  • The great literature of pagan Greece and Rome can teach Christians much about the place of exile from which we begin, and even about many of the virtues we need as we travel along the way. They cannot show us the destination we seek, of course. Even so, it is not so much that they lead us to the wrong destination, but that, without Christ, they fall far short of finding the true one.
