Totally agree, I wanted to wear a face shield just watching it on my computer
I felt myself backing off from my screen during that
that "safety squint" was terrifying
That's not the Master Smith test finished yet, you have to make 5 different knives including a quillion dagger That have to pass a grading by a MS.
Absolutely terrifying, i get anxious watching it
The amount of bladesmithing knowledge in that workshop is immense. So many renown and tallented individuals assembled for such an occasion will remain in your memories for a long time!
When I saw Jason run past the camera in the opening, I was like "wait, is that...?"
And then it was lol. I haven't been that excited since Jason's Halloween party a few years back when Burt Foster was dressed as J Neilson
As someone who is not a maker, but rather appreciates the craft, this was a wonderful video. Congrats to you both for passing, but the interview in the 2nd half of the video was really wonderful. The lessons he talked about apply to far more than knife making. Life lessons like this apply across so many skills and jobs. My favorite video so far of yours, great job Will!

Watching this at work, I held my breath during the bend test, in fear of the worst case scenario. Not only did it survive, but returned straight!!! The audible " O HELL YEAH!!" got me some weird looks from folks in my office that just don't understand.
