    This is gonna a very Good 200m Event in the makings with Gabby Thomas with a P R of 21.60 done on the Heywood Track which usually have Fast Times..While Sherrika Jackson with a P R 21.71s done at Jamaica Trials 🇯🇲..are the main contender ..They both have ran some 400m Event to enhance their 200m and it definalely have worked for them..I expect Sherrika to come off the Curve infront of Gabby and maintained her lead to the Line..

    They both have tons of strength and grit, but, Shericka simply has too much foot speed. If Gabby could get herself down to even just a 10.8, she can be untouchable in this event. That darn 21.60 she ran was into a HEADWIND, and she muscled her way through it, even running tense (which annoys the heck out of me about she and the old TaLou), which means she is very strong & Tonja is coaching the heck outta her, BUT, she’s simply needs some more 60’s and 100M’s to get out better and kick into her acceleration sooner. Her top speed, strength, and pure grit are simply amazing. Shericka seems to have all of the tools she needs today, so, it’s very hard to count her out.

      Remember the Jamaica track is at see level.i want you to consider all the factors 21.6 head wind 22.7 at sea level

      @@danniserial3856 yes, simply put, I’ve run my entire life and understand this sport and all the conditions, as well as the athletes, like the back of my hand. I understand these things thoroughly. Yes, of course, you’re right about the sea level, etc. For example, everyone just swore up and down Omanyala is the next Bolt and untouchable today…obviously, because he always ran at elevation, but now, he’s getting his azz handed to him left and right with loss after loss, and it’s simply because he’s now dealing with folks at sea level.
      I wanna be very clear, my track teams were always the best here in USA when I grew up, and part of it was because we brought in so many Jamaicans. We let Jamaicans live with us in our homes for free; they were our best friends and like family to us, and it was a HUGE blessing and compliment to have them run on our teams. It amazes me the amount of Jamaican on CZcams who keep starting arguments with me, and acting like I’m some american hater, when, I’ve been the biggest FAN and lover of Jamaican sprinters my entire life. Jamaicans are very interesting, in that, their results are usually the same no matter where they go. Shericka, Shelly, and Elaine…even VCB, always seem the same no matter whether they are at elevation, headwind, tail wind, etc., just their technique is solid. Bolt was like this, as well…his times were his times…legit. Elaine ran an Olympic record into a headwind…that is MAD RESPECT for me! I sat and cried…a grown man, crying when I saw Elaine accomplish this, despite the fact FloJo is like a deity to me I feel no one should touch or disrespect. Gabby seems to be a lot like the Jamaicans in that her performance doesn’t seem to be too heavily affected by the wind. ShaCarri is interesting in that although I think her haters think tail wind helps her a lot, it really doesn’t. But, a headwind wipes her out completely! Give ShaCarri a tailwind, and she can do whatever she wants to do. Give her a head wind, and she struggles. Sea Level plays a role in this, because like wind is an issue, air density plays a near identical role in it all. Runners like ShaCarri maximize results based upon conditions…very good in positive winds, and very bad in negative winds…that’s kinda the ground versus air dominant thing. Jamaicans seem to be more ground dominant, so, they do whatever it is they do no matter what. This is a very interesting point you brought up…I just want you to know I’m fully aware of it all, and take it into consideration.

    WHY DID YOU FAIL TO MENTION ELAINE HERA AS A 200 METER CHAMPION? SHE ONLY WON TWO CONSECUTIVE OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALS! WHY IS THAT?
    ELAINE IS THE GREATEST PRESENT 200 METER CHAMPION TODAY! THE OTHERS ARE STILL TO DO IT.

    • @caribbeansfocussports
      @caribbeansfocussports  Před 11 měsíci

      This is based on the World Championships and Elaine Thompson-Herah does not have a World Championship Title in the 200m. All the Caribbean athletes mentioned earned World Championship Titles in the 200m. When it comes on to the Olympics she is the greatest female athlete.
