    This easyJet flight from Amsterdam (AMS) to London Gatwick (LGW) was the perfect scenario for expecting the worst but hoping for the best. I've heard loads of not so nice things about easyJet over the years, and...I was nervous.
    This is footage from flight number 8868, which was on an A320 that was registered as OE-IJK. I had seat number 21F for this 45 minute flight.

    I have panic attacks every time I fly (I’m currently watching loads of plane videos to desensitise myself!) and I’ve had a few turbulent flights with EasyJet, given they’re often small planes and you can feel every movement. However, that’s out of the control of even the pilots often, and all the staff were amazing, attentive, and efficient. I might not take an easyJet for a longer flight given limited room, but it’s incredible and cheap and EASY. The pilots and cabin crew are some of the most professional people I’ve met. Really ideal.

    I flew Easyjet to and from Santorini this year, my first flights with Easyjet and I was pleasantly surprised. Not least by the legroom provided. But this was my first flight in over 10 years and oh my how things have changed. The worst thing EVER is those "carry-on" bags, in reality huge wheeled suitcases that trip you up whilst walking to and from the aircraft. If they restrict your personal legroom, stow them!

  • @avtweet3269
    @avtweet3269 Před 5 lety +2

    This is a good, quality video. I have not laughed so hard about aviation since 8 hours ago, when I thought of a 787 stalling to the ground and then bouncing back up with a cartoon spring sound effect and some text that read *Boeing.* But anyways, I think... I think it's summary time.
    So we start of in Amsterdam preparing for our flight to London Gatwick airport. There's not really much to see, as it looks like a standard airport. We board the aircraft in the biting cold in Amsterdam through airstairs and before long, we are seated. EasyJet seats are known as "slimline" seats, although they looked really comfortable. We go through the flight, where he shows us the inside of the seatback pocket. There really wasn't much else to the video, except for the legroom. I mean, it looked very average to me, but somehow Scott just puts some of that wonderful humor in to make this 45-minute flight hilariously funny. This is what was missing from your last videos. Humor. And you knocked it out of the ballpark.
    That's really it, this was a stellar tripreport for what the flight was. I have no complaints and no recommendations. If you can make every video like this, your sub count will hit 1 million in no time.

    I grew up in England, to an Irish mother and a Dutch father. As you can imagine, I’ve spent my fair share goi g back and forth to Amsterdam and Ireland with both Ryanair and EasyJet for a very long time. I learnt how to “play the game” many years ago. I’ve never had a bad experience with either, however in terms of service I reckon EasyJet just edges the 2. Gatwick are the same with boarding, only to put the gate up an hour or less. This is to get people to spend more inthe shops. Palma Mallorca put up gate departures at just after midnight local for all the day's flights, but can alter. Nice to know if one has an air bridge jetty or not. Terminal A even numbers 8 to 22 have a bridge. Also try speedy boarding and check luggage allowances.

    I took my first Easyjet flight back in 2016 from Gatwick and I was very worried about flying with a low cost carrier. Since then I have flown with Easy around 10 times and I love them.
    I can honestly say I have never had a problem. The cabin crew are always well turned out and smart and come across as being very professional and I love having a chat with the pilots after the flight.
    Recently Easyjet were voted Business airline of the year in the UK
    They really have come on since their early days. I am going to Greece with them in a few weeks and I cant wait and if you do ever fly with them again you must try the bacon rolls. They are sooo good.

I love the 320 which is all they operate, I love how you get to walk to the plane and see it properly, they're always friendly, and their flights have such a nice feeling. I absolutely love flying - no better feeling - and with EZY it's great. Plus the pilots are usually really friendly - they always let me in the flight deck and talk to me (future pilot). Only downside is there are always delays - but i like being in the airport tbh lol so not that bad
