Next time, leave Accra and come to Community 18 Junction by Toyota motors, along Accra-Tema Motorway. Stand by the road side and get a bus to Aflao. It’s cheap and quick. I usually travel from That spot to Lagos in About 12 hours.

Thanks for the upload, Arlin Tv. I enjoyed the video. I am stunned to see that not much has seemed to change in 18 years. I was on this route in March 2005, when I went to Accra Ghana from Nigeria to get my Canadian visa. One difference is that my passport was stamped at every border. I am not sure why your passport is not stamped on your trip. I went by road, though. Could that be the difference? I wasn't nearly as relaxed as you are. I went on that trip twice, and I was nervous on both trips. I was out of my element. With so many people looking to make a quick buck it was difficult to put your guards down. I felt heckled to say the least. But this video does bring back a lot of memories. I will keep checking to see one who did it by road. That will be more reminiscent. It usually takes me about 4 hours to get to Aflao from community 18 block factory Junction in Tema and and in total 11 or 12 hours to arrive Lagos. But if I am driving, it can take only 9 hours.

This is just a great adventure.
However, it is one I would prefer to use my personal car 🚗. I wonder why you opted not to drive.❓ Knowing that you almost criss crossed Nigeria with your car.
I've been told, the hardest part of the journey is crossing into Nigeria at Seme border.
The convoluted bureaucracy that is created by our 9js officials for obvious reasons, may result in a 6hr crossing time.

We actually wanted to drive but since it was our first time we decided to see what the road was like first😁😁
@@ArlinTv It's about 500km from Lagos to Accra, that means barring traffic it should be a 6 hour road trip.
So I should be able to go to Accra for a weekend with friends and drive back without much stress.
But it's I'm sure way more than that.
I hope to find out in the very near future.
@@konukonu6368 barring traffic? 😀 Going forward we should at least dualize all the stretch of road from Abuja/Lagos to Abidjan. And construct a train line along same route, to facilitate trade and services. It's the richest trans west Africa route and should be improved
