Then came such hits with Mike + the Mechanics, ‘Silent Running’ and the GRAMMY-nominated 'The Living Years' and 'Over My Shoulder'.
How many of you actually know the Eagles hit song ‘Love Will Keep Us Alive’, was co-written by Paul Carrack and won the ASCAP award for Song of the Year in 1995.
He is as an in-demand collaborator, Paul’s decades of distinction include sessions with The Smiths, Elton John, Roxy Music, B.B. King and countless others, culminating in an invitation from Eric Clapton to join his touring band.

Brilliant interview! Paul Carrack is one of my all time favorites singers, songwriters, musicians and humans. "Don't Wait Too Long" is now one of my go to albums and has to be a Grammy winner. You mention that it has a "vintage sound" and I understand what you mean but I would add that it is also extremely fresh, brilliantly arranged and recorded and IMHO is basically timeless and will be listened to decades from now and be as fresh sounding in the future as it is today. No gimmicks, no tricks, just pure talent captured by state of the art technology and musicians and and singers who put their heart and soul into every note. Bravo!
