- In this video we unbox seven retro Matchbox boats. These are now 25 years old and have aged very well - from the paint quality and casting detail, moving parts and accessories, these mainlines have definitley withstood the test of time.

64Wheels, another amazing video please keep up with the fantastic content. We've agreed on this before but it's disappointing how diecast models have regressed rather than improved with time. Basic mainlines with moving parts and trailer attachments that actually detach.
Thanks! It’s interesting to compare mainlines nowadays to these because you can really see how much the design and market has changed. The good news for now is that these older castings are still pretty affordable, so we all better stock up why we can ha!
Can't wait for the trains. I have one of the original green "rail freight" marked deisel engines, the earliest official version after prototypes.

Great video!!! I have some of these. Im gonna date myself but i remember picking some of these up when they first came out in the late 90s. They put a ton of detail in them like you said. There was also a really cool atv and snowmobile both with figures. No, sorry they don't come off, theyre molded in. 😂😂🤣. I really like the throwback thursdays, keep it going! Good luck hunting!🚕🛻🚗🚙
Yes! I actually have the snowmobile, dirt bike, and ATV for one of the next throwback videos too lol! They are so rad - I wish they made more stuff like that nowadays.

The opening part on the sea rescue boat was a lifeboat storage, idk it looked like lifeboats to me.
Can you explain that one a little more? It doesn’t look like any lifeboats I’ve seen. Like are they inflatable and being stored there?

I haven’t tried to see if any of them float but I believe a few of them will bc they are plastic bottom which those types usually float.
