An EBS test perfectly done for a Spanish language TV station and by the FCC rules: First in the primary language of the station then in English. Even the EBS slide with the Blaw-Knox tower and the Civil Defense logo is well done in both languages. Got to like those EBS slides with the Civil Defense logo!
This is a coordinated monthly Mobile test of the emergency alert system, originating from the EAS local primary station for this area. equipment that can quickly warn you during emergencies is being tested. If this were an EAS actual emergency such as a tornado autoxic material release nuclear plant accident or other stator local emergency that effects your safety. Official messages would follow the alert tone. this station serves the Southeast michigan operational area, this concludes this test of the EAS System.
It's amazing how I don't speak a word of Spanish but I am so familiar with the EBS test mantra that I knew exactly what it was saying before the English portion of the test played.
"¡Esta es solo una prueba!" I mean, I guess it should come as no surprise that the Spanish spiel would be exactly the same as the English one, but it still sound funny to me for some reason. Also, the EBS is "SDE (Sistema de Difusoras de Emergencia)" but in the Civil Defense slide, they just call it "The emergency system."
