- We're kicking off our 2023 Rich Mullins Birthday Bash with our first ever Rich Mullins Movie Night! It's a double feature of the 1986 behind-the-scenes documentary "A Few Good Men", followed by the 1992 concert film "The Concert as Best I Remember It". Then join us immediately afterward for a discussion with the director of both films, John Adkins!

"Live like you'll die tomorrow," one of the greatest concert shirts ever! I'd buy that and wear it today!
Kicking guitar at the outset!!

This is Rich for sure. Always directing the entire operation.
The star of the doggone show!
He looks so young!
GREAT start to the Birthday Bash weekend celebration!! Really enjoyed this … thank you so much! Just came across Ragamuffin Archive a few weeks ago. So appreciate learning of Rich’s authentic effort to follow Jesus. Also appreciate your efforts Joe. Plan to stay tuned all weekend 🥳
Awesome! I’m so glad you found us!!!! Glad you’re enjoying it 😊
Great job John! 👏
Andrew was the one who talked me into going to Window Rock, before I even met him in person, just from FB
Late in joining the chat but I’ve been very much enjoying all of it! Such an awesome gift. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Hi guys! Just catching this now..this is great!
This was great!!! Thanks soo much🙌🏼🎵🎶🎵🙌🏼
I missed the movies, so i will have to watch the replay, but I'm happy to hear the stories!!
I’ve never heard Avenue G before. They’re good!
Rich used to say "be good" as a farewell salutation all the time back in the day.
i would love for them to take the technology from peter jackson used on the new beatles song on the jesus record demos so we can get clean versions of the last demos. love getting to hear his voice and humor on this video again
It’d be cool, but I’m not sure it would translate that well without a lot of work put into it.
He’d say be good and if you can’t Be Gods
Yes! I remembered that right after the interview and I told John on the phone! I believe that’s the last thing that Rich ever said to Mark Robertson ❤
Sometimes I’d roll that saying around in my head when he’d say it and think, is that even right…? Lol. But ironically I started saying it to a non-believer coworker when she tells me of her upcoming weekend exploits. The impact, at least on her, has been significant. It sort of startles her every time and she’ll say, don’t keep saying that.. But then laugh. I know it’s making her think and having an impact
What were the names of the groups in the 2nd film?
The support acts on that tour were Avenue G, Jeff Sack & Jimmy Abegg- the latter of whom went on to form A Ragamuffin Band with Rich, just a year later.
Who is he talking too?
Any one who will listen❤
The interview was with John Adkins, the filmmaker who made both of the concert films we showed tonight 😊
😂
