Bravo for airing this. I always figured that they were passing down traditions on dealing with money and I think it’s a great thing. I never understood what problem people had with it. My husband taught my son at an early age to save his money and I grew to appreciate it, cuz you know, I liked spending it💵💵❗️✌🏽

Read rabbi Daniel Lapin's book "Thou Shall Prosper" It has great principles that have created Jews the wealth they have built. They definitely do not take the victim stance.

My parents did not teach me anything about money so I had to figure it all out by myself which of course took longer. Had my parents taught me this as a child, I would have started investing in stocks way earlier and would have gained a lot of time in the market which is key for the compound interest effect. When I have kids, I will set up ETF savings plans for them starting the day they are born.

I overhear conversations all the time about certain people teaching their “children financial literacy” you have to teach them how to manage money and be responsible while they’re younger I was never taught this in my household same with millions of other people of my ethnicity that’s why we are at the bottom of the financial spectrum

Jewish people kind of completely blow out of the water the notion that oppression causes poorness. It’s about how we teach our children not about what happened to their grandparents that tells us where they’re going

Oppression does cause poverty. Jews were poor for centuries. The difference is that every time our empires were destroyed, we came together and rebuilt it again. It’s not like Jews have never failed. It’s about determination. In Japanese culture we have a saying of “fall down seven times, get up eight times”. This is integral to our culture.
Other groups tend to give up more easily because they’re raised without proper guidance or in a culture that breeds entitlement. It’s only fairly recently in history that Jews became financial gurus and figureheads.

    • @yamiscape
      @yamiscape Před 9 měsíci

@@stealingStolenMemesThat depends on what you see as oppression. To an extent, you oppress yourselves by not making the most of your days on earth and wasting your time not growing as a person in mind, body and spirit. This causes you to be easily exploited.
The fact of the matter is that nobody cares about you unless you have power and influence. Jews and South East Asians figured this out a long time ago but other groups still want to delude themselves.
If you don’t want to be treated like cattle then you must gain power and influence and to do that you have to completely overhaul your lifestyle. Many people aren’t willing to do this so they just claim that they’re being “oppressed” while living in a first world country. They can’t even tell you who exactly is oppressing them.

His explanation of what Hannukah is all about is completely wrong. Though what he said about teaching children to handle money responsibly is on point, it is not at all what Hannukah is about.
Wikipedia does a brief, but decent job explaining what Hanukkah IS really about:
"Hanukkah[a] (/ˈhɑːnəkə/; Hebrew: חֲנֻכָּה‎, Modern: Ḥanukka, Tiberian: Ḥănukkā listeni) is a Jewish festival commemorating the recovery of Jerusalem and subsequent rededication of the Second Temple at the beginning of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century BCE."
The Macedonian Greek Seleucid empire was actively trying to erode away, even outlaw Judaism and tried replacing it with Greek polytheism. The Seleucids tried to sever the Jewish connection to G-d and to make polytheists out of the Jewish people. They nearly succeeded in snuffing out Judaism, but then were finally defeated and driven out of Israel again during the Maccabean revolt and Judaism was essentially brought back from the brink of death. THAT is what Jews celebrate on Hannukah.

God tells Moses His name is Elohim. "im" is plural in ancient Hebrew.
Elohi means God right? He said His name was Gods.
It mentions the Holy Spirit in the Tanakh.
There are tons of prophecies about the Coming Messiah. Jesus fulfilled them all and it can be found in the New Testament of the Bible, except for the Second Coming prophecies that will happen in the end times.
But, the book of Revelations, the end times book further elaborates on them as you'd expect if it was the truth.
The first chapter of the first book of the Bible fulfills one of the prophecies showing Jesus lineage to King David as prophecied.
It goes on to show He was born in a manger, born of a virgin, born in Bethlehem, so on and so forth.
