, Joni Mitchell, )

    Great video!!!!
Rock from the 80's sounds pretty cool !!!
By the way, Old School Rap in those times sounded similar to dance and disco, now only trap is used, I don't hate it but it seems very repetitive, especially in Mumble Rap.

Judas Priest \m/ Too bad that was their only charting song. And Calling All Girls from Queen is a song from Hot Space worth defending (Besides Back Chat and the Bowie one.)
