I just wanna drop by and say I'm actually really glad to go on a tour of an island that *isn't* relentlessly over-designed and busy. This island feels more natural, more personal. I dig its vibes. And that green screen room is a neat trick lol, I thought you did those thumbnails with Photoshop.
That bush season clock thing is genius I need to use that for my island

I think it's cool too. I did a similar bush clock on my island after I collected a lot of bushes and didn't know anything better to do with them

I like tours like this better than the really built out themed tours where every area is meticulously decorated. This reminds me a lot more of my island. Something that was played and enjoyed and evolved as time went. Some areas were built early game, some things added for functionality like the second player for storage (my island has 4 extra player houses) and other areas are sorta empty for the "I'll get to it eventually" pile. Might not be the inspo dump like the big themed islands but its a journal of your playtime with it.

Thanks! Even the RS area of my island lags when there's an event set up in the plaza, I cannot imagine how bad some of the more decorated islands are for lag
i love seeing day 1 islands, i've never reset mine either and there's just something cozy about knowing that it's still the same one i started on almost 4 years ago (eek), even if mine has been flattened and rebuilt back up twice now, lol

As always your commentary during your video's is simply great and very funny it makes an Island tour very entertaining. I could probably write a whole novel about little tidbits you you mentioned but I'll refrain from doing so. As for the HHA score, I'm gonna go with around 109,600 points~

My favorite spots are the flower area, entrance path, and gyroid rooms! Immaculate vibes and excellent resource management.
I LOVED this. Warmed my soul watching my favourite acnh challenge man tour us around his OG island. Always caught glimpses of this island on twitch, stoked to have a little walk through and hear your thoughts about how you made it.
The most creative thing I could think to put in my basement was a graveyard

i don't really know what i was expecting but this was surprisingly wholesome? 🥺 like the whole way you set it up and showed us around, and how you explained the whole system behind the flowers and light/dark dirt patches. i think your island has some really nice corners! thnks for taking us on a tour :D
This was such a lovely tour! I recently got back into ACNH and seeing an island that's so clearly loved and developed as you went feels like mine. All those meticulous themed islands (which are super cool, don't get me wrong) always made me feel like I wasn't doing enough with my island, but this kinda makes me feel better!

Love your Island! My Island has also seen sparring visits since the 2.0 update, which is kinda sad. Regular content patches would have probably kept interest in the day to day gameplay alive for much longer!
Love the little areas next to your villagers houses and the grand entrance! The man made waterfall area also looks very pretty

Dagnel, your ACNH videos are so funny; very outside-the-box. I have a suggestion for a future one. See how fast you can get a 5-star island but with one catch: it has to meet all the technical criteria of course, like "have lots of fences, trees, etc" but it looks like s***. Like mismatched colors and styles, refrigerators outside, just anything awful like if you were blindfolded. Pretty please!

I wish I'd kept my day 1 island, but the island I have now is over two years old and I don't plan on deleting it anytime soon. I'm currently revisiting New Leaf for some nostalgia and easy gameplay before I tackle redecorating my currently-flattened island (it's just too much stress even though I want to) so it's nice and inspiring to see this island of yours!!

I like to say my Island is day 0, because I started it the night of March 19th, 2020. I'm very proud to have maintained one Island this entire time, unlike every other game in the series where I'd reset like a madman sometimes.

This is really inspiring... It really makes me want to improve my town in New Leaf (my current playthrough) and maybe even start anew in New Horizons with the DLC? Is that really worth it?

your island is wonderful!!! I got my island also on march 20 ofc but it's looong away from yours. Def will pick up some ideas of yours like the farming area as well as trying to reach a 5 star island and to complete the museum.. however I'm currently busy with my new leaf aninmal crossing(s) because I need to get a lot of dreaming done until they remove the online function on april 8.. So once I took care of that I might focus on new horizons again. To defend myself though I never time travelled and I don't plan in doing so, so that's why nothing is really completed.. Your clock bushes btw are so cool!!! I will def dream of your island first things first once I'm back on my island. Oh and I think the score of your house should be around 86000 points :)

I'm going to make a guess on your HHA score! 80,232. It's random, but my ACNH home is about 89k+. But that's with rooms with tons of furniture, so I feel like your house score is pretty up there but the barren rooms bring it down a bit.
