Were you cringing as much as I was during the bend test?!
Congrats on passing your test. As much as i was squinting, cringing, and puckered during the bend test, i bet no one was as much as you were. Congrats again for passing. Im sure you could pass the abs masters with your skills. Just have to put the time in now that you have the journeyman
@@jacksmith2315 not a Jouneyman yet! I still need to make 5 presentation knives to be judged by a panel of masters in June
Dayum. Not only did the blade not crack or break, it dang near came back to true.
To answer the question you ask. No. Not worried a bit. You were way too happy in the intro for the test to have been a failure.
Yes! Congratulations on passing. We never doubted you.
That test was never wracking for sure. I'm amazed you didn't have a heart attack
Congratulations! That's an amazing job. That 90° bend part always makes me nervous. Well done sir.
Thanks for watching, Chris!
Congratulations! A long time coming! Way to start off 2022!
Thanks, Justin!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! We all knew you were going to nail it! What a great group to get to spend the day with! Well done.
Thanks! It was a really fun day with great people!
Congratulations man!! Happy with ya! Keep well
Thanks, Johan!
Congrats! That stresstest was nervewrecking to watch, great performance!
Yeah it sure was! Thanks for watching!
Congradulations! I'm excited to see the next portion with your presentation oriented knives.
Thanks, Sean! I’m already working on the first presentation knife.
This is like when you finish every single side quest before facing the boss. You're OP now.
Haha, well that might be the master smith test. 😜. Thanks for watching
Congrats man!!!! I've been kinda binge watching your videos and your style of knife making is definitely top shelf
Thanks for checking out the video library. New build video coming tomorrow you won’t want to miss!
@@TyrellKnifeworks definitely. I'll keep an eye out. Hope you have an awesome weekend.
Awesome job! Passing that test must be a fantastic feeling!
It really is! Thanks for watching, Luke!
Congratulations and well done! The bend always makes me clench, hehe. I'm excited to see what you come up with for the presentation!!
Thanks, Hannah! I’m already working on the presentation knives so you’ll see those builds too!
Congratulations on passing! You have been doing amazing work and we are all so excited to see what you come up with next!
Thanks, Jake!
CONGRATS!!!! I look forward to the journey to master
Thanks, Greg! That’ll be a few years off, but I have it in my goals!
Congratulations Denis! I was a little stressed throughout, but I trusted you! It's beautiful to see all these enthusiasts together as a family, thank you for sharing this day with us :-)
Thank you for checking it out and for your support!
Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well Done, TK
Thanks, Jerry!
Congratulations And good luck on your show blades.
Thanks! I'm already working on #1. Hopefully it'll be this Sunday's video.
Congratulations! Impressive work!
Thank you!
Congratulations, it's good to see that you have lots of Smith's that you can check out in your local area. Living in the Yukon I'm much more isolated, as a fellow Canadian I'm stoked for you!
Thanks, Justin!
That was awesome! Congratulations! That knife bend was intense.
Thanks! It sure was!
Good luck, and congratulations! You got this!
Thanks so much, Christopher!
Congratulations on passing your journeyman test. I look forward to your mastersmith video in the future.
Well this is just the performance part of the Journeyman test. There's still 5 presentation knives that need to be made and presented to a panel of master smiths for judging at Blade in June. THEN if I pass I get my Journeyman rating. Thanks for watching, Joe!
Congrats man. Great job
Thanks, Nick!
Considering I watched the test knife, and was amazed at its performance, I was sort of chill about the tests, but I still got anxious at the bending, but was sure it would be fine, Tyrell knives are always fine. As a conclusion, congratulations on becoming a journeyman smith, you earned it. 👍👍👍 👏👏👏
Not quite a JS yet, there’s still the 5 knives to be judged by a panel of masters in June. Thanks though!
@@TyrellKnifeworks So as good as done. Most of the people that follow your channel know you'll pass no problem.
Congratulations! Awesome job.
Thanks!
Congratulations!! Thats an awesome accomplishment, you should be proud.
Thanks, John!
Congratulations on your test brother 👏 🙌 💪 👍
Thank you!
Congratulations and a grand job done
Thanks, Bob!
Congratulations man NICE JOB
Thanks so much! I’m happy it went well.
Congratulations Denis. All of could see that you were tense but you had it in the bag. It had to be a great experience working with and around those other great smith's.
Pat
It was a really fun day! It was so great to work beside these smiths after the test! Thanks, Pat!
Great results, congratulations.
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations Denis!!! Proud of you my brother! Can't wait to see the other knives! I still have 2.5 years before I can take my JS TEST! 🙏🏻😎👍🏻🔨🔥🗡️
Thanks, Bob!
Congratulations with passing the test! I'm sure you will pass the rest with flying colors. Your copper pattern-welded, black-washed knives are the most beautiful I've ever seen. I'm personally mostly into folding knives, since I have no use for (and can't legally carry) a fixed-blade knife in my day-to-day time, but I really enjoy your channel and your work. The copper/black-washed combination is perfect; a little bit edgy (pun intended), extremely classy, without going overboard on either parameter.
Thanks, Kasper! I appreciate you watching!
Spoiler alert!!!
I may just be just some random person on the internet to you, but I have nearly all your videos and I am so happy for you! You are a super-skilled smith with an awesome attitude.
I was cautiously optimistic during the bend test, that 90 degrees is flippin crazy!
Thanks for your support! The test was a bit stressful but very rewarding!
Congrats, really awesome job!
Thanks, Jeff!
Oh man what an journey...thanks for taking us along, man was my heart pumping during that bend test. Congrats!
Yeah, it was a nail biter for sure! Thanks for watching, Nicholas!
That was awesome Denis!!!!
And congratulations!!!!🤠👍Kelly has some killer stuff and her and Vinnie are the best peeps!!!🇺🇸
It was a really fun day for sure!
Congratulations, my friend!
Thanks so much, Gord!
thats awesome man congratulations!!!
Thanks!
Great work mate. Absolutely love your content. You must be stoked.
Thanks! I’m happy that part is behind me! 😜
Right on! That is so awesome!! Congratulations Denis!!🔥⚒💪🏻 got me thinking I should get into the abs.
Definitely! At the very least to get the clock started! Thanks!
Congratulations sir!
Thanks, Jon!
These testing videos always stress me out haha! Congrats!!
Yeah, imagine doing them to your own knife! 😜. Thanks!
Congratulations Dennis I didn't doubt you for a second. But I was still cringing when you did the bend test. As always well done and thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Stephen!
Congratulations! Your knives are beautiful!
Thanks!
that tip about curving it before forging the bevels. brilliant!
Thanks, Adam! I’m glad the tip helped you. 👍
Que coisa boa, todo o processo de preparação pra o JS. Parabéns.
Obrigada!
Congratulations Dennis!
Thanks, Ed!
Congrats and good luck man.
Thanks, Chad! I’m already working on my 5 knives. 🤞
@@TyrellKnifeworks you got it man!

Nicely done on the performance portion. The bend test was nerve racking.
It sure was nerve racking! I’m glad it’s over. Thanks for watching!
Looks like a fantastic time. Grats on passing the test..
It was a blast learning from these folks! Thanks for watching!
I'm glad you passed the test! OMG! That bend test got me nervous! 😅
Congratulations!
Thanks, William!
Great job! Man, when you were bending that knife I felt like I was there with you, turning my head one eye open, heart pounding. Was the most intense thing I've watched so far this year lol
Haha, yeah it’s stressful to watch… imagine doing it to your own knife! 😜 Thanks for watching!
hahaa me too😂
Congratulations! That’s nerve racking.
It sure was! Thanks for watching, Roger!
Great accomplishment! Good stuff!
Thanks, Bill!
Passing that test like a Boss 😉 Well f@cking done brother! Can't wait to follow you through the rest!!!
Thanks! It was stressful but I’m happy it’s over. 😜
Congratulations Sir great job I am sure you were nervous as hell but you did great work 👍👏
Actually the rope and chop seemed to stress me out more. The bend, I was a bit more relaxed. 🤷♂️. Thanks for watching!
Congratulations sir
Thanks, Jerry!
Hello! Congratulation! It is nerve-wrecking to see a blade bend like that :-) That feeling to pass that test and also have a blade that is fairly straight is really cool! All the best and good luck!!
Thank you!
I am constantly amazed by the bladesmithers.
Here we saw an apprentice pass his journeyman test and the master smith then asks the newly made journeyman "hey, show us how you make that cool new stuff". And after that's done, they all make some cool Damascus together.
The amount of info and technique sharing is just amazing.
It’s so true! It’s the best community of people I’ve ever been a part of! Everyone wants to give back and help the next guy. Thanks for watching!
Way to go !!!! I think I was gritting my teeth when you started bending the blade LOL. What a great knife you made.
Thanks, Debra! It certainly is stressful doing the bend test!
That was a very nice demo of your skillset Denis. Glad you passed with flying colors, deja vu of the last knife Brother...;-)
Thanks!
Congrats, nice job!!!! Hope all is well, take it easy...
Thanks, Dave!
Congratulations. I guess I will see you in June. I can't wait to see what you bring.
Thanks! Come by and say hi!
Congratulations! Thanks for sharing the rigorous testing requirements with us.
Thanks for watching!
Congrats! Love that the "new guy" got to teach the Masters some tricks!
Thanks, Chris! Yeah I was pretty stoked!
Congrats dude
Thanks!
Congratulations!
Thanks, Sam!
Well done dude.... I can't imagine what it must be like to hang on the end of that bar.... Well done... It will be a moment you will never forget.... Can't wait to see what you get upto next...
Thanks, Dan! It was a bit stressful, but a fun day!
Congrats bro
Thanks, Don!
Congratulations Dennis. Great job and a real nail biter. I got my last coat of refractory on my forge today and will cure it this week. Looking forward to seeing what I can do.
Good luck and have fun!
Congratulations and well done.
Thanks, Christian!
@@TyrellKnifeworks Watching your work,I look forward to seeing more and adding some of your knives to my collection.
Congratulations!!
Thanks, Josh!
HOLY! My jaw hurts from clenching so hard the whole time you were bending to the 90! far out! congratulations!
Thanks! It was stressful for sure!
Awesome, congratulations!
Thanks, Erin!
Congrats again Denis!!
Thanks, Dan!
great job! congrats!
Thanks!
Heck ya man, congrats!
Thanks so much!
That is awesome man...congratulations on your Journeyman Smith rating..watching your knife bend and not break I reassuring...that's the only that scares me..lol...great job man
I don't have the Journeyman rating quite yet. There's still 5 knives I must build and present to a panel of master smiths at Blade show in June. Thanks for watching, Jermoy!
Congratulations, we’ll done ✅, Colin🏴
Thanks, Colin!
Well done!👍🏼. So far, only things I've succeeded in heat treating is my hot cut hardy made from sucker rod and a chisel and punch made from coil spring.
Checkout the heat treating video that’s part of my Beginner Series playlist, that will help you. Thanks for watching, Bill!
Congratulations…. And now for the beauty contest prep!!!
Yup, that prep has already started! Thanks!
Have been looking forward to this.
Thanks for watching, Steven!
Congratulations. Sharing knowledge is an important part of knife making.
Thanks, it was nice to get this rating last month.
Awesome! Congratulations, an amazing accomplishment, indeed. Next stop: Master!
I’m not a Journeyman yet. I still need to make 5 knives to be judged by a panel of master smiths in June. Maybe I’ll try for master by 2025. Thanks for watching!
Congratulations!! Not going to lie, when you did the bend test and the dog barked, i jumped!! 🤣🤣
Haha, yeah it was pretty a cool feeling when it was all done. 👍
Congrats, both on passing the nasty part of the test, and for having your beautiful blade featured in a National magazine! No doubt in my mind you will complete the balance of the JS process with flying colors.
Thanks, Bryson! On to the presentation knives now!
denis big time congrats my friend !!!!!!!! 😁😁👍👍👍 im really happy for you now the fun part making those blades for judging, with the quality of work you do you should pass with no problem. i emailed you some pics of my 1st copper damascus attempt have a great day. Mark
Thanks, Mark! I’ll take a look for those pics!
With your attention to detail, I knew you'd pass this part with flying colors. And we ALL know that your presentation blade will be awe inspiring.
Thanks! The presentation knives will be quite plain though. It’s all about fit and finish so nothing fancy. When I test for Master, then I’ll get fancy! 👍
@@TyrellKnifeworks Still, fit and finish are what separates good bladesmiths from great bladesmiths. I have a couple Todd Begg, and Pat Crawford knives that aren't fancy ( couldn't afford the fancy ones, heh ) but the fit and finish on them are superb. Hopefully one day I'll be able to snag one of your copper damascus blades.
Congratulations! I was holding my breath all through that bend test 😅
You and me both! Thanks for watching!
Congratz on passing the performance portion, good luck on the presentation portion
Thanks! I’ll be working on the first knife today! 👍
Congrats man! :D
Thanks for watching!
Well done, all respect
Thanks!
Congratulations again Denis and thank you for the advice last night. Once things defrost a bit, we are going to give it another go.
Thanks! Any time you need help, let me know. 👍
@@TyrellKnifeworks and the same to you, sir.
Congrats buddy 🙌
Shirknives 😁
Thanks!
I had no doubts that you'll pass the test! Congratulations Denis! It's very cool that you have so many great makers around.. I highly doubt that there is any Mastersmith in Poland or neighbourhood.
Thanks, David! You probably have other organizations in Poland.
@@TyrellKnifeworks Unfortunately I don't- there isn't so many knife makers in Poland.
Here’s something: m.facebook.com/polish.knifemakers/
Or here: pstnibb.pl
@@TyrellKnifeworks Thanks a lot! I know BIG polish knife making forum, but I was thinking about some organization that gives you certificated title. We don't have such a thing :(
I caught myself clapping after the bend. Congratz!
Thanks for your support!
congratulations on becoming a journeyman! keep up the good work!~
