Couldn't sleep, in bed all day after surgery lately, and feeling a little low. Along comes Anderton's a half a world away from my 4;40AM self here on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and smiles abound and I feel like dancing. This old man thanks you all.

I can remember in the '70s stating that all I needed was my Fender Champ, a cable and a guitar. and pedals were for poseurs. Now my wife won't venture into the studio because she's worried she'll step on something, a little light will go on and the room will be engulfed in feedback and the room temperature will climb to 100 degrees.

After watching your video on this I started to really search the internet and finally found one left and available far away in Downunder Australia. So I purchased it, payed all the Customs and Tax and had it shipped to my house in Germany. It has arrived today (29Dec) and sounds amazing at first test drive ;) Definitely worth the extramile (well a few thousand extramiles)

Schecter MV-6 was my fav. Love it! A real sleeper product. That’s OK it just makes mine feel more special.
I used to have a PRS Core DGT Goldtop and sold it for £1100 😭. Still regret that a lot. I now have a PRS SE Standard 24-08 and a PRS SE McCarty 594 Single cut. Both great to play and both bought from Andertons. I'd love a cross between the two - basically a 24-08 with a hard tail bridge.

Spark Go is 2023 winner. I used every day on my bench as a test and go. It’s the best for that!!
Be interesting to see your choices vs. what sold the best after release! As for May, my choice would have to be the Boss SDE-3000, which was barely mentioned, combining to old rack mounts into a single pedal, with so much you can do with it, has to be the winner!

The fidelity of the UAFX Lion versus the versatility of the Boss IR-2 is the sort of choice players will need to make for a while. I bought the UAFX Dream '65 one week before Boss introduced the IR-2. After selling some gear, I went with the UAFX Ruby also. No regrets having two spot-on emulations instead of 11 amp models that are entirely usable but not necessarily accurate to a reference amp.
I managed to finally snag a Boss IR-2. It arrives Tuesday. I wanted one the moment I saw the video 8 hrs after it published.

This was fun. Interesting results. 5 out of 12 were “ampless” or “pedal amp” sort of things. 2 out of 12 were amps. 2 out of 12 were reverbs. 2 out of 12 were PRS guitars.

Love you guys videos and all and i understand this is also a marketing channel for Andertons but when you say in every video all year that everything you test is soo good! It is kinda hard to know what really is good. I go to other channels for that now so that's not a big problem but maybe try to be at least a tiny bit more critical next year.

Nice one. I have the Cloudburst and a MEL9 running through separate channels on their own volume pedals. The guitar has another channel and its own effects. This year the Cloudburst completed the set-up. That's it. No more pedals. None this year anyway. Have a great 2024.

Pete's speaks the official language of the guitarist. I immediately bought the Friedman IR X after watching their review.
Are you happy with it? What kind of music do you play? I ask because I already have a Headrush MX5 but, I'm considering adding either the UAFX Lion or the Freidman IRX to my board- because tbh I like building pedal boards and miss it. If you go with something like either of these units- you can use analogue effect pedals, which allows you to build a board geared specifically toward you. I think it helps you find your own tone instead of continuing to try and emulate someone else's all the time. You can do the same thing with the Headrush- sort of, it has an fx loop. So, you can just use the amp sim, cab, and IR and insert your own fx if you want- but 1. it tends to introduce latency- and 2. they no longer sound like they did when you used them with a real amp- they sound digital now. Usually, it sounds better to use the FX in the unit and avoid external pedals.

For me , best gear is mooer prime p2 because of its convenience for giging and teaching , light weight, ir opinions
Fender Tone Master Pro (TMP) is the winner for me. I went all in and got the TMP with the FR-12 speaker and could not be happier. What a great piece of gear.

Huh? You got Nike to replace your shoes after you had worn them for 10 months? Damn Pete, you have some pull bud- trust me, that's not happening for the average Joe. I've had several pairs of Nikes tear up on me within the first year of ownership- they wouldn't even reply to me and the ppl at the shop weren't interested either. But see my feets aint on everyone's tv screen once a day- yours are. And believe it or not, you have influence- I am currently wearing a pair of Timberland sneaker boots because of you. You mentioned them in a video once- thanked someone for getting them for you- and I thought they looked great and was looking for an alternative to Nike- so I bought them, and I love them. I have medical issues that prevent me from wearing a shoe with a heel on it- like most boots have. So, finding a hiking boot with a flat bottom was a real score. Thanks Pete.
Recently I found out from a UK Nike store that if their footwear is faulty within 2 or even 3yrs of manufacture date (can’t remember which) you can get a refund or the shoe swapped out. I only found out when my daughters Nike Air Max started coming apart and because I was passing the store I bought them from, I popped in to ask about any possible return almost a year on from purchase… Surprisingly generous 🤷♂️

After all the Covid-era scalping of gear, I get the same angry feeling when I see the markup of prices in the US for the Marshall Studio heads. The Friedmans are $250 less than the Marshall ST20 in the US. In the UK the ST20 are $1017 converted, in the US they are $1749. If I could get the Marshalls at UK prices, I'd have bought several of them by now.
The TMP is way better a cool device with future coolness coming and should have the top spot in my opinion
