I'd love to see you do a video on more mushrooms, especially enoki, wood ear, matsutake, etc. I tend to use those a lot because I grew up with a lot of Korean and Japanese food. They pack so much more flavor. But Iove any mushroom I can get and never think about the nutrition.

My favourite is porcini mushrooms because they are the most common here in Czech Republic. In the end of summer and in fall people go collect mushrooms on their own. You cant really buy mushrooms except white mushrooms at grocery stores here. You just dry the collected mushrooms and use them all year around :)

    • @CleanandDeliciousDani

Your video is very timely! I just picked up a few cases (13 lbs) of the mushrooms you talked about. I am dehydrating some and sending them to my daughter in Houston Tx. I purchased them from The Woodlands at Phillips Farm in Kennett Square PA. You should visit the Woodlands if you are in the area... it was my first time there, at it is a very cute retail store, and mushrooms are inexpensive. Thanks for great info!

I love mushrooms, but I have to admit I have not been very adventurous in trying different types. Usually I use the white mushroom, which I can't help but munch on raw while chopping them for stew or spaghetti or whatever I am cooking. Also, I use them raw in salads. You have given me a push to trying out some other kinds now. Thanks for the 101!

I love mushrooms but worry a little about the cleanliness. Wiping them off doesn't seem to me to be really clean but they do get water-logged if you try to wash them.
I especially love sliced crimini's. They're just the right size for dipping like a potato chip into some nice dressing. But again, how the heck do you clean sliced mushrooms!
Great video Dani. Gonna check out your soup recipe now.

If you have a whole mushroom, stores sell brushes to wash mushrooms or you could use a clean brush such as a NEW toothbrush. You can rinse them under cool water and gently wipe off the dirt with the brush then dry them

I admire what Raw Kristina can do, I really do. But I am not sure where she gets the ideology to *never* cook anything or to never using a teaspoon of honey once in awhile instead of using those god damn frozen bananas and persimmons in every single recipe. Or instead of using raw almonds and make almond flour to actually make a texture of something I don't know SOLID? Lol. I get she raw, its a lifestyle its her choice but I don't understand why...will teaspoon of honey once in awhile kill you? This is why I like Dani, THE PERFECT MEDIUM.
