Dining On A $30,000 Plane Ticket

- The plane even had a SHOWER. I’ve always been curious to see what the world's best plane food looks like. Of all places, plane food is often quite bad. But, can it be good? Emirates has an in-flight menu where, if flying first class, you can order as much food as you want throughout the entire flight. Their menu ranges from expensive caviar to top-shelf champagnes. Join me for the ride (and dining experience) of a lifetime!

Having been on Emirates as ground crew, I can attest to how INSANE this plane is. The A380 is huge af. The video does it some justice, but seeing it in person is a whole different story.

nick a couple minutes later: the flight is almost 12 hours
It's a flight to bali but all Emirates flights go through dubai. Judging off the skyline when he takes off, he was at jfk Airport in New York which takes 12 hours to get to dubai. After that he will probably get on another flight to bali, Indonesia which is probably another 7-8 hours, which factoring in a 3 or 4 hour layover in dubai equates to 24 hours
@@tedddom3023 uh no
Actually it can be read at the beginning it was a round trip so 12 on the trip to bali and 12 for the trip back
@@amberbhatia3081 I was just about to comment this lol I kept seeing so many comments of people not understanding how round trips work
Yes, but all Emirates flights have to go through Dubai. So, technically, you’re both right. Dubai (DXB) is a hub for Emirates, just like the airline United. If you were to fly United to somewhere other then their hubs, you would have to go through the hubs and take a connecting flight to their destination, so Nick will have to go to Dubai, then take a connecting flight to Bali. But, only difference is that Emirates only has one hub (DXB).
Dude you missed the lounge
the fact that emirates airlines is the only airline I've ever been on and ive never been in first class once I've only been on business for 3 hrs
Aviation nerd here, the plane you flew on is a Airbus A380, the largest passenger plane which at maximum capacity can sit over 800 passengers ✈️

He's na chef..
Nick did you know when flying, "The combination of dryness and low pressure reduces the sensitivity of your taste buds to sweet and salty foods by around 30%". So any food you though was good increase it by 30 percent.
Actually: 100/70 * 100% = 142,857142857% ≈ increment of 42%. So you should actually multiply the taste by 42% when you lose 30% of your taste in the air.
(Started with 100/70, because in the air '100%' of your taste buds in the air is actually 70% on the ground -as you proclaimed-, so that is the multiplier you have in contrast from the air to the ground. Now do that × 100%, so you have the contrast percentage.

he probably didn’t pay that much either, and if he did it’s a business write off. it’s quite possible they either actually paid him or comped his flight since he was doing a review on a very popular youtube channel. i could be wrong but it wouldn’t surprise me. he did another similar video awhile back and i think that one was like 12k, so that makes it even more likely he’s got an arrangement with them since it brings good publicity

I would love to do all that, I wouldn’t like sitting alone though, I get a bit nervous on a flight and my hubby always holds my hand. We flew business class to Hawaii for our 25th anniversary and that was fun and awesome. It was strange that our seats were facing the opposite way but it was how the business section was set up so our seats can recline to beds also, very comfortable. The food was excellent, lobster and pasta and other good food and desserts and beverages we could have, we didn’t have to pay extra and watching any shows or movies we wanted was pretty cool also. It made the flight (five hours), go by fast. We’re planning on going back to Hawaiian in the Spring or visit our niece in England, hmm, hard choice! Lol.. But after you spending that much money, everything you ate and drank should have been free. I hope you had a great time! 😊
I am currently moving to secondary school and am very stressed. I find for some reason, stress makes me hungry so these videos have been filling that void of being hungry when I’m not hungry. luckily since he did it for youtube he can write it off as a business expense and deduct it from his taxes so it wont end up costing him as much at the end of the year
With a channel like this, he's definitely a millionaire already so 30k isn't that much if it's for business expense

@@sodonewithit.literally being a millionaire doesn’t go nearly as far as it used to, i wouldn’t be surprised if he has some type of deal with the airline, like a sponsorship or something of that nature. then again depending on how many subscribers he has (i didn’t look before making this reply) then yes, he could actually be making serious bank to where 30k really is nothing, especially if he can write it off at tax time next year

6:20- that wasn't Falafel, that was a Syrian dish (also common in Iraq, Lebanon and Kurdistan) called "kibbeh". It has many versions, but I think the most notable one is the "beets kibbeh".
Actualy its an armenian dish called kefte but since Syrian’s are basically next door they saw it and used it as there own and since armenia is heavily silenced were denied our own opinion by neighboring countries. It could also very well be syrian or iranian since they are near that area as well and have been their for a long time as well. But there are multiple variations of that dish like beef kefte which is armenian but also beet and vegtebal kefte which is probably shared among those cultures.

Hi! I wanted to tell you that some of the ingredients on the mezze plater are Lebanese, the salad at 5:53 is called Tabouleh and the paste is Baba Ghanouj (with the eggplant) and the side paste is Hummus (widely used). The grape-leafed rice is called Warak Arish and next to it is called Kebbeh another Lebanese dish. I hope this makes the dishes clear! Love your content!
Edit: Yall r attacking me for a food widely eaten across the Middle East. Yes, some of the versions are Turkish but our recipe is Lebanese, why? Because the Ottomans invaded Lebanon hundreds of years ago, and while yea it is eaten across the Arabian peninsula doesn't mean we stole it from countries.

If I went on a fligh like this. The following would be my strategy before boarding and during the flight:
Pre flight:
1. Sleep in my bed. At least 10 hours on the day prior to the flight. (To have the full time awake on the flight to eat food and drink champagne)
2. Not eat for 24h pre-flight. Only drink water to enlargen my stomach. (To have the full time on the flight (awake/hungry) to eat food and drink champagne)
3. Exercise 2h a day for a week pre-flight. (To have the full time (awake/hungry) on the flight to eat food and drink champagne)
On flight:
1. Eat every item on the menue. Twice.
2. Drink an exsessive amout of champage
3. Nail the stewardess
