Washington D.C was founded on July 16 , 1790 and is the capital city and federal district of the United States of America. The crack epidemic during the 1980s and 1990s devastated many neighborhoods in the city. In 1991 Washington D.C recorded 483 homicides and became known as the murder capital of the United States. The city is doing much better now and has experienced major gentrification but still remains as one of the most dangerous places in America. Let’s take a drive and check it out.
