Actually that's tricky too now, since my female canary learned to sing like a male, and i'm 100% sure she's a female because she laid eggs. But her songs are as wonderful and perfect as a males!

Bravo and nice video....I've been trying to couple Gloster crown hen with male (no crown) but I have problems 1st time 6eggs from which 4 fertiled the first hatched lived 2 days....I see the boy doesn't really wanna do nothing else except eat......I don't know I was told that they aren't sister and brother but.....now the boy is on diet and I let the girl to fix the nest in peace on her own with lots of vitamines and egg as well as eggshelves. If there is again high rate of baby death should I just stop trying? To be sure if crowned girl is mixed with normal canary can it still make crowned babies (of course the Gloster bloodline dies in there)? Nice information video for us dummies and good luck for your this years babies. Kali sarakosti XD
