I thought she looked beautiful and they both looked happy. Their wedding gave off good vibes to me. Wishing them a lifetime of love.
P,S I thought Eugenie looked pretty
@@tanyachristensen5330Yes to both of your posts . 👍
Was the Princess with her husband?
I don't like the shoes but gorgeous otherwise.
...and lots of spares!
Who says a wedding dress has to be “modern”. She looks lovely.
No one says it has to be modern but it has to look at least good with good fabric and good fit this dress is missing both
@@Sandra63288What a horrid thing to say. Envy must be crushing you.
@@Sandra63288she is the bride and it’s her choice. As long as she’s happy that’s what matters.
Right! It doesn’t have to look “modern”. Sometimes the commentary in this channel is a bit …pedestrian.
Exactly
Olivia looked beautiful. The wind blowing the veil and train around was unfortunate but still she looked lovely! Very elegant and simple.
There was definitely an understated elegance to it! Thanks for watching!!
@@RoyalFashionNews UGH! She looked like a peasant or a gypsy travellor. Hated everything she wore. Her hair was attrocious, the hole at the back tacky.
As for Eugenie....Nipplegate....she wore no bras on purpose to get attention.
The wind blowing only added to the drama of the moment. It was awesome 🤩
The wind blow veil made for some amazing photos
The shoes looked like upmarket slippers .
I think she made thoughtful choices on her outfit. She was trying to make it truly about family and tradition. They look like a qwerky, genuine couple in love!!!
Absolutely. The fact that the bride was tipping her hat to family is fantastic. Your wedding day is for you and yours … not the gawping masses or, with respect, Britney, commentators. But this wedding was always going to attract comment. Even without the presence of Prince William that was inevitable.
Me too
a bride should not be engulfed in the wedding dress fabric!
For me, her dress was a perfect selection of traditional touches combined with modern and heirloom. The shoes were a quirky touch to bring in the blue but way too chunky. Overall, they came across as adorable and classy and sweet at the same time….a couple I’d love to have cocktails with.
What can you say about the gorgeous Prince William!! He hits all the notes for every occasion. But so sad that Princess Catherine can’t be at these special events at the moment. God Bless her.
The flowers of her bouquet came from the garden of her future home. Beautiful, special and meaningful.
I think it’s an elegant 1930s inspired wedding dress with a beautiful scalloped lace boat neck line!
Old money omage, bias cut the star was her tiara and her blue heels. The event was perfection.
She looked happy and lovely but honestly the dress was nothing out of the ordinary. It did not seem to flatter her figure very much. The veil was lovely
The dress fit her perfectly 👍 so beautiful 😍
Took the words right out of my mouth! Not 1950's, its 1930's. I loved it.
Thanks, was wondering if the dress was 30s or 40s. The veil, WOW!
They did the wedding to their own taste not for the fashion world. So much better that the extremely under dressed celebs who feel their only way for attention is to be half naked. What a lovely modest happy bride she was.
I live about 6 miles from Chester so I went in to watch. It was a lovely wedding with some quirky touches. Hugh and his best man arrived in a Landrover Explorer and Olivia and her father were in a borrowed vintage Bentley which looked very 1930 or 1940’s which I think tied in with the look of her dress. She looked fabulous but it was quite a windy day and the fabric was so light it was blowing everywhere. The shoes might have worked better if they had been pale blue instead of dark blue. The bridesmaids were quite boring and those shoes looked hideous. From where I was standing across the road it looked like they were wearing big clunky trainers! Princess Eugenie looked ok but the colour was sort of olive green and rather boring. Natalia, Duchess of Westminster looked fabulous in bright pink outfit but I didn’t like any of the outfits worn by her daughters Lady Edwina, Lady Tamara and Lady Viola. Also, the flowers around the West Door of the Cathedral were beautiful and we could smell them from across the road.
Thank you for the eye-witness reporting!
Yes, thank you.
Thank you very much ! Were they local flowers ?
Chester is beautiful. I'm Irish and went a few times as a child. The buildings are gorgeous. I didn't love the blue shoes but I love that she was quirky enough to chose something that could be judged. Shows that she will hold on to her own taste, and do things her way, knowing her own wishes, despite marrying the number one bachelor blah blah blah!!
Thank you for sharing 😊
Loved the veil, her bouquet, her tiara, and I appreciate the simple elegance of her ring.
Is there a closeup somewhere as it looks so elegantly unusual .
Stunning!
I think the dress was beautiful. Classy and understated. I loved it all except the shoes. They are a beautiful couple.
I love everything and especially the shoes. It is so different from any other woman would wear. Usually, everyone wears white ones
@@Marie-FranceJutras-el9uo. I so agree with you, it was a nice twist in something blue as well.
@@Marie-FranceJutras-el9uo I love everything about her Something blue, the shoes touch of magic
A beautiful blue ribbon bow on the bouquet might be an option.
I felt the same about the shoes until I saw another picture. They are beautiful and not nearly as dark as they first seemed.
Loved everything about the Bride, including the Wind! It’s clear Olivia dressed for herself , as she wanted to portray herself. Wonderful! May their Union be Long & Happy 🌟✨♥️✨♥️✨🌟
The bride looks beautiful in her vintage inspired dress. Gorgeous dress that fits her perfectly. The couple look genuinely happy.
The wedding was very understated, as were the guests. Not showy, so typical of old money. The tiara was to die for.
The new Duchess of Westminster looked absolutely beautiful and happy. Her dress was perfect.
Loved how Olivia looked simplicity and timeless. The shoes although clunky, were kind of a nod to shoes they would have worn a hundred years ago. The veil was stunning. She looked beautiful. Neither of them like to flaunt their wealth, her family is very wealthy as well. They bought flowers for Chester to be planted around downtown for the summer season. They also provided ice cream to anyone who wanted it in keeping with the simplicity of their wedding. Given that most Brits are struggling financially they wanted to keep everything low key. No Marie Antoinette moment in times when people are financially not as well off.
Oh wow I hadn't thought of that re: her shoes. Now it makes sense. The clunky shoes were picked on purpose as that's what people would have worn back then.
The hair is much too severe.
@@evelineyy exactly when they said the veil was from the great grandmother. And honoring her. So the shoes may have been the same thing a nod to her great grandmother.
So update on what I said. Apparently the sleeves and neckline were actually made from lace from the great grandmothers veil, hers was new. The blue shoes were her something blue, and were quirky but apparently reflected her personality in not going for something expected and that would match. She just liked them, and she decided that’s what she wanted. More power to her. I still think it is a nod to the kind of shoe that was worn a hundred years ago. Who cares that people didn’t like them. It’s her day and she did what she wanted.
I loved the blowing veil - showed it dramatically and the dress was glorious.
It’s a beautiful dress. A very classic timeless design.
It is beautiful, elegant dress. All the people here who criticise the dress, the blue shoes , I'm sure Olivia gave it lots of thoughts and this is what she wanted.
I loved the dress, extremely classy, and the '40 style was perfect, she has the perfect face and body shape to rock any style. And the wind in the veil added a playful note. They both had lovely smiles, they look so happy! ❤
I think many of us love the older look. She pulled off the look of classic tradition. The wind was unfortunate, but she never wafered with frustration. Good for her! She looked amazing! Eugenie (while not always a great fan) looked great too!
waivered
No, she looked awful like she always does.
I thought Eugenie looked awful.
Sorry but Eugenie looked frumpy.same body shape as her mother..awful colour and frumpy bustline to it..she needs true colours really...
@@user-ro2vb8by7u Frumpy is the word.
The bride was beautiful! Simplicity personified with vintage vibes! Loved the shoes, they looked vintage and yet comfortable! Looking at the bride, groom, and the bridesmaid I feel transported to an English country wedding from the early to mid 1900’s…so nostalgic! Loved it❤
Agreed! Yes, a vintage vibe. I loved the shoes too. I thought it was a brilliant touch and fun pop of color. A gorgeous dark teal. A safer, pale blue color would have been a bit blah, imho.
I understand that the wind was annoying but it made amazing photos!
Absolutely!
Olivia’s dress was exquisite. The fit was ahem, immaculate. Loved the keyhole cutout back, the silhouette and her hair showed off her beautiful face. Her flowers train and the veil. Given it’s England, the weather is unpredictable and the British are used to it, so all was perfection in my opinion.
Yes, the fit was great!!
I agree. I thought she looked fabulous!
I agree the look is timeless and lovely.
🇺🇸American here Splendid Just spectacular Total agreement with you The movement in the skirt OMG the swoosh just gorgeous..
I've been to Chester in July and it was calm and not windy
It's refreshing to see a bride in a sophisticated classy bridal gown...she looks regal.
And it will look elegant in decades to come. "Fashionable" wedding dresses do not age well! ie Lady Di's
The wedding was intended to be simple. No intention to upstage other Royal weddings. I agree that the shoes was not the best choice though.
Not a royal wedding.
What this couple wanted they have received 💜💫💙
To have outstanding and comfortable shoes. The shoes are the special base of remembrance only those wearing them will remember as the people wonder and the couple wander on....very best 🫶🏻 to you from Massachusetts.
Shoes show the wedding was all about them not bothered what others think, pure family event. If y didn't like everything luckily u weren't invited.
She looks beautiful. The blue shoes were her something blue.
I loved the blue shoes! My guess is that there will be a new trend of British brides wearing blue shoes.
I love Olivia’s tiara. She was a lovely bride.
Olivia's dress was simple but elegant, she looked beautiful. I loved her veil blowing in the wind. He looked very handsome in his tuxedo. Wish them happiness! 💗
Tuxedo? I thought that was American for dinner jacket, worn with bow tie…the gentlemen are wearing morning coats….dark tails with lighter trousers.
Olivia chose what she wanted and what she was comfortable with. They can afford anything but they wanted it low key. The Duke is a big supporter of the local community a lovely couple.
a bride should not be engulfed in the wedding dress fabric!
I think Olivia had a sleek, lovely 1940’s classic look with small points of interest in the keyhole back, lacy mid length cuffs and nice scalloped neckline. I agree understated, but she is so lovely, she made the dress fit the occasion. I thought only her side swept hair framing the forehead a little severe, but the back and top of her head, the hair was intriguing and gorgeous. She is a elegant, dainty woman with a very pretty face. And English Rose!
I enjoyed the run down of all those dresses from black tie occasions, party and cocktail looks, daily wear, to the beach wear. Thanks for sharing your choices. Some great looks I would wear. 👍🥰💗💗
I have mixed feelings about the dress too. There were elements that I liked, but others I didn't, but overall it was elegant and classic, which makes it a good bridal look. The veil was exquisite.
Her dress was absilutely gorgeous. 100% better than Markle's.
I think some of the criticisms were a little confusing and it looks like everyone agrees that the bride looked gorgeous and everyone loved everything about what she wore and how she looked.
Her dress was of a classical style she looked so beautiful
I loved Olivia's dress ! Very well fitted, inspirated by the late 1920's, elegant, modest, delicate... just perfection. I love a modest and elegant bride, you shouln't show a lot of skin on your wedding day, especially if you wed in a church, that is not done. And I love the detail of the blue shoes ! That shows that Olivia is attached to traditions but very original and inovative in her own way !
Agree, a Bride "shouln't show a lot of skin on your wedding day, especially if you wed in a church." The open-back was a bit much and would have been better with a sheer covering cosidering that he veil was so timeless!
I really loved the dress and veil. It was a sweetness to include the past ladies of her family.
I think she looked beautiful she obviously wanted the 40’ s 50’ look the look is timeless. A dedication to her grandmother.
ACCOMPLISHED ❤

a bride should not be engulfed in the wedding dress fabric!
Lovely royal wedding wish the Duke of Westminster and his new bride great happiness.
It was not a royal wedding. He’s not royal. He’s aristocrat. It was an aristocracy wedding.
I absolutely LOVED her ENTIRE LOOK.❤❤❤
The bride looked beautiful! The dress was classic English elegance, the velvet shoes were fun, and the veil was a lovely sentimental nod to her family.
Beautiful. She achieved the sleek, minimalist elegance that MM thought she'd achieved. It has an old-hollywood glamour to it
Is there a day that you Meghan haters don't obsess over her?
@@belladolce998My goodness, it’s perfectly reasonably to compare duchess dresses and she isn’t wrong. If it were up to you, you’d elevate Megan to sainthood, wouldn’t you? Chill
@@ladythalia227 it's not reasonable at all to belittle one and elevate another. Meghan is no Saint but she's better than her haters cause unlike her haters, she doesn't go about attacking people she doesn't know and have never met. Both brides were beautiful on their wedding day so there's no comparison.
At first sight, I was very underwhelmed with Meghans dress. But to he honest - as time passes I like the dress. The minimalistic style is perfect for her, even as there are some issues with the fit of the dress. I did like her appearance: the (messy) dutt, the tiara and the veil. She was true to herself. But she could gavw chisen any dress - the haters would be still there. As for Miss Hensons dress: it looks like a nightgown ( the lace and the satin) with a very out of place hole in the back. The veil was fantastic though
I loved the whole look 👀 the shoes were a bit of cheeky fun 🤩 loved the classic, traditional style that I think of as emblematic of Great Britain 🇬🇧 the dress was flowy not heavy as satin wedding dresses tend to be and the lace is traditional elegance. What a lovely couple. I hope they enjoy many years of marital bliss ❤🎉 Bravo 👏🏼
I was thinking the same about shoes, it like she wanted to add some fun
@@marileearsenault4749Maybe that is it or perhaps they hark back to her great great grandmother’s time ?
William said that George wasn't there because it was a school day.
She looked timeless. The Grosvenors are a genuine philanthropic family. I think had it not been windy we would get a better prospective. In England you are not "allowed" to miss a school day. Can't be seen to flout the rules!
Even in private schools and even for a couple of days ?
Yes the same. Plus Royals would not want to go against rules everyone gas to abide.
@@BlackStump172 not sure they'd be fined for one day but agree, the pressure would be to not be seen to flout the rules. george's picture would have been everywhere, on a school day. An unknown family could take their child out of private school for ONE day.
I love the wedding dress. I think it is gorgeous. That veil!💚💚💚
I liked all about her dress and that veil was so beautiful. She is so beautiful and I pray they have a great and happy live together. Now, her father is so handsome and looks so happy. The groom is so handsome and looks so comfortable and compassionate. This is the best wedding this year.
The wind added contrast. She just went with it. Love it! Congratulations to you both ❤
🇬🇧 I think that they will have a very Happy marriage. They seem well suited, especially as Olivia seems very classy in the understated English rose way .
LOVE the dress and the veil bliwing in the wind was wonderful.
She looked absolutely gorgeous! The wind carrying that material added and extra level to the look!
Beautiful couple. She looked like an Angel. Congrats to them both.❤️❤️
Loved the way the wind was blowing her veil around. Exquisite
Nobody was there to help with the veil in the wind????
I actually loved the dress and the veil. They did have a very classic look. I think yes they are very wealthy, but they are down to earth. That is what I like about them both so much. I didn’t like the blue shoes either but to each their own. The bouquet of flowers she was holding were so beautiful! My big sister made my bouquet for my wedding and 17 years later I still have it. The joys of artificial flowers. She put a lady bug 🐞 on it because my mom loved them and my daddy always called her his lady big. It made me feel like they were both there with me. My wedding cost at most was $1000.00. I didn’t go overboard with it and put me and my husband into debt for one special day.
Her father was so proud. Smiling ear to ear. It was so sweet.
I'm sure he was. His daughter just signed a billion-dollar deal.
I love it when brides do quirky things like wearing big clunky blue shoes. Weddings are so personal, who knows what the thinking is behind it. She looked wonderful and they look very happy together.
What a handsome couple! Love their smiles
You look fabulous in that fascinator and your royal blue dress Brittany!
Why thank you!!
I second that. The fascinator is beautiful and looks Ab Fab on you! Love the dress too!
I think you would take your look up a notch with your hair up wearing a fascinator. The big hair and the headpiece are jostling for attention. Just my opinion, like your opinion on the bride. Don’t take offence.
She looks classic. The dress is simply elegant. Love it!❤
She looks so chaste and understated, shiney and glowing! She wears the dress not the other way round. Perfect bride and at least it fits her!
I was so hoping you’d talk about the bridesmaid dresses and the shoes!! What the heck? Those shoes 🤦🏻♀️!
Harry and Meghan weren't invited to Hugh and Olivia's wedding, yet the press gave all sorts of reasons as to why they couldn't attend having been invited. We all know about Meghan being trouble at weddings trying to make it all about her, like at Princess Eugenie's wedding with her fictitious pregnancy claim.😂

The dress was a classic 1930s/1940s style dress. Understated elegance. She's so beautiful she would suit any style. I loved the veil, the unexpected keyhole back and I personally loved the unexpected blue velvet shoes. I've been to so many weddings where the bride was cookie cutter same as last wedding, so I personally love that the new Duchess has shown some personality and done her own thing, whilst staying elegant. Perfect 👌
The pictures of the veil in the wind were stunning ❤
The Tiara was allowed to shine ✨️
Unfortunately the keyhole back was very out of place, it ruined the whole look. It seems the bride coukdnt decide whether she wants a modern or a classic look. I love bridal gowns with a twist, but this was a complete miss
Well it was very understated but somehow the simplicity actually seemed to shine for them. It was not a show off wedding but the love and happiness on both their faces is in the end the main thing. May this marriage be truly blessed and a forever love story.
I think the wedding dress look fabulous and the wind added some ethereal beauty to the wedding and her navy shoes matching the piping and shoes of the flowers girls . Loved how genuine and happy the Duke and Duchess of Westminster looked.
I love the way the wind picked up the veil.
Olivia looked like a princess. Beautiful ❤❤❤
The continuity of her gown (not dress) went extremely well with the veil. It was thought out beautifully.
Beautiful couple! It’s so wonderful to see a couple in love at their wedding. It’s been a long time since we last saw PC and PW on their wedding day! So seeing these two happy ! Love she included her grandmother’s history of her veil. I love her understated look. It’s especially beautiful when she was photographed with her bouquet. He looked so happy and well dressed too! Thank goodness their wedding went off perfectly in spite of those two ladies trying to disrupt.
Her tiara was lovely and her ring is understated but beautiful.
I’m not a big fan of the keyhole cut because it’s never properly fitted. Her dress was fitted well but anyone’s posture can easily make it seem poorly fitted
It’s a lovely look overall! And she definitely doesn’t seem to have a big head over her new life. Thanks for watching!!

Such a good video! I loved Olivia’s dress. I feel like they purposely didn’t want to be show-y, and I love that! They look like lovely people.
I like the dress it's beautiful and so is the bride.
The shoes seemed sensible with a more supportive heel and softer material. It was refreshing to see a more comfortable shoe on a bride
Lucky girl wishing them all the best.
A very English wedding - beautiful!🧡💚💛🦘
Her dad is very handsome ! 😍
She handled the unruly wind beautifully.
Hopefully, they will have a long and happy marriage
I loved the whole look. A beautiful dress, stunning veil and such a good idea with the shoes. The tiara is one of the nicest I’ve seen.
What a beautiful wedding. Olivia's wedding dress is beautiful and regal
Eugenie was at school at Marlborough with Olivia which presumably explains why she was invited. For me, it’s so obvious that she and Hugh are very happy. I am a fan of their understated approach. Although this was a very big wedding, it could have been considerably grander. Not being royal allows them to carve their own path which I think means low key in their case.
Olivia was wise with the hairstyle. Imagine her long hair flying all over the place as well!
She needs a haircut. She's already too old for that super long old-fashioned style.
I thought her veil blowing in the wind was lovely
I loved the dress, it suited her.
The new Duchess of Westminster look beautiful and her dress is gorgeous with the veil and leaf tiara.
I love her dress and tiara! Beautiful couple 😊💐
Their wedding , their style & imo it’s fabulous.
I often wonder how other brides would feel being torn apart to make a you tube video!
I love her uniqueness & acknowledging her family history ❤️❤️
She looks fabulous. She's honouring family history from another century. No offence but I don't think Americans can grasp the importance of centuries of family history and tradition.
I'm not too fond of the cut out back of the dress but overall, it's absolutely lovely. It's simple, it's elegant and it isn't dated at all. I love the veil and tiara - Faberge didn't make too many tiaras, and the Westminster's own two of them - this one and the cyclamen tiara which is very tall. I really love the bouquet. I am a huge fan of casual wildflower bouquets. The shoes are quirky and I like them. May they have a very happy marriage.
I thought she looked great. A definitely a very elegant look. For me elegance and understatement go together. Just my French opinion. She also has a very endearing smile.
IMO i really respect Olivia's choice of wedding attire ..its Her day & i really love the fact that her dress was simple & had alot if Meaning to Her! ..she coudve gone the other way & be ostentatious but she didnt:)...to me it speaks of her love of family & being down to earth .to me she looked Beautiful & Happy so I wish the couple the very best!!!

My friend from Greece always said that it’s unlucky to wear black for a wedding, and that has always stuck with me. So, no. No black for a wedding.
Well, in Greek Cyprus black is worn without comment.
But how is that relevant an aristocratic wedding in the countryside of England where none of the bridal party have any Greek origin ?🤔
@BlackStump172 william does. I was pointing out that in Greek Cyprus black is acceptable. Anyway in mainland Greece the widows wear black and they go to weddings! The shoes weren't black either. They were navy blue.
Black is for funerals, not weddings. Weddings are supposed to be joyful and happy occasions so wearing black to one comes off like the wearer is upset about the wedding or trying too hard to be sexy in the wrong venue. Wearing black is just another subtle sign of not being from the better classes but nobody is going to freak out about it anymore.
Out of the park. The scalloped look around the neck was gorgeous along with scallop in back around keyhole. It's like she, being the present gorgeous delicate English bride and keyhole in back, was framed of history for those who came before mother and grandmother. Something in that line of sincere thought to Mothers who bring the children into the world.
Footwear. Never saw Midnight blue. Unusual Shoes are the opposite of Standard Wedding Slippers.
In my opinion, they are referring to their timeless history that the families created being them!
Moving ahead together in their new life shows historical English foundation of strong Shoes with twisting of elegant sheer veil to the modern world.
I wish this stunning couple the Duke and Duchess of Westminster a life of faith, health, and love.
This day will be remembered for me as two beloved royals, Prince Harry and Princess Catherine, were not there as they should have been; absolutely heartbreaking in our world. DIVINE MERCY ❤
Those pics with veil blowing in the wind look great! ❤❤❤
You look lovely Brittany. I thought Olivia looked beautiful. I loved the cut of the dress; the neckline was perfect. The tiara and veil were gorgeous. The wind, which was brutal, created incredible moments and photos. Interesting shoe choice. Just stunning!
It did!! The wind seemed the frustrate her but the movement of it was lovely. Thanks for watching!!
Wrong, this was not the wedding of the year in the UK, it was the wedding of the decade, forget the "spectacle" of Harry and his wife that was given with lovely intent and thrown into the faces of those who paid for it (British public) good luck to this bride n groom.

I liked her dress but i did not like the flower girl dresses. I thought they were boring and clunky but as long as the bride was happy, that is all that matters
I saw their legs and shoes , not dress and heads . Awful .
Brides who are unsure of their taste often think that "simple" means elegant, and they are often wrong. Those flower girl outfits reek of insecurity. And those little girls should have had on stockings for a formal wedding in a church! Kate does know a thing or two.

The bride = I loved the dress, veil, tiara and earrings. Very classic, verry tasteful. l loved the satin fabric (reminds me of Fay Wray in King Kong), especially because the dress was tailored to her perfectly. Didn't love the shoes, either.
HRH The Prince of Wales = perfect, as always
HRH Princess Eugenie = agreed, the undergarments didn't quite do it for her
I loved Olivia’s look.
Loved the elegance of this beautiful wedding. The bride looked stunning. FYI “Grosvenor” is pronounced “Grove-nor”, the “s” is silent….
Eugenie needed a much more formidable bra for the sweater top
She has big boobs like me and I always wear a bra with wide straps so that they do not droop .
Think Olivia's wedding dress was beautiful couldn't fault, also that the bridesmaid's dresses were amazing, that the velvet shoes were lovely.
I absolutely adore her dress. I love the classic silhouette, scalloped neckline, 3/4 length sleeves and especially love the keyhole back. It is LOVELY! Obviously I dont know her personally, but it seems to really fit her dainty, petit self. I like the idea of wearing blue shoes too- maybe slightly too dark, but a fun idea! 🤍
You can tell that Prince William did not want to take any of the limelight whatsoever... which is thoughtful of him. I think this is why none of his immediate family attended as well.
Love the pic when the veil billows in the wind. So dramatic. They both looked classic and classy.
The Hobbs Cavern MIDI that’s blue with the floral print would look spectacular of Princess Beatrice or Princess/ Lady Louise. That mid tone blue is gorgeous!
