Wow! That was so much fun Lee! Thanks everyone at Anderton's for such an amazing experience and having the best selection of gear!
Loved this
Thanks ever so much! @@timbrown7652
This is just top notch collab pairing. Nice to see two at the top of music youtube, perhaps educational would be the correct description, go way back together and then come back together.
Thanks ever so much!@@Yupppi So much fun to do this with Lee!
Good to see you here again Warren!
Hope Warren is doing 'marvellously well'! Thanks fellas!
Haha Thanks ever so much! Yes, I am doing marvellously well indeed!
I love this combo of people. Lee should do a Captain meets Warren Huart.
That would be amazing
Is Warren's staff discount still valid?
Hahahaha genius! Best comment

Hahahaha YES! @@spitfiremusic3997
I wish Dave!
Honestly, really cool sound and a fun variation on the normal format. Also sounds like a guy whose stories you would love to listen to.
Thanks ever so much! It was a huge amount of fun!
Honestly just give me all Warren Huart and I'll watch. Such a funny thing Lee and Warren go back to the early days and now they're both at the top of music youtube.
The most obvious think Durple should be is Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple sound.
Honestly it's not that long that I would've never guessed the cheapest Fender combo with a Squier and the cheapest mini pedals would be a great recording tone, but here we are. Warren rocks on them. It's so fascinating to watch him play too, his touch looks so light. Like as if you wouldn't wake up to his playing next to you. So light, effortless, smooth.
You're very kind! Thanks ever so much!

Love these inter CZcams colabs - always wanted East Enders and Corrie to do something similar and have Phil mitchel walk in to the rovers 🤣
Thanks ever so much!
U Wut?
I love Warren's channel, his comment on the importance of rhythm is my philosophy for teaching. Being a good soloist is important but being a good parts player will get you more work.
Thanks ever so much Graham!
Listening to Warren and Exile on Main St. 😊
Haha nice!
Warren and Lee is a great combination. Always love hearing Warren’s point of view. 😊
Thanks ever so much
Great to have Warren back! Emerald is my favorite Lizzy song, now I must listen to the Ace version!
LOVE Emerald! LOVE Thin Lizzy!
Torch = flashlight. I learned something new!
Haha indeed!
I could listen to Warren all day- top guitar player too
Thanks ever so much
This is one of the best episodes ever. Seriously. This man knows his stuff and plays well too. Loved the jam at the end. I will check his channel out for sure. Brilliant. Loved the recording knowledge, stories and tips. He's a great character ❤ this was entertaining in a non mind numbing way and that's cool in 2024.
Wow! Thanks ever so much! I really appreciate it
So pleasant the dynamic between these 2.

Interesting guy ... the format was a bit of a distraction to be honest: just get him back and interview him!
LOL - that was done a few weeks ago !
I've done a couple actually!@@hulldanfan
Quick story time, but the producer for my band said that of all the guitars we'd used during the recording process, he said that the guitar that Warren is using (which I also used during the recording) was his favourite and sounded the best. This also included £500-1000 Fenders and Charvels that he had in the studio. Love my Tele Thinline
That’s very cool! Thanks for sharing
Great to see things from a producers perspective.

I thought Warren was going to show recording gear such as an audio interface, DAW, laptop, microphones, etc.
Stay tuned! Coming soon!
Excellent@@Producelikeapro. I'm currently investigating audio interfaces. I wonder if I should purchase an Audient iD24 or an Apollo Twin X. I have a Cali 76 & great ODs that I want to run into the interface, then use Valhalla, Strymon & Neural Amp Modeler plugins to the front of house. I don't know if the Twin X is necessary or overkill. Thoughts?
@@dancrowell2933 If you are only doing DI guitar recording the twin X is overkill, if you want to do pro vocals then do the twin X, if you want to do a whole band or drumkit go for something like a Audient EVO 16 or something with more inputs
@@acebantz7649 I am only doing DI guitar. Pro vocals and recording the whole band is not my role. Thank you for sharing knowledge.
@@dancrowell2933 no problem, I do a lot of home recording myself, if I just had to do direct in guitar recording I would probably put more money into a good computer then an expensive di box because all those plugins and virtual amp Sims are going to take up a ton of power
Man is a great storyteller
You're very kind!
the Fender Pro Junior is the better Amp and a little bit cheaper, but only Volume and Tone control

Interesting video this one that is about so much more than buying a cheap rig.
One would hope!
That sounds like a totally usable, professional rig.
I'd use it any day!
Would you say it's produced like a pro... sorry
@@mrjamsherablebada Boom bada Bing!
Lee mentioned the Pro Junior in passing, and I'd like to just throw in that a guitarist in the rock band I play bass in usually uses a Hot Rod (40W 12" speaker) but has had to use my Pro (15W 10" speaker) for a couple of bar gigs (vocal PA with a mic on the kick drum only) and it has sounded fantastic and perfectly up to the job. On paper, specs are one thing, real world experience, another.
That’s great to hear! Thanks ever so much for sharing
Great insights 😊
Thanks ever so much
Warren is unsurpassed. Dude is really spectacular, spectacularly engaging and knowledgeable
Wow! Thanks ever so much
MARVELOUS

Really enjoyed this series of videos with Warren, interesting to hear insights from a producer's mindet as well as a guitarist.

Hey Danish Pete, I consider you the Andertons king of double entendre, which I always enjoy looking out for.. Now the Captain is asking Mr Huart, "Shall we do the front and back thing.. " You have some catching up to do now to keep your crown.... 😂
Hey Warren did Lee at least throw you the 57? Lol.
Haha the mic? Or a ‘57 Les Paul?
Like it! As alway I can learn something when I see Warren. And of course it’s fun as well to see these guys together. Thank you!

@@Producelikeapro I try to learn as much as I can from your channel. Very interested in recording, mixing and mastering my own songs. Definition of "I'm willing to get my hands dirty" - kudos Warren!
Thanks ever so much
It would be cool to see some higher budget versions of this, I think it would make the choices a lot more varied and interesting
Happy to be a guinea pig and try that one out for size! Bigger, more expensive size
Steve used a modded deluxe reverb I believe but Landau used the princeton Im pretty sure - either way both are incredible recording amps. If you are studio guy a princeton and a champ or a deluxe and a champ will take you very far
Thanks ever so much for sharing

Warren's back again!
GReat times!
Do a rig for $10,000. I'm not rich but still bring about 5-10 grand worth of gear to gigs. Would be more interesting I think but always enjoy these videos
Any advice on recording with plugins?
What is the specific question?
I think a £2000 rig would be more interesting. At £1000 the choices are so limited the rig is largely predetermined by the budget and we can guess most of it before watching the video.
Totes agree. Even £1500 would give the player a little more leeway.
And they usually blow through the £1000 “limit” anyway. But not by much- 20-50 quid. I’m fine as exercise is set up.
The point is making compromizes.
Agreed
@@michelvondenhoff9673 The point is that it’s basically always the same “compromises”. You knew the pedals would probably be Tone City, the amp would be either one of the maybe 4 tube amps or a Katana and the guitar would be a Squier, a Sire or one of the few still inexpensive Epiphones.
Thank you Warren for playing so good on this video, you got great tone from what you had to work with, which was not much (money wise), I like you style in music, and playing.
Warren is like a irrepressible Geyser of energy/anecdotes/insights - great content and fun watching Lee try to contain/direct the whole thing lol
Haha Thanks Tom! Lee is pretty darn good isn't he?
I don't know why, but i enjoy it when CZcams people get together, perhaps it's because you get to know a lot about them.
Marvellous! Thanks ever so much!
Was this BJ back open because You cut the bright cap so it takes pedals without fizz? ;)
I would be interested in a rig that would be $1000 a year for 5 years. Getting equipment to start but yet getting gear that you could build around over time.
I would have loved to see what he would have thought of a Bugera 5 watter for this challenge!
I’d love to hear that
The Bluesbreaker was disappointing because it sounded nothing like the "Beano" sound. It took a while to emerge as one of the best ODs for Strats.
I must have got lucky witty mine, it was pretty good, not as driven as it should have been listening to Clapton's tone on the Beano album. is that what you meant?
the wildfire sounded great!
Marvellous! Thanks ever so much for sharing!
Lukather used blackface deluxes modded by Rivera, I believe
Marvellous
I think Tom morello used a little solid state amp for rage against the machine in the studio
These are always fun to see, but for what it's worth, I actually enjoy seeing the 'shopping' half of the videos - in fact, I'd love to see slightly more than in the regular videos, with a bit more trial and error. Appreciate that would probably add a lot of time and effort to each video though!
What would make this better would be if you first got them to put together their rig for the gig with no budget and then got them to do the £1000 rig and compared them to not only look at any obvious differences in sound/feel etc but also to see what they can actually do without and leave out of their rig!
Stay to the end and check out the tasty picking skills by Warren 🥰🤩 Bravo. Author! Author! 🙂👍

Ok Warren you are great, but you are not making my life any easier, I still need to have excuses to buy new gear! If my wife watches this video she will kill me.
Haha I hear you! It’s the musicians curse!
Not that it’s got the real pickups, but now that the jazzmasters exploded in popularity, the tele deluxe/custom is absolutely the most underrated fender guitar.
Man, I'm trying to pay attention, but that orange Gretsch on the wall back there keeps yelling at me every time you switch to that angle.
Oh man, I need this Ace and Slash thing. I'm gonna go hunt for it after this, good tip, thanks!
What is it yelling? Buy me? Hey I'm orange? It is a beautiful guitar!

Super interesting tho
@@bobby-b9876 Yeah great guy, very experienced musician/producer, very interesting. Just didn't understand the brief here; pick a guitar, amp and a couple of pedals and tell us why that rig is good for recording.

I thought Paul Jackson Jr played most of the rhythm guitar on Thriller?
I believe they were referring to Beat It. That song was a mess that Steve Lukather fixed. Some how the click time code (SMPTE) got erased or recorded over. Steve had to change the parts per Quincy Jones' request, without a timecode or click track. Steve played most of the rhythm instruments while Eddie did the solo.
Yes, we are specifically taking about Beat It
