I wish I had known about keto/carnivore when my dad was sick...I have my mom on it - her seizures and parkinson's symptoms are now under control. She is 95 and going strong! It's never too late to start the phd! ♡

I cured my epilepsy eating carnivore. Keto helped but carnivore made the seizures go away completely. As anyone who has ever had a seizure can tell you, it is never to late to have one less seizure in your lifetime. I wish you and your Mom the best.

@@robinbeers6689 Thank you, Robin! I could not agree more...the best seizure is the one that never happens..mom has not had one in almost 2 years..on keto, I expect that she'll live out her life not ever having to experience another one! The bonus to this is that I went on it with her and have not only lost almost 40 pounds, but also, my asthma is totally under control . I was tethered to an oxygen concentrator. My then Dr. told me I'd have to have supplementary oxygen for the rest of my life- I was only 30 at the time. While I'll always be an asthmatic, I can go days/weeks without using my inhalers - at my peak, I used 3 inhalers 3 times a day + an oral medication just to be able to breathe! What a difference the phd has made in our lives!!
I'm happy for your results, too! I wish everyone could experience the life changing benefits we have seen!!
Take good care and stay well. : )

Here is something almost miraculous that has started to happen to me in the last couple of weeks . I would say I am only 25 per cent of the way into my keto journey . It's a bit more of a problem for me because I am culturally vegetarian so going carnivore is a bit more challenging for me .l already had great results from eliminating bread . In the last few weeks I have stopped obsessing about food ! This is a very strange experience for me . The only time in my life I have not obsessed about food is when I have been ill or when I smoked or took some recreationals when I was young . I am definitely not constitutionally ill at the moment . It's very odd choosing when you want to eat !!! Stick with it people ✌️

@@janicelloyd3215 Hi Janice ✌️. Yes it is a challenge . Truth is for me a wholegrain vegetarian diet was slowly killing me even when I was exercising very regularly . Barry Sears zone books saved my life I think , and at that point I was able to reintroduce some animal protein in my diet ( mainly salmon ) . I have the greatest respect for Dr Berry ( also Dr Fung and Pastor Dennis ) , but I may never be able to go the full carnivore . So I am concentrating on removing sugar , fructose , carbs from my diet . I am able to eat organic chicken livers once or twice a week . I would also like to eat more cod roe but most fresh fish shops have closed in the UK . There is a whole sub continent of people in India who will never become carnivore ( I might add that that heart disease and type 2 diabetes are endemic there ) so we have to find a vegetarian orientated diet that doesn't cause hyperinsulinemia . That's the challenge .I might add that IF has also had a profound positive effect on my health . Good luck to you on your own journey .

But keep up the keto inspired diet . But as I write this, it is -33 Celsius outside.. I get it. we cannot always get out.. But if you can, make a part of your life.. LIne the sheet pan/cookie sheet with parchment paper. You can now get two-roll packs of it at Costco, and it is very well priced. Pull off a sheet a bit larger than your cooking pan so that you can crimp up an edge all around, then lay out the bacon. The reason for crimping up the sides is to keep the bacon fat off the pan and make it easier to pour off into a container.

Great job dr. Ken I have been on a carnivore diet for a year now I started at 464 lbs and I’m 62 years old, im down 79 lbs so far. Before I had bad inflammation in my legs they were always blown up. Now they are normal. I feel so much better, when I started I could only walk about 100 yards and I would be winded. I now am walking 3 miles 5 times a week and walking farther each day. I just love the diet and don’t have trouble staying on it for the most part. Just wished I knew about it sooner. I have bad football knees from all the sports and they are both bone on bone but with the weight loss they are now manageable. Play golf about 3 times a week in the summer time I live in Michigan so the winter time is when I walk. Thanks again there are times that my weight loss slows down but I don’t give up on it as long as it’s going the right way….

Two years on phd a hundred pounds lighter and my t2 diabetes is in remission, life is good. My weight is being maintained but I'm batting with hunger all the time and have a difficult time with eating to satiety, tastes like more is my nemesis. When doing an exploratory 26 years ago the surgeon took my appendix out just because he was there. There was nothing wrong with it. They were trying to find a reason for my chronic diarrhea, acid reflux and abdominal pain. That didn’t fix it and it likely made it worse. I did ask him and previous doctors did you think it had something to do with my diet. I also gained weight no matter how little I ate but they only checked my thyroid levels and never antibodies.

I have suffered from complex migraines for 35 years following a head on car collision. Migraines have been better the last 15 years but about 10 years ago I started getting anxiety spells with the same pattern that I previously had migraines. The last 4 years ago I started getting syncope along with the anxiety problems. I get no warning before fainting. I have fainted walking, standing, sitting and laying down.
I started Keto about 5 years ago and lost 50 pounds and have kept if off.
I have been neurologist, cardiologist and had every text under the sun. No one has a clue what's wrong with me. All my tests come back with a clean bill of health. I have a high stress job and wonder if it could be stress related? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Re Splenda.
You can get *liquid sucralose* where 1 drop equals 1 teaspoon of sugar sweetness.
I'm type 1 diabetic and know exactly how food affects my BG.
I noticed a difference when i quit using the packets and got the liquid. And I'm NOT talking about the little squeeze bottle in the grocery store. That still has sugar and is one whole squeeze. How do measure a squeeze??🤦🏼‍♀️
The liquid sucralose is 1 DROP equals 1 tsp sugar.
I use 2 drops in my coffee and it does not raise my BG.
    Fyi
Dr Berry was talking about the yellow packets that have sugar.
