It's pretty obvious what happened, you don't strip a car down for an insurance appraisal, you do when your nicking parts tho, I bought about 6 or 7 vehicles from Co part in lock down as they were the only auction trading, I got ripped off on every one, worked hard on then and probably lost, a bike was supposed to be cat N (non structural) the frame was broken, a golf had no brakes and no clutch, the delivery driver was laughing, fees and delivery were very high too (very high) I wouldn't advise anyone to buy from them.
the purchaser of the damaged vehicle has been defrauded and that fraud must have been done by someone with specialist knowledge and tools. outrageous.
i don't know if it'd do much but i would of contacted a lawyer, possibly use the inspection company as witness
They had to strip out the gearbox for the insurance appraisal?! That bit wasn’t damage and so no need to remove to establish total loss. I don’t know Copart but could you really take out a gearbox from a car on their site without people knowing …and replace it with another you’d brought…. The car went straight from Bamford Rose to Copart. It’s pretty clear what the most likely explanation is
One of the businesses mentioned has recently suggested that they are having trouble with being supplied with parts from AM.
"he couldn't get ahold of Bamford Rose". Yup, that's pretty typical. I tried every method (email, their forum, other forums, Facebook, CZcams, etc) other than telephone for months (I'm several timezones away on the west coast of the US) and never got a response. The closest I got was a response to a CZcams comment I made months later in a CZcams video. I wanted to buy some of their parts, but that seems extremely unlikely
only one party in that chain has access to lots of broken aston parts, access to the vehicle with a remit to tear it down and supply chain issues. pretty clear whats happened here IMO
I agree 100%
Doesn’t take a genius to figure out who took the parts. Worked part time in a German car company garage, the head mechanic was bidding on a crash damaged van at the garage he didn’t win it, he told me to take everything out of it that wasn’t nailed down. I was 19 and I knew this was wrong so I only took the spare wheel.
@KokoJoni-ut5ti the van was left at the garage he was working in to be accessed for the insurance company, The insurance wrote it off and put it up for auction but they kept the van at the garage, he put a bid in to buy it but he was outbid so he pulled parts off it before it was lifted
Excellent video well done
People they don’t understand when a car is smashed the impact is transferred to the rest of the body,
And to know that you bought a total loss car the feeling,
And plus the insurance company might not want to insure you
And if you want to sell it people will run off ☠️
I have just watched the Crashton video that features the car in question at Bamford Rose. As I understand parts were removed but replacements were left in the car, It’s not that hard to work out, hardly a job for Quincy . I won’t be taking my car to Bamford Rose .
Got a link to crashton Pal?

That sucks. Hopefully the dude gets enough parts back to make it worth while.
😂😂😂😂 only one place to look for these parts 😂😂😂😂
Gumtree?
I am the previous owner of this car. I do not appreciate being considered a possible thief of any parts - the car was really well maintained and complete whilst in my ownership.
Hi Richard, the aim was never to call any individual out on this, more to highlight the scenarios in which cars that go through this process can be tampered. I will for sure highlight this on a future video and hopefully you understand that this is not a dig at you or your character, it can't be as I don't know you. Thanks for reaching out to confirm however , I'm sure the viewers will appreciate the additional information on this story
Great channel
Seems more like he's calling out Copart, not the original owner. A tad defensive there, mate?
You nailed it: I enjoyed the video. This is how dishonest people make their money. 💰 it’s like always Buying Beware:👍😎
Bamford Rose goes on about the owner of McGurk going inside for PCJ when it seems they have been nicking parts from a customers car themselves lol.
Bamford Rose is the only place this could off happened especially with old bits placed in the car
You want to try copart Belfast ,they won't even let u in the yard to look any vehicles
A lot of valuable parts have gone missing and it is glaringly obvious where they have gone to me
@KokoJoni-ut5ti Copart take stuff off the cars its happened to me before
If a car is a Write off in any W/O category, I would not want it anyway, The best thing to do is stay away from buying them.
Bamford rose took the parts simple
If as you say a courier driver could have stolen the parts by taking the car home to steal parts, then surely that companies driver's would be tracked by GPS. Unless he's self employed. If he is GPS tracked then the company who employ him will be able to trace his route for that day.
Bamford rose are comical.....any garage that take parts off a car....makes sure they go with it or init or you finish up with a load of crap laying around....unless your stick them on Ebay asap from your other garage...
I shit myself spending 1500 on copart and got lucky i doubt I'd risk spending much more it's a massive risk.
if it was a private seller stay clear on c part also buy running driving cars
Its called a ringer. Sounds like some fraud going on in the salvage trade . Is copart involved or some of their staff ? But if the car is not as described then surely copart should take it back.
do not remove the car from site unless you checked it first
No real surprise here with regards to them
I just sold my car to copart😢. I wish they fix it and keep it on the road
I work for copart, we only roughly give detail on the damage to the car, so the see and tell kind of thing, we don’t go into mercanic stuff due to the fact we are a salvage company/yards, we cannot strip down a car, so what else can we do, some of us that work there have the degrees and some don’t, if they don’t then they must have general knowledge of the cars and how they work, also the drivers don’t take things from the cars that we pick up, unless it’s parts hanging off the cars, so wheels and suspension and steering parts.
Also we image the cars and then use loader drivers to pick up the cars, What can we do if they don’t run?, also using a loader can be quicker at the end of the day.
If there’s anybody to blame to me it’s the drivers/garages, they are getting pushed via the insurance company’s/sellers of the cars, the cars don’t tend to get damaged unless it’s oil from the top deck of the truck leaking onto it, then ovbs the garages if they don’t put the parts back on the car, otherwise it’s the thief’s at the end of the day, a lot of cat’s get taken off due to them being high value parts to resell
My mate worked at copart and he told me cars have parts robbed prior to driving in
@@chiefrocka8604 ye mate, then tend to sometimes, it’s not our fault half the time, we only take the images and then if there is any parts we put them back inside the car, if any parts come loose due to the damage, say a loose wheel hanging off, then what can we do?
people get ripped off because copart trains employees to take glamour shots 35 feet away from the car and direct the lens away from all interior and exterior damages when possible. They then run fraud descriptions like "run and drive" when it's really knock n drive, and when you pick it up they hide behind their "terms and conditions" and tell you that you should a looked at it first, presumably because they can't be an ethical company that accurately describes vehicle condition....
Do you know if a customer can get any compensation if an insurance write off shows HPI Cat N and the copart advert too, but arrives with severe structural damage? Why don't copart take better pictures of the damage if they're not in cahoots with the insurance companies to defraud the buyer.
@@misterzee5736 so the insurance/bodywork shops do the categories of the damage etc, then they change them to the damage locations etc etc, also it depends on the yard as well, some yards can be better then others, also depends on who they employe, if they are new or just beening abit lazy on that day, due to the guys including me, when I worked there covering maybe 30k steps a day on gravel/concrete. So over time leases with your legs and walking etc
"Mike has very kindley agreed to give the owner some of these parts"....Lol so his shop steals the parts, cuz lets be honest its the only place in the chain it can happen....The guy delivery driver, more than likley isn't driving an astin martin realistically or stopping his deliveries so he can "quickly" strip it xD
So yeah Mike ain't don't anything kindley xD...His basically saying here have some of the parts i stole or parts like em
Dont buy a car without looking at it simple
It's COPART, they're absolute crooks.
Hmmm. Very fishy
Indeed
What are you on about? You can not get a valuation of problems from a third party .
You can only get it valued when you have bought it.
Bamford Rose evaluated the vehicle after the accident. Giving the price to repair for the original owner. This then deemed it as a write off, the new owner bought it using the information that deemed it as a write off.
What are you on about?
@@CorpsMedia The Way it came over in the vid was a little confusing .
it seemed like you were saying the buyer tuk it to get it appraised .
I my apologies thank’s
Know what your buying.......it's that simple don't blame Copart it's not there fault lol 😆 😂 🤣 😅 🤷
