Which sloping lie do you find the hardest? Comment down below!👇
Below feet for me. Thanks for this⛳🏌️♂️🇦🇺✌
Above my feet.
Ball below your feet, long iron to the green and trying to swing firm, to get there. Like a 4 or 5 iron. Ive hit alot of thin shots or sometimes I pull it because of the big fade its going to produce.
Below my feet. I tend to lose my balance and not get good ball contact. Your tip to use a wider stance should help me maintain balance while keeping a good swing tempo. Thank you.
At 6'6" tall with long longs and not so long arms, ball below my feet. Good lesson! Next lesson that would be helpful for me is long fairway bunkers.
I find the flat slope the most difficult ... because it doesn't provide any excuses 😊
Agree with Andy that the second one is the hardest. This was a lesson I’ve never been taught and have desperately needed. Great job making it easy to understand for all range of golfers.
This helps alot the local course near me is challenging because of the different slopes.
Always love the editing. It definitely helps your explanations of what is going on.
I think having a gameplan is the most important course of action. Just understanding the intricacies of each shot, memorize, and stick to your gameplan. That gives you the best chance. Thanks for providing a gameplan for us!!
i have a handicap of 26 and i've been struggling with those pesky ball below and above shots for so long and never figured out why since i live in a small town in iceland and don't really have access to a coach, just watched this and my mind was blown :D definitely trying this out tomorrow. Thanks
Watched how to break 90 vid before every round for the last month. Never broke 90 ever, and shot 85 today!! I'm so excited, thank you guys so much.
Last week I was scrolling through all your videos looking for tips on these topics. Thank you for posting this!
Great. Hope they help.
Get out of my head! Everytime I want to work on a particular part of my game the dynamic duo comes out with the video. 💪👍Thanks.
Which ones your favorite
Great video. Hardest for me is the downslope and ball below the feet. Well done again guys ⛳️🏌️♂️👍
So helpful for my next golf game! Thanks a lot
This was a much needed video for me I’ve really been struggling with ball below and above my feet
Great George. Hope this comes in useful
Ball below my feet by far is the hardest shot on the course. I love you guys, your instructional videos have made me a better player. So much, in fact, that my usual 4some has notice and has started asking me for advice. I just tell them what you told me :-). Cheers boys and keep up the great work.
Glad they help Dan. Keep it simple.👍🏻
Beautifully explained guys. Playing mainly round the Welsh valleys level ground is a rarity, so thanks for this.
Thanks Chris. Yes lots of these to contend with
This is gold. Thank you 😊
I definitely struggle most with a golf ball lying below my feet. Thanks for the awesome tips. Taking them to the practice facilities today!
Great Luc. Hope they help
Thanks, guys. I always learn at least one new thing in each of your videos.
Thanks John. Glad these are useful.
Excellent! Thanks!
great stuff you guys.. thanks!
Many many thanks guys. excellent stuff. Need HELP. Can you take us through how to play from vert lose find sand. i play at Arabian Ranches in Dubai, where most of the rough is very very fine sand and deep. very difficult to get proper footing. i have seen most golfers hitting behind the ball as in back swing maybe you tend to go lower in Sand
Tthis is a really usefull video. Thanks a lot!!
great video. part of the game i struggle with the uphill lie always catching the ground first
Thanks John. Hope this helps.
On my index 1 hole. Slightly downhill, from a edge of the tank and over it, with 160 yards to the middle of an elevated green.
Really Enjoyed that video gentlemen! Thanks very much
Thanks Daniel. Hope this is useful.
Great video. Cheers mates.
Recovering from back surgery, only can walk and watch videos, thanks for posting.
Question: ball position on different lies ?
I’ll be back 01/01/2021!!!
Speedy recovering
Downhill - back a little/ Uphill - slightly back could help/ Ball above - usual/ ball below - usual. Hope you recover fast Robert
your videos are always so helpful
I had a ball below my feet lie this past Wednesday. Sliced it straight out of bounds because I was aiming at the pin... Thank you for this advice! I can never hit these and now I have a better idea!
Hope this helps next time Brady.
You record the first shot twice, but the video is still excellent!!!!
I understand all the concepts here, they make perfect sense! However when I'm playing and the ball is above my feet and I play for the Draw my ball always hangs out rt exactly where I aim?! I don't get it??10hcp
Great! Thanks, gents.
I have a really hard time with my downswing, I push to hard with my right hand and I chicken wing with my left arm in the follow through, I would love it if you all could give some tips.
I confront all of these on the tee decks at my course.
So helpful. I also have a question for you guys, a little different but about golf balls.
I've researched a bit and looked at different types of balls (1 piece, 2 piece etc etc) and what they do but it would be great to get your guys expertise on this as well. As a 8ish handicapper I use a 3 piece but is that right ? I think this could be interesting to a number of people 😊
1. What do the different number of pieces do
2. Soft or hard, which one should I choose ?
3. Should I use a certain number of pieces for my handicap (higher less and lower more)
4. Should I stick with one ball type and make or is it okay to change often (a guess is to stick with one brand and type
5. Is there a difference in brands? I see Titleist and Taylor made used on tour but these are the 5 piece and hella expensive (especially for the amount of water here in Florida 🤣)
I'm sure there are other things to consider but I do not know.
Great info gents! Probably some of the hardest shots to explain to amateur golfers!
Definitely comes with experience too.👍🏻
@@meandmygolf. Crap there are time I still feel lost at a +4!!
Downhill by far. I make the adjustments just like you said and still hit behind the ball!!!
Great video
It blows my mind how few videos deal with this because it is such a huge challenge
Ball above the feet: is a good idea to slightly open the face with your grip?
I forgot to mention in my earlier post. How would you hit fairway wood off a downhill lie?
Thanks guys for addressing my earlier request to make video and tips for hitting these kind of tough lies.. Awesome Awesome..and unique video .. I didn’t find any such out there and was looking for it.. 😀.. if I may request if you can make video which I am really interested is how to aim and position your self and club facing for dog left and dog right pars shots.. ? Thanks in advance 👍😊
Thanks for the suggestion Mohammed.
Thank you 🙏😊
Would you put ball position in the same for all shots as you would on flat lies?
Ball above is the one I struggle most with as my natural miss is left
Hi Piers and Andy = who is your tip to win US PGA? I was thinking Ricky Fowler
Awesome video, and when you forget one of those variables, golf ball will let you know it.
It certainly will Jamie.
ball below the feet is def the hardest, those ones where you are in a tourney and find your. alll just trickling into a bunker and you end up standing out of the bunker two feet above the ball lol , another one that i find difficult is the full wedge shot when it’s below your feet on a hill.
below feet i tend to pull it to the right (left handed player)
What kind / brand of golf bag are you using in this video?
Definitely, ball-below-feet is the hardest for me.
How about ball position in between the feet?
As a left handed golfer (not that it really matters) The big thing that I struggle with is a severe ball above lie. The courses in my area are all on moutains or foothills so I run into it frequently. It feels closer to a baseball swing and I either pull it hard or mishit over the top. Its just a miserable shot for me
where is that bag from with the little legs? great vid as well, ball below always the hardest
From TarlorMade Derek. Great little bag.
The ball below the feet for me is more difficult, because you have to keep your hands low to get a good connection.
With the ball below the feet, I've always wondered why the bend isn't at the hips. Surely that's easier to maintain posture like this than it is by increasing the knee bend? By the way, great video.
That depends on the flexibility and make up of the person Bryan. It';s just finding what is best for you.
Great video, guys. However, the audio is extremely low (I have to turn my speakers all the way up and it's still very low) and there were 8 ads that played during an 11 minute video... very distracting. Not to mention that the ads BLARE out of my speakers since I have them turned up so high for the video. Still a thumbs up for the content, but wanted to let you know.
This is the second time you all upload a video with the exact thing I had the most issues with in my last round. The first was chipping around the greens and keeping the club more vertical with the heel up... I tried that yesterday, but I don't practice like at all, so I didn't have much luck in those shots. My main struggle is everything after the tee. Even if I'm in the fairway, my mid-long iron and wood games are atrocious. I'm always topping it, hitting behind the ball, or just making it skid up the fairway about 50 yards. But this video should make a big difference for the course I've been playing recently, for there isn't a single flat spot in any fairway.
I've never played on a really well maintained course so I'm incredibly curious to know if I'd do better by default by playing on a course like the Astbury (I didn't know how it was spelled so I spelled it like it sounds when you all say it and ended up with Asprie... I was way off).
Hmm... actually, that "first vid" I mentioned wasn't from you all... it was ChrisRyanGolf who made that video about standing closer to the ball, raising the heel up so it doesn't dig in. I just looked for the vid and couldn't find it on your channel... now I know why!
Do you use the same principles around the greens because my swing is different depending on if I want a low or high shot ?
Yes you can definitely apply this to around the greens you just won't have the cure to the shot.
How would you hit a fairway wood off of an upslope, I assume that you wouldn’t hit it like an iron, would you follow the gradient to sweep the ball off the turf?
Somewhere in between would be a good idea Stuart.
Hi guys any advice or help you can give me, when I play the ball above feet And aim out right to allow ball to move to left etc but some times it goes straight right without any movement would this be a fault of a push shot ? And it counter reacts with the slope
Hi Neils. This can happen too yes, it just means your club face is a little open. If it happens consistently you may not to aim as far left.
Meandmygolf ok thanks guys
Omg "left side of the green" straight into the bunker😂 3:06!
Ball below my feet is my nemesis. I never have any issues with any of the other lies but almost always skull the ball with it below my feet because I have a tendency to stand more upright forgetting to flex my knees more.
Don't look at it or say it's your nemesis. You just need a little work at it. Hope this is useful
@@meandmygolf. OH it's definitely useful! It's just unfortunately not something easily recreatable to practice. I'm actually in the process of talking to the pro at my home course to see when the best time for me to be able to go out on one of the wholes where this lie is frequent and just practice it until it's drilled it.
Great information on this video but the inconsistent volume levels are distracting to say the least...
Ball below my feet is toughest. Need to stay down and not lift up on the shot. Any upward movement is a killer
Yes definitely a tricky one Tony.
What the tip for club selection on uphill lies?
Hit a lower number club depending on the severity
How about downhill with ball below, and uphill with ball above combos?
Hi Robert. That just will add to it producing more of the same.
@@meandmygolf. yeah I suppose but those sloping down and away are tricky, like Justin downhill sloping bunker shot. Not easy. Always top it or thin it. I will work on your techniques
Thanks
Definitely hardest to hit one below your feet.
I find the ball below really tough
Down slope to a short side green shot... hopefully I'll stop putting myself in that situation.
The shot I hate is severe upslope together with ball above feet - almost guarantees a massive hook for me.
How about doing all those shots in the ruff those are hard to play right
You would just need to add in a little steepness but either moving the ball back or weight favouring the lead leg.
Ball below is absolutely the hardest
Aggressive above your feet... I struggle to trust aiming right. But I know it's going move left. 😔😂
ball below
Definitely ball below. Hard not to cut across the ball and judge how far left to aim, also, hard for a tall guy to stay over the ball
Above the feet for me......although the one depicted in this video wouldn't be that hard
Ball above. Hard.
I was taught downhill lie would play the ball back in your stance. No?
You can do that a little yes.👍🏻
Ball above feet
Ball above the feet
"left side of the green? ... yeah just" as the ball goes into the bunker LOL
Cant find this video on paid website, why is that?
Hi Peter. Hope you are well. This are on the website. If you go in to Video Vaults then select "on course" you will find "trouble shots and sloping lies" in there.
Great stuff guys but Four ads interrupting the content is distracting
Get an adblocker and you wont see any at all.Plenty out there.
Thanks for the feedback Ed. Didn't realise that this is the case. Will take a look at it.
Ball below your feet. Its so easy to top it.
Definitely ball below feet
Below feet in a bunker, when u maybe need to stand outside it
I’ve found widen stance more thus allows you to get lower
First
I forgot this channel existed
Hope this helps Evan
I've been a subscriber for 4 or 5 years, your videos just never pop up in my feed. Glad I found you guys again!
Uphill or downhill, weight on the left foot. That's the moral of the story, right?
Yes that's right👍🏻
*The audio always sucks on this channel!* out... c ya
What is the issue with the audio?
can you stop dressing the same
