I think as you travel from North India to Central India and finally towards the Southern States and Sri Lanka, the food tends to get hotter, spicier and very chatta patta. Food tastes are in tandem with the extreme hot temperatures. But I love eating on banana leaves, have eaten on leaves a lot in Maharashtra.

You cannot make a sweeping statement like Andra food is the best in the South. Your taste could be different from others who would prefer the food of another state; taste being very subjective. I know of people who swear by the food of Kerala or TN - it all depends on the individual.

I love eating tradition food on Bananas leaf. It is tasty to eat with our hand and we can know the temperature of it but in spoon. Poor Christians, west they never had civilization and thus let us teach them, whoever started it first nevertheless it is by human beings of course came from Vedas.
All of us are vedic Santana dharma but they went very far from the mother Land bharat that they find it interesting. They started to open their eyes.
We will come back to our ancient civilization and those who are lefties/ don't approve it will suffer.
Let us see and enjoy and wish them with good appetite.

Banana leaves are packed with plant-based compounds called polyphenols such as epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG, which is also found in green tea. Polyphenols are natural antioxidants that battle free radicals and prevent diseases. While banana leaves are not easy to digest if eaten directly, the food absorbs the polyphenols from the leaves, so that you get the benefit of the nutrition.
It is also believed that the leaf has anti-bacterial properties that kill all the germs in the food, thereby reducing the chances of you falling sick.
