About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

Hello! I wanted to share with you Terry and Ash my thoughts about your lighting situation in your Grand Salon. I agree with your viewer and Patrick & Stuart, that you should hang two chandeliers, one in each side of the beam which Patrick is right, the reflection from the beautiful mirror would help in light distribution, especially since you plan to add wall sconces as well. As well as possibly being able to see the closest chandelier in the mirror. Just my thoughts ❤
I truly hope that your fan base give Patrick and Stuart a like and subscribe to help them grow their channel "Journey to the Château." They are good friends to have.

It always blows my mind that brocantes have their inventory exposed to the elements and have the audacity to charge a Kings Ransom !!
I am very happy to find Patrick & Stuart here, whom I watch assiduously on their CZcams channel, decorating their beautiful 18th century castle with great taste. They are two absolutely charming people, very pleasant and in a good mood whom I enjoy following, like all those at Château de Lalacelle, whom I also watch with great assiduity.

Terry and Ash, Pleaseeeee dont sand the top of your new wee side (and absolutely gorgeous) side table without try this technique first. Put an old cotton tea towel over the surface of the table face and using a hot iron carefully iron the entire surface continuously. The heat from the iron re-constitutes the finish on the surface and lifts out the stains and water marks. I 've been restoring antiques forever and have used this technique often and with complete success. Patience is needed and if all of the marks don't disappear the first time. Let the tabletop cool for an hour and then do it again. Make sure you don't leave the hot iron sitting on the surface of the table, keep it moving, otherwise it will scorch the surface through the tea towel. All the best. Love your vlogs X

I love your brocante shopping Vlogs; viewing your visual panning of those rooms of beautiful antiques is a form of deep meditation for me. I love Ash & Terry (and Start & Patricks') responses to them too! I become so lost in reverie/contemplation that my stress levels (24/7 carer for aged father) ebb away to nothing. It's so good for the soul. Does anyone else react this way? Please give us more if and when you can!

Might I suggest another museum trick to remove the white ring on the little table top? Seeing as how it’s moisture under the finish, you simply take a towel, cover it and then take an iron (please, not Tracy’s that she uses for ironing clothes) on a low, gentle setting and placing the iron on the towel which is over the water mark, move it around until all of the moisture has evaporated. Good luck.
