Did u paint the initial background white to seal the paint lines in
Normally I suggest painting over the tape with the same color as the background. So in this case I should have painting over the tape with black to seal the edges.
You can see when I pulled up the tape that I had a lot of bleed-through under the tape edges.
However I also wanted to set a white base layer so the colors would really pop. Painting color over black sometimes dulls the color.
The proper order for this painting should have been: Black base layer, tape, black edge seal layer, white layer, then color.
What size board is this?
Beautiful! What type/brand of tape do you use to make such clean lines?
I use just regular Scotch masking tape or the green Frogtape. I've tried various others, delicate surface tapes, other Scotch tapes that are supposed to produce sharper lines, and they just don't work for me. Regular old masking tape or Frogtape works best for me.

Very lovely art I love it
How u make the canvas black at the beginning. Did u painted that black or its already black?
It's just painted, basic black acrylic paint. You can buy canvases pre-primed black, or use black gesso. But in this case I just set it up with a couple of layers of black paint.
Do you need to let it dry first before you put another color paint?
You can let it dry between colors to get more color separation, which is what I did in this painting. Or you can just paint it all at once and blend the colors together. It depends on the style you want, if you want hard breaks between colors or a more blended look.
Thank you so much! I'm a new subscriber! I love your painting! I will definitely try this at my job! 🤙🥰🤙
