I love my 4 piece st croix travel rod. Of course it’s more expensive than these rods but it’s what I got as a gift

I have the eagle rod and I’ve been using it the last couple of weeks.
I love how portable it is. I can throw it in my back pack and be able to fish anytime I have free time. In my opinion, the reel that came with it was trash. I replaced it with a Daiwa and it has became my favorite rod and reel combo. Even when I’m not trying to travel light, I still use it at my main set up.

That quantum rod might be a good pick for me traveling so much in the navy

I've never been a fan of those retractable rods, but they definitely have their advantages when you need to pack light! Thanks for the comparison. I'd go with the Quantum after what I saw from your video.

The only real advantage is being able to transport them from place to place
