Hello Brian, I appreciate this insightful interview with Michael Meade. To despair to the point of suicide over the condition of the culture is such a disservice to the soul. These times will never affirm one's value to the overall scheme of one's existence. Today, both society and nature have been wounded and suffering decline. I have chosen to connect as closely to nature as possible and leave society at large to itself. I have never and will never board the train of Face Book or similar platforms. Their minuses far outweigh their pluses for me. My career background was high tech and it became apparent by the mid 70s that it is a two edged sword. Use it loosely and mindfully, as one might approach something that can change you radically. It reminds me of my delving into Hatha Yoga. The first phases of Hatha Yoga have been helpful an illuminating for me, however, the end stages are capable of sweeping one right out of this universe!💫.
I prefer to stay grounded somewhere in the middle or in a fashion that allows one to "return" to middle ground.
Every individual needs to find themselves in a soulful/spiritual manner. Usually the LAST person one wants to get to know, is themselves. It can be a vast undertaking and therein lies the value of your Pod Casts. A valid undertaking of the internet. 2021 will be an interesting challenge for this planet ~ Diane

I love this share Diane. I can relate quite a lot, and I'm happy you think I'm making good use of the Internet. That's my intention, and it's always affirming when I get responses like yours. I hope to inspire and share some wisdom that might help others lift themselves out of despair. I also agree that FarceBook and the lot are soul-sucking entities and I try to remain dis-enchanted while using them to feed the collective soul.

This is a very high level and important conversation. There is no talking down to us. Food for thought. I'm surprised the young man could respond so fluently and gracefully. where are the mentorship programs?

Imelda Pear thank you...I’m 45 years young but have been learning from mentors like Michael since my teens. I’m starting to mentor young men now...we are out there, quietly doing our part.
